The American Toffee Podcast is a must-listen for any Everton fan, especially those based in the United States. The hosts, Ryan, James, and Alex, are passionate Evertonians who provide a balanced perspective on the club. They strike the perfect balance between technical analysis and fandom, ensuring that listeners get informed insights without descending into blind fanaticism. One of the best aspects of this podcast is the depth of knowledge displayed by Ryan, whose tactical understanding of the game adds an extra layer to the discussions. They also do a great job of moderating the show, keeping it engaging and informative.

One minor downside to this podcast is that Ryan can sometimes come across as overly assured and dismissive of others' opinions. However, this is a small criticism and does not detract significantly from the overall quality of the show. Additionally, some listeners may find it frustrating that there are no videos included with the podcast episodes. Visual content could enhance the overall experience and provide additional analysis.

In conclusion, The American Toffee Podcast is undoubtedly one of the best Everton podcasts out there. It serves as an essential source of Everton-related content for fans all over the world, particularly for American supporters who may feel isolated due to geographical distance. The hosts' passion and knowledge shine through in every episode, making it enjoyable and informative for both casual fans and those seeking more in-depth analysis. Overall, this podcast is highly recommended for any Evertonian looking for quality discussion and coverage of their beloved club. Up the Toffees!

The OG ATP lineup of James and Alex is here this week following Everton's 1-1 draw at Goodison Park vs Marco Silva's visiting Fulham, to take EFC to 5 matches unbeaten. Despite an enormously frustrating 90+ minutes where Everton were comfortably 2nd best, Michael Keane at striker was a genius tactical change from our not at all stubborn manager...  KIDDING! (kind of) Beto's late substitution paid huge dividends as he found himself on the end of a great cross from Ashley Young, and seized the chance with emphasis and ensuing emotion. As usual, we break down the timeline of events and discuss the major moments with some help from our loyal and much appreciated listeners (thank you!). They also look at whether DCL and Harrison make way for Lindstrom and Beto despite the run of positive results.   LINKS: https://linktr.ee/usatoffeepod Intro: Steve Barkwill Production: James Boyman Outro: Kenboib

It was a strange scoreless tie at Goodison vs. a Newcastle team that probably deserved more. The ATP takes us through all the drama in a match that definitely its fair share.  From controversial officiating to tactical mishaps, James and Ryan break this one down in a lot of detail with the help of the tremendous ATP listener base.  The duo get into the tactics, the use (or misuse) of personnel, and the strange decisions from a referee that doesn't seem to favor Everton (also discussed).  Thanks a ton for the excellent comments this week and the discord dialogue that really helped make this a more entertaining pod for a match that was seriously lacking in quality and entertainment.   LINKS: https://linktr.ee/usatoffeepod Intro: Steve Barkwill Production: James Boyman

James and Ryan break down the season opener: from lineup selections, to the questionably overturned VAR decision, to the Ashley Young straight red, and more. They also lament the over-the-top reactions from some of the fanbase who seem to be in rare form for the opening weekend. Sometimes ATP listeners, you get the pod you (in this case, the match) deserve.  After a somewhat boring, yet still controversial draw at Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, the full Power Trio gives their and their listener's takes on what is the obvious talking point in the match – the red card decision vs. Dominic Calvert-Lewin late in proceedings.  Beyond the red, the boys get into some of the discussion-worthy individual performances as well as several tangents that make the pod a bit more interesting than your typical post-match draw diatribe.  Lastly, the ATP goes through a couple transfer rumors and some incoming and outgoing scenarios that may be possible in the January transfer window.
