"Get to the point. Would you recommend us? Why? That's all you need." Notable Moments [02:20] The listener's question about improving customer surveys. [03:56] The two key survey questions Disney uses. [05:37] Challenges with long, complicated surveys. [06:51] Real-time survey suggestion for immediate feedback. [09:36] Simplifying surveys to essential points. In this episode, Lee Cockerell addresses a listener's question about improving customer surveys, emphasizing simplicity and directness. Lee shares practical advice from his Disney experience, advocating for two straightforward questions to effectively gauge satisfaction and areas for improvement. By focusing on core feedback organizations can dramatically enhance the quality and usefulness of responses. The core feedback is as simple as asking would customers return and would they recommend the experience. Lee highlights the importance of brevity and personal engagement to gain meaningful insights from surveys. Read Lee's blog for more from this episode. We're taking you along on a whirlwind couple of days at Walt Disney World—complete with friends, food, drinks, and a few unexpected twists (including a surprise snake sighting near the Skyliner… yep, that happened). We kicked things off with snacks and sips at Bar Riva to see some Cast Member friends alongside our good friends Lucie and Caleb, and the fun just kept rolling from there. We did a little shopping in Pandora (yes, we bought rings), used an Individual Lightning Lane for Cosmic Rewind, and bounced around resorts chasing dinner plans from California Grill to Steakhouse 71 to Three Bridges—where we finally found our perfect Plan C, great food, and some awesome cast member interactions. We also squeezed in some magic at Magic Kingdom to ride Haunted Mansion, placed a special hat embroidery order, and spent a rainy afternoon at Disney Springs catching up, indulging in Salt & Straw, and hiding out at Jock Lindsey's. The trip wrapped up with poolside snacks at Siestas, an evening at Dahlia Lounge, and a final stop at Jeff's Bagels on the way home—because you know we weren't leaving without breakfast handled. It was a trip full of laughs, detours, and Disney magic, and we can't wait to share it with you.MEI-Travel – Expertise. Episode 130 – Laurent Bouzereau on “Jaws at 50” In this special episode, I catch up with the legendary documentary filmmaker Laurent Bouzereau to discuss his latest project, Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, premiering Friday 11th July at 8pm on National Geographic and streaming the same day on Disney+. Laurent, whose behind-the-scenes work on Jaws, Indiana Jones, and Spielberg has inspired me for years, reflects on the challenges of revisiting Jaws 30 years after his original 1995 documentary. We talk about the new angles he explored, from Spielberg's emotional recollections and rare 8mm footage to fresh perspectives from filmmakers like Guillermo del Toro, Jim Cameron, and Jordan Peele. Recorded on the fly on Martha's Vineyard during the Jaws 50th celebrations, this short but meaningful conversation touches on the legacy of Jaws, the humanity behind the production, and how Laurent's approach has shifted over the years. Our 2025 road trip to Naughty N'awlins kicks off with a flight to Disney World alongside Nick & Elizabeth. We dive into the reality of Disney: it's exhausting, not as glamorous as you'd think, and definitely not “sexy.” But there's a silver lining, there's something truly special about experiencing Disney with your closest friends and seeing them enjoy something you love so much. Once we've had our fill of Disney, we hit the road to Panama City Beach. Not even an 8-hour traffic jam can stop us from having a great time. When we finally arrive at our AirBNB, we're pleasantly surprised by how nice it is, especially the bunk beds... where G might just get a chance to live out one of his many fantasies. HOUR ONE: Love, money, divorce, anger, and murder. One Pennsylvania family had it all and then some in the late 1800's. (The Butler County Tragedy) *** Count Saint Germain and Jacques Saint Germain, John and Wayne Carter, the Casket Girls of New Orleans. Despite many years between all of their lives, they all still have one grisly thing in common. All were thought to be, and possibly were, real vampires tied to the Big Easy… a place where real blood-suckers continue to live and roam the streets even now in the twenty-first century. (Vampires of New Orleans) *** They have a long history in the United Kingdom, stalking the moors and fog-carpeted streets in the night. But it appears hounds from Hell have also made their way to the Americas. (American Hellhounds)==========HOUR TWO: On a barren field in the U.S. state of Georgia, five granite slabs rise in a star pattern. Each of them weighs over 20 tons and on top of them, there is a capstone. Nobody knows who built it or why they were placed there, but one popular opinion that their purpose is to guide humanity after a predicted post-apocalyptic event that will come in the not so distant future. (The American Stonehenge) *** When you think "fairies," what comes to mind? You probably picture an adorable and sparkly creature akin to Disney's Tinker Bell, a lovely - and above all, friendly - presence. You may even want to make contact with them. Unfortunately, glittering humanoids with butterfly wings are the stuff of children's books. Retrace faerie folklore, and you'll discover their secret scary origins. (The Dark Side of Fairies) *** In the Summer of 1949, a geologist named Vadim Kolpakov discovered a strange feature on the surface of the earth in the Bodaibo, Irkutsk, region of South-Eastern Siberia. Encircled by a largely treed area, this anomaly is oval with a conical crater that contains a small ball-like mound in its middle. The geologic mystery has baffled scientists who are uncertain of what caused this weird formation. (What Caused the Patomskiy Crater) *** Is there any truth behind the enduring legend of the werewolf? (Planet Werewolf) *** The Red Pen==========SOURCES AND REFERENCES FROM TONIGHT'S SHOW:Big Matt, “Long Road” song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWEvHVz2V6U“American Hellhounds” by Brent Swancer for Mysterious Universe: https://tinyurl.com/yczhkvde“The Butler County Tragedy” by Robert Wilhelm for Murder By Gaslight: https://tinyurl.com/yyn78amz“Vampires of New Orleans” by Brian Harrison for Exemplore: https://tinyurl.com/ycyy4vjpEpisode containing “The Elves of Iceland”: https://weirddarkness.com/?s=Elves+Iceland“Planet Werewolf” by Lea Rose Emery for Graveyard Shift: https://tinyurl.com/vcetp96“The Dark Side of Fairies” by Amber Fua for Ranker: https://tinyurl.com/rbexptk“The American Stonehenge” by Mihai Andrei for ZME Science: https://tinyurl.com/yaogafuz“What Caused the Patomskiy Crater?” by Lochlan McClelland for Historic Mysteries: https://tinyurl.com/wu9r5bc“The Red Pen” by Kjirsty Beth for Paranormality Magazine==========(Over time links seen above may become invalid, disappear, or have different content. 3:18 - Today's Topic Breakdown - It's a Documentary Roundup on today's show, with Sooz Reviews of the My Mom Jayne, the latest installment of Trainwreck (Poop Cruise! Oh my!), and Sally Ride. We learn how Jayne Mansfield was a victim of a Hollywood system that objectifies women and society's decision to put women, especially beautiful women, into a very small box, and the ways secrets can tear families apart. We discuss the cruise that lost power and became a floating toilet in short order, and our theories about why the passengers got along and left with pretty good memories anyway. We talk about astronaut and badass bitch Sally Ride, and how the very reasons she became a trailblazer also made her hard to get to know and somewhat unlikable. Plus, we hear about the "birthday effect" where people are more likely to die on their birthdays, and we learn whether it's actually true or an illusion, and if it's true, why that might be.3:18 - Episode Table Of Contents7:34 - Susie and Sarah on the field at the Pirates game11:06 - Our favorite makeup ever13:40 - Jayne Mansfield Documentary23:40 - Poop Cruise Documentary36:06 - Our favorite comfy athlege clothes.38:06 - Sally Ride Documentary46:45 - The Birthday Effect57:20 - Share your comments about the Birthday Effect.Comment on Spotify, and on YouTubeConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Visit https://shopbeam.com/BRAINCANDY and use code BRAINCANDY to get our exclusive discount of up to 35% off.New customers can get the Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara and a mini-sized Brilliant Eye Brightener at a special set price with free shipping at https://thrivecausemetics.com/BRAINCANDYSave 20% Off Honeylove by going to https://www.honeylove.com/BRAINCANDY #honeylovepodSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

While not officially a DCOM, Susie Q (1996) offered an opportunity for the Disney Channel to start experimenting with what works and what doesn't in a Disney Channel film. For example, high concept premise? Great, love it. Cute romance blossoming between reluctant companions? Also good, let's keep that. Shot of one of the main characters' smashed up corpse in the first four minutes? Probably we don't need to do that one again. And yet without that smashed up corpse we wouldn't have Susie Q (Amy-Jo Johnson), a plucky ghost from the 1950s who shows up in the go-go nineties to right a terrible wrong with the help of the only person who can see her, Zach (Justin Whalin). But can Susie and Zach solve a decades-old mystery without everyone thinking Zach is crazy? Can the town's evil property developer be stopped? And did Zach really kill his own father with an incredible basketball dunk? It's the episode you've all been waiting for… James talking about Foundation for a truly heroic amount of time as not only does the team review (1:00:25) the show's third season (for which James provides Kay with a ‘helpful' primer on the series) but he also gets to sit down with Jared Harris and chat psychohistory and four-dimensional objects to his heart's content (31:46-46:22). Elsewhere, we get back into the Boschiverse with Ballard on Prime (1:19:16), and see if throwback ‘90s sitcoms still hold up with Shifting Gears on Disney+ (1:28:22).Note: time stamps are approximate as the ads throw them out, so are only meant as a guide. If you want to avoid this and would like the podcast entirely ad-free (as well as 17 hours early, with a second weekly show and spoiler specials) then sign up to Pilot+!

In this third episode of the Magic of a Quote series, I unpack one of Walt Disney's most well-known and powerful quotes: “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” I reflect on Walt's journey, the setbacks he faced, and how his unwavering belief in his vision inspires my own path. More importantly, I explore how this quote translates into real life—what it means to have courage, why it's often the missing ingredient in goal achievement, and how we can all take meaningful action despite fear or uncertainty. Whether your dream is big or small, this episode is your nudge to take the next brave step. Enjoy! It's just Kevin and Lauren this week and they manage to keep it pretty tight with some Squid Game talk, Call me Izzy, Smoke, Baby Girl, and Ironheart. They open the show by discussing the first half of the new season, as Lauren has watched 4 of the episodes and Kevin has only watched 3. The review is definitely favorable and the two make their predictions about the finale, both with differing ides about where it could end up! Next up, Lauren takes us to Broadway with Call Me Izzy. It's a one owman show starring the always incredible Jean Smart. It tackles the tough topic of abuse and is delivered wonderfully in a way that only Jean Smart can do. If you're in the New York area and aren't looking for the most uplifting story, this one is worth catching. Kevin takes us back to the small screen with Smoke, the new series on Apple TV+. It follows 2 arson investigators, played by Taron Eggerton and Jurnee Smollett. They are tracking 2 separate arsonists while dealing with their own issues on the home front. Only the tow episodes have aired so far but it seems to be an excellent investigative series and has a great twist at the end of the second episode. Continuing the recent trend of "we watched it so you don't have to," Lauren watched Babygirl starring Nicole Kidman. It's the tale of a highly successful business woman seduced by a younger man and the messiness that ensues. All in all, it doesn't do much to reinvent the wheel and leaves a lot to be desired, even in the genre of steamy romance. Kevin closes out the show with a review of the first 3 episodes of Ironheart on Disney+. The story of Riri Williams is carried over after Black Panther 2 and is surprisingly very solid so far. This is a character that Kevin did not enjoy in her previous appearance, but he's been impressed with the work done in this outing and he's enjoying it so far, even going as far as calling it one of the better Marvel shows. As always, thank you for watching. If you haven't already, don't forget to Like & Subscribe. We love new viewers! Also, leave us comments and let is know how we are doing and what we can be doing better. Enjoy the episode and have a great week! What's your intellectual property truly worth when it's on the line? Not what you hope or what you feel, but what courts, investors, and negotiators will actually pay. This episode of Intangiblia dives deep into the high-stakes world of IP valuation, where patents, trademarks, and copyrights transform from abstract legal protections into concrete dollar amounts. We journey through landmark global IP disputes that have defined how creative assets are valued in courtrooms from California to Colombia. The Samsung v. Apple design patent battle set precedent for how much of a product's profit can be attributed to its appearance. Epic Systems v. Tata Consultancy Services revealed the billion-dollar worth of trade secrets when they cross into competitors' hands. Meanwhile, cases like Liffers in Spain demonstrate that even moral rights, the right to be credited for your work, carry financial value that courts will recognize and enforce. The podcast unpacks three essential valuation methodologies that every creator should understand: cost-based (what it took to create), market-based (what others pay for similar assets), and income-based (what future earnings it will generate). Through fascinating case studies across industries, from pharmaceuticals to streaming services, sneakers to smartphones, we see how these approaches play out in real disputes with massive financial implications.Beyond methodology, we explore how valuation strategies differ across borders, with emerging economies like India pushing back against one-size-fits-all licensing rates, and Mexico's courts mandating that IP damages reflect genuine commercial impact. The digital transformation adds another layer of complexity, as shown in Disney v. Redbox, where even access codes carried enforceable intellectual property value.Whether you're protecting your creative work, licensing your technology, or facing infringement, this episode delivers a crucial message: in intellectual property, real power lies not just in registration but in pricing. Because in the world of IP, value isn't what you feel, it's what you can prove.Send us a text
