After Gwen leaves to take Goldie to daycare, Lee tells Rosemary that he wants to turn Culture Lumber into Culture Construction.Bill and Nathan interview McGinty. They ask, “Did you carry a can into the forest?” He says yes… because he had to bury his cat, Mr. Mittens. He put him in the can to protect him from wildlife.Allie tells Elizabeth she's planning a surprise party for Ollie and is thinking circus-themed. Elizabeth immediately says that's stupid. Naturally, Allie asks Elizabeth to help plan it anyway, and now we've got ourselves a party-planning episode.Allie goes to invite Toby to the party. He's like, “No… I'M A CRIMINAL!”Lee finds out about Mr. Mittens and does not feel bad at all about accusing McGinty.Minnie and the Reverend are nervous. Word is getting out about the kids. They need a lawyer but can't afford both legal fees and Angela's schooling.There's a town hall meeting about the fire investigation, and it does not go well. But Elizabeth gives a speech about how maybe everything was just an accident and how Benson Hills residents are now part of the Hope Valley community. Everyone loves it.Lee overhears McGinty on a call with his bank — no loan. McGinty tells Lee he hopes he's happy. Lee actually feels bad… but not bad enough to apologize.Lucas announces that he's running for reelection. He promises Benson Hills will be rebuilt within a year. Rosemary asks how — higher taxes? Lucas says possibly. He could lie and say no, but instead he promises to do whatever it takes to get the community back on its feet. Edie loves it.It's party time. Ollie is very surprised, and he loves it. It's almost perfect, but Toby and Cooper aren't there. Ollie goes to find them. They show up, Ollie gives a speech, and then Toby and Cooper confess that they started the fire. Mazie helps them feel better by admitting she made mistakes when she was a kid too.The episode ends with Lee and Rosemary bringing McGinty an apology. They offer to build him a new cabin — not as charity, but as a model home for prospective clients. They also bring him a new kitten.All is, once again, right in Hope Valley. Bea is invited, even though she never actually had a falling-out with her.First, Bea helps out with a Christmas scavenger hunt. She's surprised when her boyfriend, Detective Troy, shows up—but he's on duty. There's definitely some tension between the two of them.The next day, it's party time. The event is carol-themed, so everyone has to dress in Victorian-era costumes. Of course, it's also a murder mystery party. Each guest is given a character card with lines they're supposed to say. Suddenly, the fire goes out and the lights go dark. When everything comes back on, Mrs. Burton is nowhere to be found, and Des—who's playing the maid—is lying on the floor with the Christmas tree on top of her. Thankfully, she's fine. A guy named Calvin accidentally pushed her when he got scared.At first, everyone assumes Mrs. Burton's disappearance is just part of the game. But then they find a ransom note, and it becomes clear this might actually be real. Bea is known for being good at mysteries, so everyone looks to her to figure it out. Naturally, Detective Troy officially joins the case.They question everyone but don't get any closer to solving it. They discover there's a secret passageway, but Mrs. Burton is still nowhere to be found.Thanks to Bea's keen observation skills, she starts to suspect the doctor and his wife who are attending the party. Eventually, they find Mrs. Burton in a shed outside—completely unharmed. Weird, right?Bea believes the doctor has been having an affair with Mrs. Burton, so she accuses him, and Troy arrests him.But something doesn't quite add up. When Bea notices a photo in the newspaper showing what looks like bruising on the wife's wrist, everything clicks. It wasn't the doctor—it was his wife. She discovered the affair and “kidnapped” Mrs. Burton, hoping to force her husband to wire money so she could leave him. The plan didn't work, but she confesses and is arrested.Bea and Troy have a heartfelt moment and end up spending Christmas together. Lorelai says it's a bad idea… but mentions that she'll be at a coffee shop at 4:12 if he happens to be there.Rory bumps into Dean and is extremely nervous around him.At the coffee shop, Max makes his pitch for why they should go on a date, and Lorelai gives in.Bad news, guys — Cinnamon, Babette's cat (and the Gilmores' neighbor), has passed away. Obviously, they have to throw a wake for the cat, which causes Lorelai to lose track of time and forget about her date. Max shows up anyway, and that's how Rory finds out her mom was planning to go out with her teacher.Rory goes off for some pouty-pouty time, and Dean shows up and says, “I notice you run away every time I'm around, so clearly you're not interested.” Rory finally admits, “I am interested!”She goes back to talk to her mom, and the two make up. He's also desperately searching for a cure for his Hulk-ness, secretly chatting online with someone named Mr. Blue.One day at work, Bruce cuts his finger, and a drop of his blood falls into one of the bottles. That bottle eventually makes its way to the U.S., where it causes serious problems for the guy who drinks it. Using this contaminated bottle, the military tracks Banner's location. A strike team led by Emil Blonsky is sent in to capture him.Bruce transforms into the Hulk and completely wrecks Blonsky's team. Blonsky, instead of being terrified, is impressed and immediately wants that power for himself. He agrees to be injected with a small dose of a super-soldier serum connected to the original Hulk experiment. Surely nothing bad will happen.Bruce returns to the States to grab some of his old research and reunites with his former girlfriend, Betty Ross. Blonsky attacks again, and when Betty is put in danger, Bruce transforms into the Hulk. Hulk fights off the military—including Blonsky—and escapes with Betty.Now officially on the run together, Bruce contacts Mr. Blue, who urges them to meet in New York City.Mr. Blue turns out to be Dr. Samuel Sterns, a cellular biologist who claims he's developed a possible antidote. They test it—and it actually works. But Sterns reveals he's also been stockpiling Bruce's blood samples, believing its “limitless potential” could revolutionize medicine now that a cure exists.Bruce immediately points out that this is a terrible idea because the military is absolutely going to weaponize it. (Did we learn nothing from Iron Man?)Right on cue, Blonsky and the military arrive, capture Banner, and take him away. Blonsky stays behind and forces Sterns to inject him with Banner's blood. Sterns warns him that combining the serum with the radiation already in his body could turn him into something far worse—an Abomination.Blonsky hears the name and says, “Cool. Do it.”Blonsky mutates into a massive, rage-filled monster even bigger and stronger than the Hulk and immediately starts destroying Harlem.Bruce realizes he has to stop him. He jumps from a helicopter, transforms mid-fall, and the Hulk takes on Abomination in an extended, brutal battle across the city. Hulk ultimately defeats him by choking him with a massive chain, stopping only when Betty begs him not to kill Blonsky.After a quiet moment with Betty, Hulk flees the scene and disappears.One month later, Bruce is in Bella Coola, British Columbia. Instead of trying to suppress the Hulk, he's learning to transform on purpose. As his eyes turn green, Bruce smiles. Undeterred, she buys a random car for $300 and continues her journey to California.Against all odds, Claire sneaks onto the show with the winning moms, dances with Zazzy on stage, and vents about her kids on national television. Zazzy loves her and invites Claire backstage. They drink, they smoke, and they have the time of their lives.Seeing this, the family hops on a plane to California, and Zazzy invites the entire family onto the show. She shuts it down immediately; dating a Chilton dad would be way too complicated.While trying to open her locker, Rory accidentally bumps into Paris, who's carrying a project for their next class. The teacher tells Rory she has to help Paris, but Paris flat-out refuses. Starting to think maybe Paris doesn't like Rory.Lorelai gets a call from her neighbor Babette saying someone is at her house installing internet. Lorelai did not order internet. Turns out Emily did. Lorelai tracks her down and tells her that paying for Rory's school does not give her the right to meddle.After school, Lorelai and Rory walk through Stars Hollow, and Lorelai asks Rory if she thinks Luke is cute. Rory says Lorelai can't date Luke because his food is too good—and a breakup would ruin everything.It's time for another Friday night dinner. Emily and Richard tell Rory she should join Richard at the club to golf. Lorelai is not thrilled that they blindsided Rory, because of course Rory wouldn't say no to her grandfather. Things start off awkward, but they end up having a really great time. Rory learns more about Richard, and Richard learns more about his granddaughter.Later, Lorelai is shocked to find out Rory actually had fun. To make matters worse, Richard calls Rory the next day. When Lorelai floats the idea of skipping Friday night dinner, Rory says she doesn't want to. Lorelai is clearly bothered by Rory growing closer to her grandparents and picks a fight over Rory borrowing her sweater without asking.They make up, and Lorelai explains that just because she doesn't have a good relationship with Richard and Emily doesn't mean Rory can't.When they arrive at Friday night dinner, Richard and Emily are thrilled to see Rory—once again making Lorelai feel left out. Instead, the Benson Hills kids immediately start talking about how much they hate it in Hope Valley.Molly thinks she saw someone carrying something into the woods before the fire. Lee is convinced it was McGinty. Bill and Nathan want to handle things by the book, but Lee is frustrated that they aren't arresting McGinty without proof. Honestly, he should move to America.Allie tries to talk to Ollie about Julius Caesar, but the guy could not care less.Later, Lee spots McGinty having a drink at the saloon and confronts him with the accusations. McGinty refuses to engage and storms out. Lee follows, bumps into him, and McGinty falls—leading to Lee getting arrested.Elizabeth catches Oliver reading Julius Caesar. He explains that he wants to talk to Allie about it, so Elizabeth hands him The Grapes of Wrath instead. You know, something a little more contemporary.Elizabeth decides to make the next school day a fun one, complete with an obstacle course. She notices Toby and Cooper are moping, and they explain they're dealing with something like survivor's guilt.Lee gets home from jail and ends up bonding with Gwen. She delivers the paperwork, and the sisters start talking about Danny. Claire insists she could never be with him—unfortunately, Danny overhears this and is clearly hurt.That night, there's dancing. Instead of asking Claire to stay, Danny says he's leaving and peaces out. Claire's sister talks some sense into her and convinces her not to let him go. He's terrified of needles and passes out the second he sees one.The dentist, Didi, is clearly going through it herself, but she helps him out and tells him he'll need to come back on Monday to get the crown put in. When Cliff walks outside, he realizes his car has been towed. Didi sees him and offers to drive him to the tow lot. She's very kind—but also clearly annoyed by Cliff, who is… a lot.They get to the tow lot and find it closed. Once again, Didi helps him out. To thank her, Cliff insists on taking her out to dinner, assuming she has no plans since her kids are at her ex-husband's house. Instead, she decides she wants to crash her ex-husband's party—and wants Cliff to come with her. Cliff understands the assignment and does everything possible to make Didi look amazing while making her ex absolutely miserable.They keep hanging out afterward, and Cliff opens up about his past in improv. Didi suggests they go to a show. Cliff admits he was fired because he “bullied” another comedian and hasn't been back since. He really wants to go, but he's nervous.They go anyway, and his friend Marvin calls him up on stage. Cliff panics and says he can't do it—but Didi pushes him to get up there. The crowd wants him to perform his Baltimorons sketch, but it needs a second person. Everyone gets awkward, so Didi volunteers.It starts off rocky, but eventually improves, and they end up kissing on stage—until Cliff abruptly calls “end scene.” Didi is embarrassed and storms off. Cliff explains that he smelled alcohol on her breath and panicked because he's six months sober. He didn't think he could perform sober, but now he knows he can. He wants to keep the night going, especially since his fiancée is already mad at him.They head to Didi's boat and go out on the water. When they return to the dock, Brittany is waiting for him. She saw on the tracker app that he was in the middle of the water and got worried. They argue, and it seems like they break up.Cliff goes back to Didi's place. They slow dance. They kiss. What a night.The next day, Cliff returns to his place, where Brittany shows up. They talk and officially break up, realizing it's what's best for both of them.Cliff goes back to Didi's house. Apparently, he's been writing letters to Allie all summer.We learn that Gowen's son, Christopher, has been a huge help in getting the new playhouse up and running, including installing electricity.The whole town comes together for the lighting of the first traffic light in Hope Valley.Mr. McGinty shows up — presumably because he heard Bill is back in his red serge. Bill basically tells him, “Your land is ours now, scram.” McGinty responds with a threatening “We'll see about that.”Lucas returns to town and immediately gets a ticket for running a red light. He catches up with Edie, and the sparks are flying, though neither of them is quite sure what comes next.Elizabeth stops by the school to drop off lesson plans for Minnie and ends up having a very serious conversation with Toby about rocks. We are so back.Allie tells Elizabeth how happy she is to be back in Hope Valley, but admits things feel a little weird with Oliver. Elizabeth encourages her to talk to him.She does — he shaves his mustache, she helps him with a map for the new trails, and somehow the sparks start flying again.Elizabeth tells Nathan that he and Allie need to stay in Hope Valley. It's Allie's last year of school — no more sacrifices. Nathan makes a few calls and manages to get the inspector flown to Hope Valley.They're approved. They're staying!!!Bill tells Oliver he's moving in with him — no questions asked — but also makes him stay at work and miss a hike with Allie. With nothing to do but survive, they start opening up about their lives. Things are going fine… until they wake up the next morning and realize all their belongings — including the snacks — have been washed out to sea.The pilot and co-pilot head out to find civilization. They succeed, but can't figure out how to get back to the original island.Max catches a fish and cooks a delicious meal, because of course he does. Stranded life turns out to be kind of amazing. They grow even closer, and when Sophia injures her foot, Max gets the perfect excuse to carry her and take care of her.While exploring more of the island, they spot smoke in the distance. Fire! Civilization! They investigate and discover a campsite — they're saved! Except Max is convinced they're pirates, so they panic and run.There's swinging. There's heroic escaping. There's a celebratory kiss.Except… they didn't actually escape. The “pirates” catch up to them and reveal they're not pirates at all — they work for a resort. Yes. There is a fully operational resort on the island.They're taken to the resort, where Sophia's team is waiting for her. She immediately dives back into work but promises Max they'll stay in touch. When she goes to check, she doesn't find a person — just a baby.Erin tries to track down the baby's parent, but no one is around. In the stroller, she finds a note addressed to Erin and Kelly, asking them to take care of a baby named Nicolas. The note says they're sorry and that they tried.Unsure what to do, Erin brings Nicolas with her to the event, arriving just in time to see Kelly win her award. Afterward, Kelly insists they call the authorities, which they do. Betty from DSS arrives to take Nicolas into care, but Erin immediately feels uneasy. The note clearly suggests the birth mother wanted Nicolas to be with them. Erin and Kelly talk to Betty, and Nicolas ends up going home with them.The next day, their theater friends come over and help brainstorm who Nicolas's parent might be. In frustration, he smashes his guitar on the ground.He visits Molly's gravesite and has a heartfelt conversation with the pastor. Afterward, he apologizes to Kara and the rest of his family. He decides to hold a fundraiser in Molly's honor, encouraging everyone to bring warm clothes to donate — something Molly was very passionate about.The fundraiser is a smash hit. Dylan brings out Mark Wills and his youngest daughter to perform a song that he and Molly were working on before she passed, The Best Thing About Christmas. She hates it when people are mean, so when a customer mistreats an employee, she steals the woman's dog's diamond collar.Nick, who works at a cell phone repair shop, watches the Sterlings security cameras and sees her do this — and also notices her stealing some petty cash. But there's a good reason: her mom is very sick and needs expensive treatment.Nick visits her the next day, asks if she knows where he could find a diamond collar, and hands her a USB before scurrying off. That night, Sophia watches the video — it's footage of her stealing, along with a message to meet him the next day.She meets him, and he blackmails her into helping him rob the Sterlings security locker. She says no while pickpocketing his locker. Needing the money, she reluctantly agrees to help him in exchange for a cut, since she knows his identity as the guy who installed the security footage and was previously arrested for theft.They successfully break in, only to find that the locker is already empty. They decide to call a truce.The next day at work, Sophia finds out that someone really did steal all the items (she suspects it's Nick). She also overhears that Sterling keeps $500,000 in cash in his office's personal safe. She goes to talk to Nick and overhears him having a conversation with his ex about her and their child moving away. He promises Sophia he didn't rob the store without her. They agree to work together again.Sophia figures out what kind of safe it is and assures Nick she can crack it. But they need a key fob that generates a new code every sixty seconds, which Sterling keeps in his bedroom. Sophia tells Nick they need to find a way to get into Sterling's bedroom to steal the fob.Nick admits to Sophia that he never actually stole from Sterlings. The owner did it himself for the insurance money. He framed Nick, who took a plea deal to avoid missing his daughter's life.They consider giving up until they learn that Sterling's wife — who hates him — will be at a fancy gala. They hatch a plan: get him in, seduce her, and have her bring him back to her place so they can steal the fob. They get all dressed up for the gala, and it works. But back at her place, Sterling's wife recognizes Nick. They've been found out. She offers to give them the fob if they cut her into the deal.They plan a new break-in after the store closes on Christmas Eve. The fob works, but when the door opens, they discover another door requiring Sterling's DNA. All seems lost — until Sophia uses her own DNA. It turns out Sterling is her father. Her mom worked there, Sterling got her pregnant, then fired her and cut her off completely.They get inside, grab the money, and on their way out, a security guard comes. They hide but are caught when Nick sneezes. They run, but are ultimately captured. Sophia offers to take the fall if Sterling gives her mom her cut, ensuring he can be with his daughter. Before escaping, she kisses Nick.While they're being chased, Sterling shows up with the police to see what's been taken. When the locker is opened, all the stolen goods are inside.We learn that Cynthia, Sterling's wife, told Sophia and Nick she didn't want a cut of the money — she wanted Sterling arrested to take over the company. She promises to take care of both of them for their help. She also reveals where Sterling had hidden his stolen goods before the insurance claim goes through. Sophia and Nick move the items into the safe, ensuring Sterling is caught for insurance fraud.When the security guard recognizes Sophia, she tells him what she knows, and he lets her go free. Kate finally does, but she decides she's still going to keep moving forward with the 12 Dates.The next date is with Liam, a guy she dated a few years ago — and apparently ghosted. Naturally, the date is an escape room, because nothing says closure like being trapped together. They end up working well as a team, make up, and the sparks start to fly. After they escape, Kate asks him to grab coffee the next morning.Later, she stops by the shop to help Calum bake for the upcoming event, since Sarah is too busy to show up — even though the whole thing was her idea.Meanwhile, Kate's dad goes on a mysterious outing with Evelyn. They stop at a bar, where Evelyn opens up about her past. Eventually, they end up at a cliff and literally scream their grief into the void. Healing!The next day, Kate is feeling overwhelmed juggling two potential suitors. She even accidentally sends a text meant for Liam to Richard. What a mess.But when she shows up for coffee with Liam, he ghosts her — and then texts her to say he “wins.” Cool guy behavior.Back at the shop, Sarah brings in a potential investor for Calum's posh pies. Calum immediately hates both the guy and his ideas. He kicks the investor out… then kicks everyone else out too — and ends up breaking up with Sarah. When Kate finds out, she assumes it's because Sarah told him about his ex, which opens up a whole emotional can of worms Kate was not prepared for.It's time for the next date: salsa dancing. Kate attacks it aggressively. But wouldn't you know it — Richard shows up. They ditch the event, wander around the city together, and eventually end up at Kate's place, where they kiss… only to be interrupted by her mom, Delilah, showing up unannounced. Total buzzkill.Kate wants nothing to do with her mom. When she goes to see Mac, he's also not interested in dealing with Delilah — but Kate follows him to book club anyway, where Evelyn gets a little jealous seeing her there.Laura discovers that the 12 Dates needs a venue for the final event and suggests Calum's shop. Calum is not thrilled with this idea.Meanwhile, Kate's mom keeps trying to spend time with her and Mac, which Kate resists. It stirs up a lot of old memories — her first Christmas without her mom, and the Christmas after Calum's mom died, when Kate was there for him.Eventually, Calum agrees to host the party at the shop. That night, he and Kate hang out while she tries to play wingwoman for him. When her mom shows up again, Calum encourages Kate not to push her away. Kate finally talks to her mom and promises they'll spend more time together at home.Later, Kate goes back to Calum and starts listing all the reasons he'd be a great catch — including that he's a good kisser. This triggers a memory from their childhood: them kissing, Calum telling her he loved her, Kate panicking and running inside… then coming back out to see him kissing another girl.Back in the present, Calum tells her that kissing her was never a joke to him.And then he kisses her again. With Hanukkah starting in two days, no one knows what they're going to do.Jake goes to inspect the damage and spots Nikki across the street. He heads over, and the two immediately start bickering — clearly, nothing has changed.The church offers to let the synagogue use its space. Jake agrees to help with his dad's kids' choir, while Nikki helps with her dad's choir. Naturally, they turn everything into a competition, just like when they were kids. They get so competitive that the kids stop having fun and many quit altogether.They're encouraged to join forces and form one “super choir” for a joint service. As they start spending more time together, sparks fly. Jake helps Nikki work through her fear of singing in public, and they almost kiss — until he's interrupted by a phone call. His band's music is really taking off in the city.Soon after, Jake learns that a record label wants to meet with him. He has to go, even though it means missing the big performance. At first, Nikki asks him not to leave because she's nervous about singing again, but she ultimately encourages him to go. It's his dream.At the performance, Nikki's voice cracks at first — but she powers through. Just when it matters most, Jake shows up, and they sing together.Afterward, Jake tells her the meeting was brief: the label wants to sign them and send them on tour. But he's worked out a plan so he won't be gone for long stretches — he'll move back home and commute to the city for recording.They finally kiss. She'll be interviewing him about his life as an art broker and writing his memoir, but she only has until Christmas Eve to gather everything she needs.One night, while working late, Sabrina craves a sandwich. She calls down to the bar, runs in, and starts eating the first sandwich she sees — which turns out to belong to Ian, who's sitting nearby. He doesn't mind at all and clearly wants to keep talking, but the bar is closing. Maybe another time.The next day, Sabrina continues interviewing Grayson and learns that he was once Hazel Holly's butler at this very hotel. He's hesitant to talk about that part of his life, but when he opens up, she's completely captivated.Later, she runs into Ian again and they grab coffee. He tells her he works for a charity and that it's his first time in the city. What Sabrina doesn't know is that he actually works for the royal family — something he's keeping very quiet. After overhearing a conversation at dinner, she mistakenly assumes he is royalty. Could he be Lord Braxton? She keeps her suspicions to herself as they continue spending time together and sparks fly.Ian suddenly has to leave town to make sure Lord Braxton doesn't marry a woman he just met. They reunite at the Christmas ball, where they dance and share a magical evening — until Ian notices Lord Braxton leaving early and has to follow him. He does return for a kiss first, though. Sabrina is both smitten and increasingly frustrated by how Ian disappears without warning.For various reasons, Sabrina never quite asks him outright if he's Lord Braxton, and Ian never tells her that he works for the royal family. When she joins him at a charity event, she's having a great time — until she spots a jewelry box in his bag. Lord Braxton is known for proposing quickly… is Ian about to propose to her?During a dinner date, Sabrina finally admits she thinks he's Lord Braxton — but before Ian can explain, he's called away again. After hearing more of Grayson's story, Sabrina decides to end things before Ian can break her heart. They rush to see each other, and it's beautiful.Sabrina races to find Ian, but she's told he's already left for the airport — except he hasn't. He stayed because he's fallen for her. He gives her the jewelry box, revealing not an engagement ring, but a snowflake necklace. They talk things through, make up, and he tells her he's moving to the States to expand the charity. They kiss — big ones.The movie ends with Grayson and Lady Braxton getting married. At their wedding, we see that Ian and Sabrina are engaged.She talks with Grayson more and he encoruages her to think about things a bit more. Speaking of Grayson, she ends up finding Grayson his long lost love charlotte. she's lady braxton. he's like oh i know that, but i'm too old for this ish. She's like NO! You're never too old for love. They rush down to see each other and it's wonderful. And Sabrina rushes to find Ian. But she's too late. He's already left for the airport. Except, HE NEVER LEFT! He says he's fallen for her and then he gives her the jewlery box...it's not an engagement ring at all. She calls back again, and Logan starts to feel guilty about how little he can offer.Wanting to do something meaningful, Logan decides to visit the family in person to reassure them and share what good news he can — that the workers are safe. He meets the family and tries to stick up for Big Oil. His boss then instructs him to take photos with the family to show that the company “cares.” Logan does, which upsets Becca.She gets over it fairly quickly when Logan returns to check on her. He offers to help update Woof Moon's website — web design is his real passion. They spend time together in the mountains and nearly kiss, until a kid shouts “EWWW!” from far away.Becca's brother-in-law eventually comes home safe — but then promptly goes back out to the rig to help a buddy. Because he's returning voluntarily, he won't be covered by insurance, and his family doesn't know. Logan does.Logan knows a lot more than he's letting on. His boss is pushing him to get the families of the remaining workers to sign paperwork that would essentially waive their rights.When Becca and her sister discover that Logan knew the truth, they're furious. But Logan has set up a radio system that allows them to communicate with the rig, so they reluctantly keep him around.They finally make contact, only to find that Becca's brother-in-law has his arm pinned under debris. Logan talks to him to keep him awake, and during the tense moment, he admits to Becca that he has feelings for her.Everything works out, the rescue is successful, and Becca and Logan finally kiss. We see this same gal, Sophia, pickpocket a guy who's being mean to some buskers. Then we see that guy from the beginning, Nick, trying to find a new flat — but they're all too expensive.We see Sophia go to work at a fancy store called Sterlings, the same one she was planning to rob at the beginning. She hates it when people are mean. When a woman mistreats an employee, Sophia steals her dog's diamond collar.Nick, who works at a cell phone repair shop, is able to watch the Sterlings security cameras and sees her do this — and also sees her steal some petty cash. But there's a good reason: her mom is very sick and needs an expensive treatment.Nick visits her the next day, asks if she knows where he could find a diamond collar, and hands her a USB before scurrying off. That night, she watches it: it's a video of her stealing, with a message to meet him the next day.She does, and he blackmails her into helping him rob the Sterlings security locker. She says no way — while pickpocketing his locker. Needing the money, she agrees to help him in exchange for a cut, because she knows his identity as the guy who installed the security footage and who was arrested for stealing already.They successfully break in — but everything in the locker is already gone. They decide to call a truce.The next day at work, Sophia finds out that someone really did steal all the stuff (she suspects Nick) but also overhears that Sterling keeps $500,000 in cash in his personal office safe. She goes to talk to Nick about it and overhears him having a conversation with his ex about her and their kid moving away. He promises Sophia he didn't rob the store without her, and they agree to work together again.Sophia discovers the type of safe it is and assures Nick she can crack it. But they need a key fob that generates a new code every sixty seconds, which Sterling keeps in his bedroom. She tells Nick they need to figure out a way to get him into Sterling's bedroom to steal the fob.Nick admits to Sophia he never actually stole from Sterlings. The owner did it himself for the insurance money. He framed Nick, who took a plea deal for a shorter prison sentence so he wouldn't miss his daughter's life.They consider giving up — until they find out that Sterling's wife (who hates him) will be at a fancy gala. They hatch a plan to get him there, seduce her, and have her bring him back to her place — hopefully stealing the fob along the way.They get all fancy and head to the gala. It works. But when they get back to her place, they find out she recognized him. They've been found out. She offers to give them the fob if they cut her into the deal.They hatch a new plan to break in after the store closes on Christmas Eve. The fob works, but when the door opens, they discover another door that requires Sterling's DNA to unlock. All is lost — until Sophia gives her DNA. Turns out Sterling is her dad. Her mom worked there, Sterling got her mom pregnant, then fired her and cut her off completely.They get in and put the money in a bag. On their way out, a security guard comes to investigate. They hide but are caught when Nick sneezes. They make a run for it but are ultimately caught. Sophia says she'll take the fall if she can give her mom her cut, so that he can be with his daughter. Before running out, she gives Nick a kiss.While they're being chased, Sterling shows up with the police to see what's been taken. When the locker opens, all the stolen goods from the vault are in there.Cynthia (Sterling's wife) had told Sophia and Nick she didn't want a cut of the money — she wanted Sterling arrested so she could take over the company. She promised to take care of them for their help. She also told them where Sterling hid his stolen goods before the insurance claim went through. Sophia and Nick moved all those goods into the safe so Sterling would get caught for insurance fraud. It works.When the security guard recognizes Sophia, she tells him what she knows, and he lets her go free. Nick and Sophia meet back up later, and, of course, they share a kiss. Kate is NOT into it.So Laura, Calum, and Mac stage a full-on intervention. Her dad tells her she's too young to spend every evening with him. She reluctantly agrees to the 12 Dates thing… which starts in 90 minutes!She goes, and it's very elaborate. A horse and carriage takes her to a magical igloo in the woods. The problem is… her date never shows.Meanwhile, Mac finally gets back out there. He goes to the coffee shop and bumps into Evalyn — and he's not upset about it.Kate decides to give the service another shot and ends up on a skating date with a guy named Oliver. Despite the fact that he talks about his ex the entire time, they find themselves standing under mistletoe. They decide to go for it and kiss — which immediately leads to him breaking down in tears.Mac is walking around town getting a little exercise when Evalyn pops out and drags him into a dance workout class. He doesn't stay long and walks out.It's time for Date #3. She shows up for a baking competition date and meets her GIANT date, Anthony. The date doesn't go terribly… until he suddenly wants to talk about marriage and kids. She doesn't even know what she wants, and he's like, “Well then why are you even doing this?!”Evalyn helps Mac home and basically tells him to stop feeling sorry for himself. He ends up back at her dance class and crushes it.Kate gets flowers and a card from Richard — the first-date no-show. He apologizes for goofing and says he's down at the coffee shop waiting for her. But by the time she builds up the courage to go, he's gone. He leaves his number, so she texts him that he missed out again. He replies that next time he'll wait all night.This turns into a flirty texting conversation. She finds out he's a journalist working on a story about the 12 Dates. He's also a love skeptic. And he loves Die Hard. Maybe this is the perfect match.At the next date event, she talks with a woman who fell for her first date — but sees him dancing with someone else. They start doing activities both together and separately. Like going to a fancy restaurant but sitting at separate tables. They watch Rudolph together and almost hold hands — but obviously that would be too much.She accompanies him to a family gathering, and it goes great. At this point, they're basically in love!Then it's time for his company Christmas party. They go together, she's feeling great… until she overhears a coworker saying Cooper brought his “lonely neighbor” because he felt bad for her. Brutal. She's hurt, tells him off, and leaves.After some self-reflection, she comes to terms with being okay being single on the 25th.But Cooper's not okay with that. He has to make things right — and he does. He tells her he doesn't want to be “alone together,” he wants to be together together. And they kiss. Big ones.
