This teaching warns that many modern seminaries and theological institutions have been overtaken by the zeitgeist—the “spirit of the age”—which the speaker identifies as a vehicle for deception within the church, particularly through academic theology. Tracing influences from 19th-century German liberalism, Darwinism, Hegelian philosophy, consumerism, and Eastern mysticism, the speaker argues that these ideas have steadily undermined biblical authority, the historicity of Scripture, and core gospel doctrines. He cites numerous well-known institutions and leaders as examples of how compromise on issues such as biblical inerrancy, Christ's atonement, sexuality, Israel, and ecumenism has led to doctrinal drift, moral confusion, and institutional collapse. The message urges believers—especially those considering ministry training—to exercise extreme discernment, prioritize Scripture over tradition or academic prestige, and remember that teachers will be judged more strictly, concluding that a Christ-centered, biblically grounded faith is ultimately more vital than formal theological credentials. This teaching was originally taught on RTN TV's "Word for the Weekend" on October 25, 2025 and can be found on RTN and Moriel's YouTube and ministry channels. Word for the Weekend streams live every Saturday. See RTNTV.org for more information

In this episode of The Better Life, Dr. Pinkston welcomes Brett Aldrich, founder of Seed the Spirit, for a deep dive into the 5,000-year-old science of Ayurvedic medicine. As an Ayurvedic healthcare counselor and somatic breathwork teacher, Brett shares how we can move beyond the "corporate model" of contemporary medicine to find a personalized path toward true wellness. The conversation explores how the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and ether—make up our unique constitutions and how "doshas" (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) influence everything from our physical health to our emotional temperament. Brett explains that while the world around us may feel chaotic, Ayurveda provides the tools to remain centered and "whole" within that chaos. Broadcast from KSQD, Santa Cruz on 2-26-2026: Dr. Dawn opens with an urgent measles advisory, noting the virus has an R-value of 15 compared to COVID's peak of 5, with South Carolina reporting over 1,000 cases. She recommends those who received only one MMR shot—particularly people now in their 60s—get an immune titer blood test, as protection declines after 40-50 years. Measles can cause "immune amnesia" destroying immunity to other pathogens, and rarely leads to fatal subacute sclerosing panencephalitis years later. Dr. Dawn criticizes Quest Labs' cholesterol reporting, which flags average levels as "moderate risk" with alarming red H markers even when values fall within their own stated normal ranges. She explains this creates unnecessary panic and pushes patients toward statins based on outdated 2008-2012 guidelines, when cardiology has since recognized that cholesterol can be too low. An emailer asks how an EKG can detect a past heart attack from "jagged lines." Dr. Dawn explains that each spike represents electrical signals moving toward or away from electrode pads, and a 12-lead EKG views the heart from multiple angles—smaller-than-expected spikes in specific leads indicate dead or damaged heart muscle. She urges everyone to learn CPR and AED use, which more than doubles survival chances. An emailer reports that food tastes strong on the first bite but becomes tasteless thereafter. Dr. Dawn identifies numerous medications causing taste changes including calcium channel blockers, beta blockers, statins, diuretics, and even acetaminophen. She also highlights zinc—both deficiency and toxicity above 40mg daily can impair taste, noting a zinc nasal spray was pulled from market after causing smell loss. An emailer asks about Prenuvo full-body MRI scans costing $499-1,000. Dr. Dawn cautions that while Prenuvo found 22 cancers in 1,000 people scanned, 1 in 20 scans requires follow-up biopsy and more than half are false positives—leading to stress, expense, and potential complications from unnecessary procedures. An emailer asks about seed oils after reading a Johns Hopkins article defending them. Dr. Dawn distinguishes fruit oils (olive, avocado) from industrially-extracted seed oils requiring hexane solvent, a neurotoxin that may leave residues despite claims of evaporation. She cites a BMJ study showing coconut oil raised HDL (good cholesterol) while matching olive oil's LDL impact, and recommends cold-pressed oils while avoiding hexane-extracted products, especially for infants.

He said to the woman, “Has God really said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree in the garden'?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees of the garden, 3 but not from the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden. God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it. You shall not touch it, or else you will die.'” 4 The serpent said to the woman, “You certainly will not die. 5 In fact, God knows that the day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was appealing to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate. She gave some also to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 The eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized that they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for their waists. [1] 8 They heard the voice of the Lord God, who was walking around in the garden during the cooler part [2] of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 The Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 The man said, “I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, so I hid myself.” 11 God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree from which I commanded you not to eat?” 12 The man said, “The woman you gave to be with me—she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” 13 The Lord God said to the woman, “What have you done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” 14 The Lord God said to the serpent: Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all the livestock, and more than every wild animal. You shall crawl on your belly, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. 15 I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. [3] He will crush your head, and you will crush his heel. 16 To the woman he said: I will greatly increase your pain in childbearing. With painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, but [4] he will rule over you. 17 To Adam he said: Because you listened to your wife's voice and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, “You shall not eat from it,” the soil is cursed on account of you. You will eat from it with painful labor all the days of your life. 18 Thorns and thistles will spring up from the ground for you, but you will eat the crops of the field. 19 By the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the soil, for out of it you were taken. For you are dust, and to dust you shall return. 20 The man named his wife Eve [5] because she would be the mother of all the living. 21 The Lord God made clothing of animal skins for Adam and for his wife and clothed them. 22 The Lord God said, “Look, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, so that he does not reach out his hand and also take from the Tree of Life and eat and live forever—” 23 the Lord God sent him out from the Garden of Eden to work the soil from which he had been taken. 24 So he drove the man out, and in front of [6] the Garden of Eden he stationed cherubim [7] and a flaming sword, which turned in every direction to guard the way to the Tree of Life. Footnotes Genesis 3:7 The Hebrew word often means belt, but here it apparently is an apron or a loincloth. Genesis 3:8 Literally the wind or breeze of the day, that is, late afternoon or evening Genesis 3:15 In the promises of Genesis and their fulfillment, the translation retains the literal expression seed rather than offspring or descendants to keep the imagery of the Messiah as the Seed of the Woman. Genesis 3:16 Or and Genesis 3:20 Eve means life. Genesis 3:24 Or east of Genesis 3:24 Cherubim are angels who are part of God's honor guard. The translation retains the Hebrew form of the plural because cherubs has a different connotation in English. #top .hr.hr-invisible.av-aocsdx-89cb4ca21532423cf697fc393b6fcee0{ height:10px; } The Holy Bible, Evangelical Heritage Version®, EHV®, © 2019 Wartburg Project, Inc. College basketball coaches on the edge of retirement The Alabama Crimson Tide unleashed a furious 3-point barrage in the first half to bury The Mississippi State Bulldogs before halftime. Alabama Basketball coasted in the second half to a 100-75 win over Mississippi State Basketball. The win keeps Alabama in a tie for second in the SEC with the Arkansas Razorbacks, who Alabama holds the head-to-head tie breaker against. The Crimson Tide (11-4) is two games clear of the group tied for fifth in the SEC at 9-6. Alabama still controls their own destiny for the 2-Seed in the SEC Tournament in Nashville meaning the Crimson Tide would earn the Double Bye and not have to play a game until Friday. Alabama can further solidify that Saturday in Knoxville. The Auburn Tigers are still licking wounds after a 91-79 road loss to the Oklahoma Sooners Tuesday night. She was a 2025 Honoree for the Influential Women in Institutional Investing Awards.  Our conversation traces Larissa's first foray into real estate - how it was a default option rather than an original direction - but how it turned out optimally. We discuss the reasons she was attracted to the industry and the strong "human" component that drives deal success as well as organizational sustainability. We turn then to discuss the seeding business in particular, and how so much more than capital is involved. We discuss today's landscape for emerging managers, how the goal posts have changed and how barriers to entry affect capital raising as well as getting a head start. This podcast is kindly sponsored by Evanston Capital and Alvine Capital. For over 20 years Evanston Capital has had a key focus in identifying early-stage investment managers it believes are capable of generating long-term, value-added returns in complex, innovative strategy areas. How are these abusive teen rehab centers still open? Why are parents still sending their kids there? Can't they be shut down? Maia Szalavitz is an award-winning author and journalist who covers addiction and neuroscience. Her book, Help at Any Cost: How the Troubled-Teen Industry Cons Parents and Hurts Kids, is the first comprehensive look at systemic abuse in “tough love” programs and helped spur Congressional hearings & GAO investigations. In this episode, you'll hear how the abusive teen rehab centers featured in Netflix's The Program & Wayward (think Straight Inc., The Seed, Synanon & wilderness camps) began with tough love doctrine, why you can legally treat kids worse than prisoners, why parents aren't suing & why regulations just don't stick. We also weave in the perspective of struggling parents who feel that the anti-troubled teen industry is hurting their healing efforts.  If you like this episode, you'll also like episode 248: SURVIVING THE TROUBLED TEEN INDUSTRY: SEPARATING IDENTITY FROM EXPERIENCE [REMASTERED] Guest:https://x.com/maiasz https://maiasz.com/ Resources:Boy who was raised as a dog https://a.co/d/0bA3dxmi Pace Center for Girls Pensacola https://www.pacecenter.org/locations/florida/escambia-santa-rosa/ Gulf Coast Kids House https://www.gulfcoastkidshouse.org/ Greenhouse Counseling https://www.ghcpensacola.com/  Host:  https://www.meredithforreal.com/  https://www.instagram.com/meredithforreal/ meredith@meredithforreal.comhttps://www.youtube.com/meredithforreal  https://www.facebook.com/meredithforrealthecuriousintrovert  Sponsors: https://www.jordanharbinger.com/starterpacks/ https://www.historicpensacola.org/about-us/  02:00 — The cult origins: Synanon begins04:00 — “I must have needed that” psychology05:00 — The rattlesnake assassination attempt07:00 — The Seed and brainwashing teens08:00 — Straight Incorporated goes national10:00 — Why parents don't believe abuse reports12:00 — Utah wilderness programs rise13:00 — The death of Aaron Bacon14:00 — Moral panic & religious fear15:00 — Good parents, fatal decisions16:00 — Why regulation keeps failing17:00 — Regulatory capture in Utah20:00 — Unannounced inspections change everything22:00 — Why traumatized kids need gentleness27:00 — Warehouses of neglect28:00 — Should therapy have an FDA?29:00 — Renaming punishment as treatment32:00 — Exhausted parents & marketing fear34:00 — How small power corrupts42:00 — Why lawsuits rarely succeed44:00 — Private right of action explained45:00 — Does awareness help or hurt?46:00 — Educational consultants & kickbacks54:00 — Local resources for struggling families55:00 — Undoing drugs & keeping people aliveRequest to join my private Facebook Group, MFR Curious Insiders https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1BAt3bpwJC/

For much of our lives, performance is measured in speed, strength, and output. As we get older, the equation changes. On this episode of The Dr. Hyman Show, I sit down with Sir David Beckham and Dr. Dawn Mussallem to explore what elite sport, stage IV cancer, and heart transplantation can teach us about prevention—and what it really takes to sustain health over time. Watch the full conversation on YouTube or listen wherever you get your podcasts.
