In this episode I'm joined by the incredible Niki Seberini, a transformational speaker, breath work and wellness facilitator , and host of the D-Link on Chai Fm. Niki has spent years helping people shift their perspectives, break free from limiting beliefs, and step into a more empowered way of living. She's passionate about mental resilience, mindfulness, and guiding people toward a life of clarity and purpose. In today's conversation, we're tackling a topic that so many people struggle with: Waiting for Your Life to Start. How often do we find ourselves saying, "I'll be happy when…", "I'll start when the timing is right…", or "One day, I'll finally live the life I want"? Niki is here to unpack why we get stuck in this mindset and, more importantly, how we can break free from it and start living fully right now. In March 2020 I interviewed Niki Seberini about her commitment to run the Jerusalem Marathon, having literally hated running her entire life. Inevitably, the marathon was cancelled due to covid. But not one to back down from a challenge, Niki persevered and in true Mind Freedom Fighter style, reframed running as a mindfulness exercise. It is for this reason whether we are conscious of it or not, that exercise is so useful as part of your stress management strategy. She also goes into the practice of observing your thoughts rather than getting sucked into the vortex of anxiety and stress. Niki Seberini is a well known talk show host on Chai FM and mindfulness facilitator and you can find out about getting in tough with Niki on the show notes page. I hope you enjoy this chat as much as we did. Clarion Project Editor Meira Svirksy talks to Chai FM about the recent beheadings in France. Is there a way for France to solve its Islamist problem?
Listen to Clarion Project Editor Meira Svirsky talk to CHAI FM 101.9 radio in South Africa for an update about Islamist terror in the time of COVID.
For nine days at the end of January, on a live televised broadcast of South Africa's Commission of Inquiry into State Capture, Angelo Agrizzi unburdened himself of 19 years of nefarious deeds. His testimony had the nation riveted. Here was a self-admitted criminal kingpin providing the proof, naming the names of those who had been robbing the state in broad daylight. Each day he delivered yet more names from a little black book where the bribes, and those who received them, had been meticulously recorded. Agrizzi carried the title of chief operating officer of Bosasa, a company whose business model was the bribing of state officials to guarantee it was awarded massively inflated government contracts. Over the years Agrizzi estimated that he paid over R432m to Bosasa's crooked associates, with the volume of cash required to feed the corrupt network eventually reaching R6m a month. Getting his hands on so many notes forced Agrizzi to strike deals with cash generative operations like Jumbo Liquor wholesalers who collaborated by paying fictitious invoices - after first extracting a 5% handling fee. Last week Agrizzi broke cover for the first time since his marathon testimony, when he was interviewed by Chad Thomas, a forensic investigator who presents the Confidential Brief show on Johannesburg radio station Chai FM (101.9FM). Here are the highlights of those riveting 45 minutes - with my own context added where appropriate. - Alec Hogg
Your kid's school teaches sex-ed and against smoking, alcohol and drugs. But does it take into account the threat of radicalization in any form? How do we stop our kids from joining ISIS or becoming the next school shooter? It's been quite a week of threats from Iran - with the unveiling of a multi-warhead missile capable of reaching Europe. But for all its posturing, is Iran really a threat? The Islamic Republic bankrolls, trains and arms terror organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas. Only this week, Foreign Minister Mohammad Zarif vowed to back Hamas - a group designated by the U.S. as a terror organization. In a radio interview this week, ChaiFM presenter Kathy Kaler asked Clarion's David Harris how seriously we should take the Iranian threat.
