The conversation also touches on The Dragon Legacy by Nicholas DeVere, which presents the Serpent Seed concept through a secular lens, connecting it to elite and royal bloodlines. The episode delves into the mystery of Esau's unusual birth and introduces the topic of elongated skulls, with a close look at a real specimen. These skulls, with their distinct non-human features, are examined as possible evidence of a hybrid race linked to the fallen ones and the ongoing Seed War. #history #ancienthistory #ancient #usa #podcast #aliens
In today's episode of The LoCo Experience podcast, I hosted Joel Gustafson and Jess Gries from Seed and Spirit Distillery. Joel, Founder and Head Distiller, and Jess, Co-Founder and Chief Enabling Officer, shared their journey and why in starting the distillery in 2022. We discussed the concept of a vertically integrated distillery, where they oversee the process from growing their own grains to producing the final spirits. We talked through the economics of distilling, and the creation of their product lineup, including unique offerings like 'Whizcal,' a whiskey-mezcal hybrid, the Forged in Fire line honoring military service members, and future aged spirits to come. We also discussed their future plans for an expanded tasting room and oyster lounge in the former Funkwerks Brewing location. We also delved into their shared history in event management and shared some wild stories from their time running music festivals. The segment concluded with the 'Loco Experience Challenge,' where each of us shared some of our craziest stories, and eventually crowned Joel the champion. The episode is chock full of entrepreneurial insights, personal anecdotes, and plenty of laughs - so please enjoy, as I did, my conversation with Joel Gustafson and Jess Gries of Seed & Spirit Distilling. As we continue our look at Acts chapter eight today, we are reminded of the fact that God can change anyone's life - no matter how bad they've been. Saul of Tarsus is a perfect example of this. He was a persecuted of Christians. He mocked them, tortured them and found great delight in their pain. Then he encountered the very God he was mocking, and his life changed completely. This episode features highlights from Ben's live keynote presentation, revealing why sugar is not the true cause of obesity. The real driver is cellular inflammation. When the cell membrane becomes inflamed, hormones cannot communicate, fat-burning shuts down, and chronic disease begins to develop. Key Points From the Keynote • Obesity is not genetic. It is epigenetic and driven by lifestyle choices. • Seed oils are the biggest trigger of cellular inflammation and mitochondrial damage. • These inflammatory fats remain in the body for years. The half-life of linoleic acid is 680 days. • One french fry cooked in vegetable oil can create aldehydes equivalent to 25 cigarette drags. • Weight gain is a symptom, not the root cause. You do not lose weight to get healthy. You get healthy first, then weight loss follows. • Thoughts influence metabolism. Negativity increases inflammation while gratitude supports healing. • Self-image shapes behavior. You cannot outperform the identity stored in your subconscious. • Purpose and clear goals improve longevity. People live longer when they have something meaningful to pursue. • Vitamin G (gratitude) reduces cortisol, blood pressure, blood sugar, and strengthens the immune system. Takeaways • Remove seed oils to reduce inflammation and restore hormonal signaling. • Upgrade thought patterns and self-image to break self-sabotage cycles. • Purpose and gratitude are two of the most powerful metabolic tools available.
You're listening to Voices of Your Village, and today we're diving into a conversation that so many parents are craving—but often don't know how to start. I got to sit down with Dr. Hina Talib to talk about body image and development in the pre-teen years—those ages nine to twelve when so much is changing, inside and out. We explored how to navigate this stage with empathy, how to foster open communication with kids around their bodies, and how to create a home environment where curiosity and big feelings are welcomed—not shut down. We also talked about the impact of societal pressures, how to model healthy relationships with food and body image, and when it might be time to bring in expert support. This episode is an invitation to show up with compassion—for yourself, and for your growing-not-so-little one—as they move through this pivotal season of development. Alright folks, let's dive in. This, is Cricket Cliches, the all-new, slightly strange cousin of your favourite football podcast hosted by commentator Daniel Norcross with cricket journalists Dan Gallan and Dave Tickner, and the soothingly familiar presence of FC regular Nick Miller. In our very first episode, on the eve of The Ashes, we dive headlong into the Bazball debate… why does it wind Australians up so much? And while we're at it, just call the ball a ball. We try to escape the “moral victory” maze and there's a look back at the article which inspired the show, Dan G's dictionary of batting vernacular. And we spend too much time trying to come up with names for a cricketing equivalent of Mesut/Haaland/Dicks before answering our first listener question: what exactly is a ‘heavy ball'? I've seen so many patients struggle with fatigue, brain fog, and burnout, and this conversation gave me a new way of thinking about why that happens and how to approach it. On this episode of The Dr. Hyman Show, I'm joined by Dr. Martin Picard, a Columbia scientist studying how energy flows through the body, and what that flow means for how we think, feel, and age. We touch on a simple idea that could reframe the way you understand your own energy, and how your daily choices influence it over time. Catch the full conversation on YouTube or listen wherever you get your podcasts. We uncover: • Why your energy can feel “off” even when labs look normal • What mitochondria communicate beyond just ATP production • How stress, recovery, and sleep shift your cellular energy capacity • Why individuality matters more than group averages in real life health outcomes • The simple daily choices that build or drain metabolic resilience over time At the end of the day, energy is the foundation of how we show up in our lives, and we can influence it more than we think. The Ash Said It Show gets an exclusive featuring Matt Janz, a key leader at Deep Roots Harvest. This conversation offers a high-level, strategic deep dive into how to build a dominant, trusted, and compliant Cannabis Brand in a hyper-regulated environment. Matt Janz provides an unparalleled look at how Deep Roots Harvest translates its 'Farm to Body' commitment—the transparency of seed-to-sale vertical integration—into compelling Marketing Content that effectively bypasses competitors focused solely on price. The conversation reveals top creative strategies used to navigate Nevada's notoriously strict cannabis advertising regulations (including the rigid 71.6% minimum adult audience rule) to deliver high-impact marketing and build genuine community. Janz further dissects the dynamics of the segmented market, detailing how they leverage sales data and consumer behavior insights (e.g., the success of Helix Twist Edibles) to prioritize marketing spend across their diverse product categories. The discussion also addresses the critical task of ensuring their Digital Marketing Journey seamlessly aligns with the Physical Dispensary Experience across their six Nevada locations to drive tangible foot traffic conversion. Finally, Janz tackles the critical challenge of maintaining the brand's unique 'Nevada roots' and local focus during the transition following their acquisition by a large Multi-State Operator (MSO), offering a blueprint for avoiding brand dilution during expansion into new regional markets. Web: https://www.deeprootsharvest.c... About the brand: Deep Roots Harvest is a leading vertically integrated cannabis operation headquartered in Nevada. Our mission is built on the "Farm to Body" philosophy, ensuring unmatched quality control and transparency throughout every stage, from cultivation to the final product. We hear the history of, wait for it, the Thong Song, and are delighted by the vocal stylings, song construction, and cultural impact of this one-hit-wonder. We learn about an imprint in a piece of cement in Chicago that has become an unlikely tourist attraction, and despite it's connection to things that scurry, Sarah is bewitched. We hear how scholars solved the mystery of what caused it, and we have ideas for how to make the most of it. These dangerous food additives are designed to get you hooked! Find out about the hidden toxins in your diet that could be taking a serious toll on your health. Avoid these ingredients by any means necessary!0:00 Introduction: The most dangerous ingredients in the world0:23 Why are these toxic ingredients so addictive?3:06 10 deadly ingredients in processed food 6:00 Seed oils and your health12:05 Download the Dr. Berg app! How do they turn cheap, toxic ingredients into a highly addictive food? The worst food ingredients often have the following components:•Devoid of protein•Create a blood sugar spike•Artificial flavorings•MSG•Manipulated texture •Good mouth feel•Bliss point •Signals the release of dopamine •Pleasure when eating Avoid the following toxic ingredients, often found in ultra-processed foods.1. Trans fatsSome foods still contain trans fats. This ingredient is even worse when combined with refined carbohydrates. 2. High fructose corn syrup This synthetic sugar goes straight to the liver, contributing to a fatty liver and insulin resistance. Sweet drinks made with alcohol cause significant liver damage and affect the brain, nervous system, and heart. Seed oils exacerbate this problem. 3. Sodium nitrate This is a preservative found in bacon and hot dogs, and it becomes increasingly toxic when heated.4. Fried potatoes/burnt toastAdding heat to a starch creates toxic byproducts such as aldehydes and acrylamide. These toxic ingredients cause inflammation in the body. Starch or sugar combined with protein creates AGEs, harmful byproducts that damage your arteries, eyes, kidneys, and brain. 5. Artificial sweeteners Artificial sweeteners have a toxic effect on the body, especially the microbiome. 6. Glyphosate Glyphosate is patented as an antibiotic and classified by the WHO as a probable carcinogen.7. MSGMonosodium glutamate affects the hypothalamus in rats, causing them to overeat and become obese. This ingredient can make low-quality food taste better than it really is. 8. Phosphate This stimulant can contribute to arterial calcification, especially if you don't have enough vitamin K2. 9. Potassium bromateThis ingredient is a bread conditioner and is classified as a probable carcinogen. 10. Synthetic flavoringThe ingredient “flavoring” consists of hundreds of chemicals used to manipulate your sense of taste. Chronic consumption of artificial flavors can dull your appetite for real food. This week on ShrinkChicks, we're talking all about that very exciting (and stressful) holiday coming up … Thanksgiving! Em and Jen are unpacking the messy mix of gratitude, giving, receiving, and toxic positivity that tends to come with the holidays. From the anxiety of picking the perfect present to the vulnerability of accepting gifts (or help and compliments), they explore why balance and authenticity matter more than forced thankfulness. They also dig into the psychology behind giving and receiving including why generosity can sometimes mask control, why constant positivity can be draining, and how “you should be grateful” can turn into a weapon. Listener questions cover silver-lining pressure, gratitude fatigue, jealousy during the holidays, and how to stay grounded when life isn't all pumpkin pie. Because being thankful doesn't mean pretending everything's perfect; it just means letting the real stuff coexist with the good.Tune in to gain insight, awareness, and action! You spoke, and we listened. After our last episode with registered dietitian Kim Shapira, my DMs were filled with thoughtful questions, concerns, and requests for clarification. Some of you were curious, some were skeptical, and honestly? I love that. Because that's exactly why I asked Kim to come back.In this follow-up conversation, Kim answers your most pressing questions with science-backed honesty. We're diving deep into the topics that sparked the most conversation: seed oils, parasite cleanses, food sensitivities versus allergies, and what to do when you're genuinely struggling with food addiction or binge eating. What I appreciate most about Kim is that she doesn't tell you what to think but she explains the why behind it. She's a friend, but more importantly, she's someone who stands behind what she says with research, experience, and a genuine desire to help people heal their relationship with food and their bodies.Connect with Kim Shapira:Website: https://www.kimshapiramethod.com/Book: This Is What You're Really Hungry ForInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/kimshapiramethod/Resources mentioned:EverlyWell food sensitivity testingConnect with Sabrina:https://www.instagram.com/Sabrina_Soto/www.SabrinaSoto.com

In this message, Brook teaches about creating a culture of prayer in the home begins with recognizing the formative power of words and embracing prayer as the slow, hidden work that shapes generations. Using Luke 5:16 as a framework, the message emphasizes that prayer is an ongoing, relational exchange with God that re-centers the soul, builds over time, and invites His will into everyday life. Cultivating this culture happens through embodying prayer personally, speaking consistent words of blessing, and practicing faithful, steady habits rather than relying on intensity or emotion. Using examples from Scripture, church history, and family life, we see how prayer becomes a quiet but transformative force—forming identity, easing anxiety, healing wounds, and shaping the spiritual lives of children and communities. Ultimately, the call is to sow small, faithful “hidden seeds” of prayer through daily presence, intentional language, and steady love, trusting God to grow spiritual fruit over time in the ordinary rhythms of life.

One of the biggest hurdles to native plant gardening is sourcing native plants. Whereas nurseries are starting to fill the demand, it is nevertheless difficult to keep up with demand. Sourcing seed from the wild is a major part of this process, but how do we do it ethically? Stripping native plant populations of their seeds isn't good for the habitats they comprise so this is where groups like the Mid-Atlantic Regional Seed Bank (MARSB) come in. Their mission is to conserve and wisely manage the Mid-Atlantic Region's wild seed resources, through scientific sampling, ethical collection, banking, and curation, and to encourage and actively contribute to the development of the Native Plant Material supply chain throughout the region. Join me and their Native Seed Collection Coordinator John Price as we discuss the process behind what it takes to achieve this mission and some of the major struggles they face. A Seed Shat with Bill McDormanRegister for our monthly Seed Chat at SeedChat.orgIn This Podcast: In this month's Seed Chat Greg Peterson and Bill McDorman discuss the pressing issue of seed sovereignty in the age of corporate control. They highlight the growing dominance of a few corporations over the global seed supply, which has resulted in decreased biodiversity and increased farmer dependency. The conversation covers the importance of local seed libraries, open-source seed models, and the traditional practice of saving and sharing seeds as pathways to food freedom. Additionally, they emphasize the detrimental impact of capitalism on biodiversity, discuss historical and legal contexts like the Diamond vs. Chakrabarty Supreme Court decision, and introduce various resources and organizations working to combat corporate control in agriculture, such as the ETC group and Seed Library Network. Practical advice for listeners includes growing a diverse range of seeds, starting or joining seed libraries, and engaging in community-driven agricultural initiatives.List of mentioned resources:· First The Seed, the Political Economy of Plant Biotechnology. https://uwpress.wisc.edu/Books/F/First-the-Seed· Shattering by Pat Mooney and Carrie Fowler· https://SeedupInABox.com· https://GreatAmericanSeedUp.org· Diamond Vs Chakbarty - https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/447/303/· Liberate Diversity - https://liberatediversity.org· There's an ongoing international survey hosted by Let's Liberate Diversity https://seeds.ifoam.bio/seed-network-survey· First the Seed: The Political Economy of Plant Biotechnology, Jack Ralph Kloppenburg, Jr.https://uwpress.wisc.edu/Books/F/First-the-Seed2· Consolidation in the Seed Industry - https://philhoward.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/seed2022.png· Seeds & Genetic Diversity - https://www.etcgroup.org/issues/seeds-genetic-diversity· ETC Group- https://www.etcgroup.org/issues/corporate-monopolies· Going to Seed - https://goingtoseed.org/· Adaptation Gardening - https://goingtoseed.org/products/1406309· Seed Library Network -
