Josh De Vaney lives in Perth, Western Australia, about as far from the center of sneaker and basketball culture as you can get, and he has quietly built one of the most complete collections of Michael Jordan toys and figurines on the planet. Not the shoes. The toys. The stuff most of us ripped open as kids and never thought about again. It started with a Christmas hoop in 1994 and turned into an eleven-year hunt that led Josh to a figurine Ohio Art says was never sold or released, a twelve-page feature in Sneaker Freaker, an unplanned meeting with Howard White at Nike, and a moment where Michael Jordan's own grandson ended up playing on a toy hoop that came out of Josh's collection. We get into all of it. Why the toys matter more than anyone realizes, how being remote became the advantage instead of the obstacle, and the very simple thing Josh does to get almost anyone to say yes. This is one of my favorite conversations we've done, and Josh says himself we only scratched the surface. Headphones on for this one.Tell someone you like their kicks today. The broadcast is live. The storm outside is deafening. But inside the studio, the silence is deadly.Trapped inside a soundproof studio amidst a raging Delhi storm, host Ankan Sharmishtha Bose sits down with four strangers from across the country. They are survivors—ordinary people who have looked into the abyss of ancient horrors and lived to tell the tale. From Bengal's shifting waters and Kerala's ancient Tharavadus to Pune's forgotten undergrounds and Uttarakhand's frozen peaks, they have brought back chilling stories. As the live stream unfolds, tales of shape-shifting folklore, suffocating curses, and glacial entities echo through the mics. The artifacts they brought back to the table are meant to be evidence. But as the studio's reality begins to fracture, the temperature plummets, and the broadcast takes a sinister turn, one terrifying question remains: what else did they bring into the room with them? Be warned, Bhay Vasis: True fear does not live in the stories; it lives in the silence that follows. Listen closely to this terrifying chapter of the Bhay Originals universe, but remember... if you feel a sudden chill in your room, do not take off your headphones. This week on The Pro Audio Suite, the crew dives into one of the biggest traps in audio production: trusting what you think you're hearing. Robbo talks about working in an unfamiliar studio and being reminded how much your room, routing, monitoring chain, headphones, templates and habits shape the way you work. The conversation moves into headphone mixing, crossfeed, SPL monitoring, virtual control rooms, Sonarworks, Waves room emulation, EQ Mac, old school graphic EQs, and the fine art of not destroying your mix because your room has a 120Hz attitude problem. There's also a proper old school tangent involving INXS, cassettes, car checks, Chernobyl, 1980s hi fi EQs, and the horror of someone flattening your carefully rung out live sound graphics. If you've ever mixed in a strange room, questioned your headphones, or wondered whether your monitors are telling the truth, this one's for you. Thanks to our sponsors, Austrian Audio.

You made it to the end of the day. This 15-minute guided body scan is for the nights when your body is tired, your mind is still carrying things, and sleep feels close enough to want but difficult to reach. We move slowly from the top of the head down to the feet, pause with the whole body, and then travel back up again. The attention moves like a tide going out and returning, with your body becoming a little heavier and quieter each time. There is nothing to achieve here. You do not need to relax perfectly, empty your mind, or force yourself to fall asleep. You can simply notice what is present and let the surface beneath you carry more of your weight.Use this meditation while lying in bed, resting after a long day, winding down after work, or whenever your nervous system needs a gentler transition into sleep. Some tension may soften. Some of it may stay. Either way, your body does not have to solve anything tonight.Headphones are helpful, though a quiet speaker works too. Keep the volume low and comfortable. This meditation is intended for relaxation and general wellbeing. It is not a replacement for medical care, therapy, or professional support. The day is over. If your idea of a relaxing weekend includes a rogue pit bull at a charity event, a haunted A-frame cabin, and a guy waking up to a stranger standing over his bed, congratulations—you've found your people. This daily comedy episode starts with a huge thank-you to everyone who came out for Operation Food Search and helped absolutely crush the food drive. The listeners showed up, stayed all morning, and filled trucks with donations because apparently our audience enjoys doing good deeds almost as much as they enjoy making poor decisions. Then things get weird.A listener decides that "leash laws" are more of a suggestion than an actual rule and lets his dog roam free through a crowded event full of kids, other dogs, and enough audio cables to shut down an entire broadcast. Somehow the dog behaves better than its owner.Meanwhile, one of us spends the weekend at Innsbrook, where a mysterious painting crashes to the floor at 4:15 in the morning immediately after watching old episodes of Unsolved Mysteries. Was it gravity? Was it ghosts? Was Robert Stack involved? We may never know. And then comes one of the wildest stories we've heard in a while. A heavily armed prepper moves into a new rental home, goes to sleep, and wakes up to find a man standing over his bed. The story somehow gets even crazier when it turns out the "intruder" is a realtor innocently showing the house because of a paperwork mistake. Nobody gets hurt, but everyone involved definitely needs a nap and probably therapy.Elsewhere in this daily comedy chaos:We debate whether Innsbrook is basically the Hamptons of St. Louis.Tim goes full cowboy mode at a Taylor Swift and Dolly Parton-themed party.Riz and Rafe perform a deeply uncomfortable rendition of "Islands in the Stream" at a wedding.Father's Day gifts range from practical torches to futuristic neck fans that look slightly ridiculous but feel amazing. We discuss alpha-gal syndrome, heat waves in Paris, and why every town in southern Illinois suddenly seems to be thriving.Basically, if your week has already gone off the rails and it's only Monday, this daily comedy episode is here to remind you that everyone else is figuring it out as they go too.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Your microphone might be amazing, your preamp might be expensive, and your performance space might be spotless. None of that matters if the person wearing the headphones wants to rip them off after thirty seconds. This week on Inside the Recording Studio, Chris and Jody tackle the surprisingly important world of headphone monitor mixes, proving that a happy performer usually starts with hearing the right things at the right time. Whether you're piecing together home studio gear in a spare bedroom or running sessions in a polished recording space, they walk through practical ways to build cue mixes that help people perform instead of panic. The episode explores everything from clever budget friendly hacks to dependable semi professional solutions and full blown monitoring systems found in larger studios. Instead of suggesting that everyone needs expensive equipment, Chris and Jody explain the strengths and compromises of each approach so you can make smarter decisions with the gear you already have. Along the way, they remind listeners that recording isn't only about cables and equipment. It's about people. A performer who feels comfortable is much more likely to deliver an inspired take, and that starts with giving them a headphone mix that makes sense. Chris and Jody spend time discussing client psychology, why communication matters, and how small adjustments can completely change someone's confidence in front of the microphone. Naturally, things don't stay completely serious for long. Like every episode, practical engineering advice gets interrupted by a healthy helping of lighthearted nonsense that somehow makes the technical lessons even easier to remember. The laughs never get in the way of the information, but they certainly make the trip more entertaining. The conversation also digs into building cleaner monitor chains, balancing cue mixes without creating confusion, and improving overall recording workflow. These are simple recording setup tips that apply whether you're recording yourself, a friend, or paying clients. Better planning means fewer interruptions, less second guessing, and more time capturing performances that actually feel natural. You'll also get this week's Friday Finds and another Gold Star Word Challenge, making the episode equal parts educational and entertaining. No matter where you record, your headphone mix has more influence than you might think. The right balance helps artists relax, perform confidently, and stay creative. The wrong balance can stop momentum before the session really begins. If you've ever heard someone say, "Can I get a little more of me?" then this episode belongs in your playlist. Subscribe to Inside the Recording Studio and come back next week for another episode filled with practical recording advice, real world solutions, and just enough nonsense to remind you that making great records should still be fun. #HeadphoneMonitorMixes #HomeStudioGear #RecordingSetupTips #MonitoringSystems #MonitorChains #CueMixes #StudioWorkflow #RecordingEngineers

A guided meditation to help with overthinking, anxiety, and a mind that just won't slow down. Some days your head feels on overdrive. You sit down to relax and the thoughts keep racing anyway. This meditation doesn't ask you to stop the thoughts. You'll rest your attention on your breath, lose it, get pulled into a thought, and come back. That's it. That's the skill of mindfulness, and it gets stronger every time you practice. No experience is needed to start. Feel free to sit on the floor, sit in a chair, or even lie down. Headphones can help, but they aren't required. You can't do this exercise wrong. Having your mind wander off and coming back isn't the practice failing, it's actually the practice working. I'm Kristina Orlova, a licensed marriage and family therapist. I treated anxiety and OCD, and I live with OCD myself, so I understand what a loud brain feels like. This meditation is general and may work for anyone, whether you deal with anxiety or just want to reset your day. One honest note. This is for general wellbeing, not a substitute for therapy. If breath focus ever makes you more anxious, that's a real thing that happens to some people. Open your eyes, listen to the sounds around you instead, or take a break. What if the reason your habits haven't stuck has nothing to do with willpower? What if the problem was never motivation, discipline, or how badly you want it — but the way the system was designed in the first place?James Clear spent years studying how behaviour actually changes. Not the motivational story we tell ourselves. The real mechanics underneath — the neuroscience, the psychology, the architecture of lasting transformation. What he found became one of the best-selling books of the last decade. Over 20 million copies sold. Translated into 50+ languages. Read by everyone from elite athletes to Fortune 500 CEOs.But reading about a system and running that system are two entirely different things. That's what this episode is.In this Modelling Excellence Monday session, Adam takes the seven core principles from James Clear's Atomic Habits and builds a deep hypnosis session around them — so you don't just understand the philosophy intellectually, you begin to live it from the inside out. This is not a summary of the book. This is an installation. The Seven Principles Modelled in This Session:You Don't Rise to Your Goals — You Fall to Your Identity — Lasting change comes from becoming the type of person who naturally produces the results you wantEvery Action Is a Vote — Every habit you perform is a vote for the person you wish to become. Cast enough votes and the election is wonMake It Obvious, Attractive, Easy, Satisfying — The four laws of behaviour change that make good habits inevitable and bad habits impossibleThe 1% Rule — Marginal Gains Compound — Get 1% better every day and you'll be 37 times better by the end of the yearNever Miss Twice — Missing once is an accident. Missing twice is the beginning of a new (wrong) habit. Always come backEnvironment Design Over Willpower — We don't rise to the level of our goals, we fall to the level of our systems. Design your environment and willpower becomes irrelevantThe Plateau of Latent Potential — Real change is invisible at first. You put in the work, nothing seems to happen... then suddenly, everything clicks. The breakthrough was being built all alongHow to Use This EpisodeFind somewhere quiet. Headphones in. Eyes closed. Give yourself 45 minutes where you won't be disturbed. You don't need to have read Atomic Habits to get everything from this session. And if you have read it — this will take everything you already know and move it from your head into your bones. If You Missed Episode 001Last week Adam modelled the mind of David Goggins — seven principles including the 40% Rule, the Cookie Jar, and Never Finished, built into a full hypnosis session. Search The Hypnotist — Modelling Excellence Monday to find it.Two very different people. Two very different philosophies. The same destination: becoming the person you're capable of being.Who Should Adam Model Next?Modelling Excellence Monday is built on one of the core ideas of NLP: anything that any human being can do can be elicited, modelled, and replicated. If you can identify the beliefs, the internal strategies, the way a person processes the world at their best — you can hand that as a shortcut to anyone willing to step into it.Success leaves clues. Hypnosis is how we install them.So who inspires you? Who do you watch and think — I don't just want to admire that, I want to understand how they think? It could be an athlete, an entrepreneur, a scientist, a philosopher, an artist, a leader. Send us Fan MailTreatment Website:https://ambio.life/Documentary: https://www.inwavesandwarfilm.com/A lot of people talk about PTSD like it's only flashbacks and bad dreams. Bill describes something darker and quieter: sitting in church, worshiping, and still getting hit with suicidal ideation so loud it feels like a command. He's a professional counselor who works mostly with veterans, and he's also a pastor, which makes his story even harder to ignore. He knows the clinical language, the coping patterns, and the church expectations and he admits what it's like to keep it together at work while falling apart at home. The conversation turns when Bill sees a friend return from Mexico after a medically supervised psychedelic-assisted treatment for PTSD and substance use. That friend looks different: sober, steadier, and more alive. Bill takes us through the questions Christians ask about mind-altering substances, the scriptures he wrestles with, and why “controlled treatment” isn't the same thing as self-medicating. He also talks about spiritual preparation, prayer, and staying grounded in faith inside a space that often mixes New Age ceremony, breathwork, and alternative healing language. From screening, EKGs, and medication restrictions to sweat lodges, ibogaine, and 5-MeO-DMT, Bill breaks down what the process actually looks like and what it cost him emotionally. He shares the trauma that surfaced, the way control kept showing up as the real battle, and the moment he felt God push him to stop hiding who he is. On the other side, he reports concrete changes: no suicidal ideation, better sleep, fewer intrusive images, less anger, and a renewed daily routine that protects his marriage and his mind. If this story challenges you, share it with someone who needs hope, and check the links in the description for the resources we mention. Before the Wendigo became every horror movie's favorite antlered skeleton boy, it was a real fear in real communities, and people kept ending up in actual courtrooms over it. We pulled four documented Wendigo encounters spanning almost 400 years, from a Jesuit missionary's letter in 1636 to a Wisconsin bow hunter who emailed a paranormal blog in 2019. Somewhere in the middle is a guy named Swift Runner who confessed to being possessed by one before they hanged him. Court records. Trial transcripts. Witness testimony.
