Beasts to Bring in the Harvest (2) (Audio) David Eells - 3/5/23 Poisoning the Crops David Eells - 8/18/10   In a dream, I saw some large, beautiful strawberries, which I tasted, and they were great. I began to examine one of them and saw inside of it a dead fish in the middle of black-looking mud with trash around it.  I shared this on a broadcast and got some feedback. Philippe said, "I was reflecting on your dream about the strawberry, and I felt that the meaning of the strawberry is indicating the time of the year -- early spring where the poison would make its way into the food chain and start to be in the food and on the market.” (This depopulation effort has been going on for a long time and it's in “overdrive” right now because people are waking up and they can't afford that and still stay in power.) Betty pointed out that some strawberries are genetically altered with fish genes. I don't know if the fish genes will be a problem or not, but I am sure the crops are being poisoned by chemtrails, environmental disasters and GMO's. It will be hard to know when this is in your food, but God has a solution.  Learn to bless your food by faith: {1Ti.4:1} But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons ... [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by them that believe and know the truth. {4} For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it be received with thanksgiving: {5} for it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer. {6} If thou put the brethren in mind of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which thou hast followed [until now].) Also, in this dream, we were in a war and the enemy's weapons were large, plastic tanks with metal straps around them. (These reminded me of some plastic tanks we used at Exxon to store hazardous chemicals. The chemtrail planes are filled with plastic containers that contain hazardous chemicals.) Also, I had a gift to move people out of harm's way. When they stood beside me, we transported to a safe place. I mentioned, "And we don't even have wings". (There could be a gift of translation going on here but, also, when people stand next to me, meaning, stand where I do in regard to the Gospel of preservation, they are taken to a safe place.)  When we abide in Jesus through faith in His promises, we are in the Psalm 91 secret place of the Most High, for He has taken away our curse [Galatians 3:13]. This faith delivers us from the curses of this world.) Earth Shattering Contamination Lana Galchenko - 2/18/23 (David's notes in red) I dreamed that I was looking at a blue sky and out of the corner of my eye I noticed a darkness. I turned around and the sky was absolutely black. For a moment I couldn't believe the possibility of such blackness after seeing the blue. I began to look for the source of blackness and saw a burning tower. It looked like a metal silo, and it was full of crude oil.  A great fire had erupted on top of it and they were using a crane to try and put a lid on it in order to put it out. The lid kept spinning but they were finely able to place it on. For a moment it looked like they succeeded but then the whole thing collapsed and the ground shook as if an earthquake was happening. Many other buildings started to fall as well. (Lana described a tank fire in a tank farm. These tall, metal tanks had floating roofs to keep vapors from collecting which are dangerous. The floating roof had a seal around the outside edge. These would occasionally be hit by lightning and catch fire. I was a part-time industrial fireman for Exxon, and we would use a crane with fire hose to put these fires out. “Putting a lid on it” means that the fire hoses were spreading foam in the top of a tank to cut off the fuel from the air, so the fire goes out. Lana also described a “bleve” which would feel like an earthquake shaking the ground. In a tank fire where the seal is leaking, water put on the fire would go through the seal to the bottom of the tank. The longer you fought the fire, the more the temperature reached down towards the bottom of the tank. This had to be watched carefully. When the temperature reached the water at boiling point, it would multiply it 1600 times as it turned to steam suddenly. This is a tremendous explosion which would blow all the hydrocarbons out of the tank on fire and kill everyone around and could devastate buildings in the area. So, if you haven't put the fire out before the temperature reaches the bottom, the only thing left to do is run as far and as fast as you can.)   A Removing of Things That Can Be Shaken February 18, 2023 Prophet Ken Dewey (David's notes in red) I heard this: “I will remove out of the way things that hinder and offend. I will shake them off their foundations and they will fall down. [This is the great earthquakes that will circle the globe.] I will then open up a great door; effectual, to my ones working, for the many obstacles from before will be removed for a time [This is the short time of relative respite for God's people that president Trump will bring before the saints are made war on by the Beast.], and I then will work a mighty work before the great Day of Judgment which will come upon the earth to try all men. [This is the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord that lasts for one year at the end of the Tribulation. Isa. 34:8] No doubt the things that will shake down can only be removed out of the way by Me, for their force is too great for anyone else to handle. [At this time, the DS Babylonish Beast has embedded itself in all of the earth. I have believed that the Alliance will not be able to finish the job, but the Lord will intercede as He comes in the Man-child reformers who will speak prophetic words for the Lord which will devastate the enemy.] I AM that I AM, and once more I will shake both heaven and the earth and all men will see My reasons coming forth!” [God will get the credit for the fall of Babylon as it was for Pharoah's army at the Red Sea.] Scripture given to me to post here: Hebrews 12:25-29 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh.  For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire.    I have posted this Word as I heard it coming forth. I only speak what I hear and have permission to write. I now look with anticipation of a New Day coming to work and run with great Victory. Time is Running Out Winnie Osegueda - 2/21/23 (David's notes in red) Something interesting happened on the evening of 2/21/23.  Zoé sleep-walked out of her bedroom, which she never does, and when I ushered her back into her room, I noticed that she had an hourglass in her hand and the sand was getting low. (I knew the Lord was saying that time is running out and to redeem the time for the days are evil.) My husband, Chuc, told me to get a verse by faith at random in his Bible and I received, Acts 4:11 He is the stone, which was set at nought of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner. (We are running out of time to be in the Man-child and Bride bodies and when they are manifested, judgment will fall.) (The Alliance has been fighting to remove the DS element resisting their depopulation campaign.) EPA Still Hasn't Studied How Pesticides Disrupt Human Hormones 27 Years After Congress Demanded It By: Nate Seltenrich - 2/27/23 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's failure to implement the Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program, testing of the affect of pesticides used in food production on human hormones, led to a lawsuit filed late last year by a group of nonprofits. In 1996, Congress ordered the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to test all pesticides used on food for endocrine disruption by 1999. The EPA still doesn't do this today. Nor does it appear close to doing so, argue the plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed against the agency in December 2022 for its ongoing failure to implement the Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program. “As of the time of this filing, more than 25 years after the passage of the Food Quality Protection Act, [the] EPA has yet to implement the Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program it created and further, has failed to even initiate endocrine testing for approximately 96% of registered pesticides,” the lawsuit states. (This is clearly their depopulation agenda.) Experts say such screening is vital to protect people's health as endocrine-disrupting chemicals — compounds that can block, mimic or interfere with the proper functioning of hormones — have been linked to a variety of health problems including obesity, diabetes, respiratory issues, some cancers and negative impacts on the nervous, reproductive and immune systems. However, other than a draft white paper updating a single aspect of the program this January — coincidental timing, EPA deputy assistant administrator for pesticide programs Ya-Wei “Jake” Li told Environmental Health News (EHN) — the Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program has appeared dormant since 2015. That year, almost two decades after its inception, the program released its first batch of test results. Among 52 pesticides screened for endocrine-disrupting activities at the time (a tiny fraction of the more than 1,300 pesticides now registered by the EPA), 18 were found to warrant additional testing. But that testing never occurred, and those pesticides are still in use. Li said the January white paper, which proposes two new test methods that don't rely on animal assays, is an important milestone. He also promised, “more to come later this year.” However, other than citing unsuccessful attempts by the Trump administration to defund the Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program, he didn't comment on why it's taken so long to get it off the ground. (Further in this article, not included here, they mentioned that the EPA is still receiving 7.5 million a year for this program that is doing nothing.) “This is a program that's been ignored for 25 years, essentially,” Pegga Mosavi, a lawyer with Washington, D.C. nonprofit Center for Food Safety, told EHN. The Center for Food Safety brought the lawsuit against the EPA with fellow plaintiffs … Rural Coalition, Pesticide Action Network North America, and Center for Environmental Health. “We started looking into it last summer and recognized just how egregious the entire issue was,” Mosavi said. “It's impacting so many people, specifically a lot of people [represented by] our clients. Farmworkers are incredibly vulnerable, since they are the most directly exposed to pesticides via their occupation, but there's also concern of exposure via food and drinking water.”… Eight Alarming Cover-ups and Contradictions in the East Palestine Train Wreck Chemical Nightmare Now Spreading Across Multiple States Monday, February 27, 2023, by: Mike Adams   This article may contain statements that reflect the opinion of the author. (Natural News) When it comes to explaining away the single largest ecological catastrophe in the history of America, the EPA and Ohio officials just can't seem to get their stories straight. Every explanation they offer is a contradiction or cover-up. And they refuse to test for the one thing that poses the greatest health hazard of all: DIOXINS. Dioxins are always created when chlorinated compounds are burned within a certain temperature range. They're also the most deadly chemical compounds known to humankind, and they can be toxic at parts-per-quadrillion concentrations. Put another way, it seems that they cause toxic effects on the human body at concentrations 100,000 times lower than where glyphosate begins to show toxicity. That's just an estimate. The real number may be a million times or more. (Glyphosates are chemicals in pesticides that are sprayed on our food.) Yet the EPA — and Ohio authorities — all refuse to test for dioxins. Or, at least, they refuse to release the test numbers publicly. No doubt they already have their own secret dioxin test results, and they are panicked over those numbers, trying to figure out how to sweep this whole problem under the rug without having to face the reality of an evacuation order that will likely soon be necessary. The entire town of East Palestine may ultimately have to be condemned, razed, and decontaminated. Instead, the EPA is spreading the toxic waste across multiple states. The recent effort to ship over a million gallons of this toxic waste to Texas was thwarted over the weekend, with the EPA now redirecting that toxic waste to Indiana and Ohio, the AP now reports. And then there's the issue of the tens of thousands of farms downwind from this disaster… and the countless families who depend on those farms for their food and livelihoods. If there really were no dioxins to be found, the EPA should have already conducted tests, found nothing and released the “all clear” test results publicly. Why haven't they done that? It's obvious: They're covering up the dioxin contamination nightmare for as long as possible. (So, their depopulation agenda is fulfilled.) Here are just a few of the many contradictions now emerging from the EPA and Ohio government handling of this incident: #1) Why are we told by the EPA that vinyl chloride toxic ignition fallout fumes are perfectly safe to live with, but carbon dioxide — necessary for all plant photosynthesis and rain forest growth — is a deadly “pollutant” that threatens human civilization? Because… “science.” #2) Why are we told that the toxic chemical runoff from the firefighting water sprayed on the chemical fire is so toxic that it has to be injected deep underground so that it won't surface for thousands of years, but also that the land and water where all those chemicals rained down is now perfectly safe and there's nothing to worry about? (They injected poisonous chemicals in the earth and now there is a huge dead zone in the Gulf where nothing lives.) When it falls on your farm, it's “safe.” When it falls on the sidewalk, it's a deadly hazardous waste that must be disposed by an EPA-licensed hazardous waste disposal company. #3) If the Texas-based hazardous waste disposal company Texas Molecular is already licensed to dispose of vinyl chloride, then why didn't the railroad just mop up the vinyl chloride and send it to Texas Molecular instead of setting it on fire, creating millions of gallons of contaminated firefighting water? (To say nothing of going up into the air and covering the earth. Aren't you Christians glad for Psalm 91?) Just think, you would only be dealing with a few hundred thousand gallons of toxins instead of millions of gallons of toxic water (plus the toxic cloud, fallout, etc.). Whatever happened to the idea of “containment?”  #4) Why are both the EPA and Ohio state authorities completely unwilling to test the surrounding farms for dioxins (which are toxic at parts-per-quadrillion exposure concentrations) but they claim everything is safe enough for families, children and pregnant women to return? It won't be long before children are born with birth defects and missing limbs. The EPA already knows this. Maybe they plan to “Tiffany Dover” all the deformed babies or call for post-birth abortions to hide the evidence of their crimes against humanity… #5) Why do people who already left East Palestine and healed from their original exposure start getting sick again when they return to East Palestine? Breitbart.com reports on this, revealing how people who feel better after they leave the area begin to experience horrible symptoms as they return. “Maybe it's something in the air…”  #6) Every decision made by authorities about how to handle the chemicals had the result of SPREADING them, not containing them. You couldn't write a better script on how to spread toxic chemicals across multiple states, running the toxic water to Texas and Indiana, while unleashing a toxic cloud over multiple northeastern states. If containment was the goal, the EPA failed miserably. If only they could contain these toxic molecules as effectively as they contained news about Hunter Biden's laptop… #7) If East Palestine first responders had 1.8 million gallons of water to spray on the fire that officials ignited, then they also had enough water to put out the initial small fires that they claim placed the tanker cars at risk (which led to them emptying those cars and igniting the vinyl chloride). Clearly they had millions of gallons of water available to put out fires. So why didn't they put out the initial fire and stop this entire disaster from the beginning? Which genius came up with the idea, “Hey let's set fire to these chemicals because that will make them go away…” #8) We are told that they had to set fire to the vinyl chloride which had been emptied from the rail tanker cars to prevent the risk of a tanker car explosion causing shrapnel injuries, but if the vinyl chloride was already emptied from the tanker cars, the shrapnel explosion risk was already eliminated. In other words, the moment the tanker cars were emptied of the chemical, they no longer had any justification for starting any fire at all. So why did they do it, then? Likely answer: Somebody ordered them to do it, and they needed a cover story. Straight-up ecological terrorism, disguised as a railroad accident. We're not actually being ruled by idiots, you see. We're being gaslit by terrorists. Also watch for the launch of Dioxins.news and read about EPA corruption and failures at EPA.news. East Palestine Residents Issue List of Demands to Government “demanding action” Following Train Derailment Chemical Catastrophe 3/2/23 by: Ethan Huff   (Natural News) An Ohio nonprofit group called River Valley Organizing has created a list of demands for Norfolk Southern to accommodate locals who were harmed by the disaster. Concerned residents need help relocating, one of the demands reads. Another calls for increased environmental and medical testing and monitoring to ensure that East Palestine and the surrounding region is safe for people and animals. (Related: Some say that East Palestine needs to be continually monitored and tested well into the future for both for dioxins and furans.) River Valley Organizing also wants Norfolk Southern to safely dispose of all toxic waste in the area while covering all the costs associated with cleanup efforts. “We heard the people of East Palestine loud and clear: what they want are safe homes and independent testing,” said Jami Cozy, an RVO organizer and resident of East Palestine. “It is only through coming together and demanding action that we will hold Norfolk Southern accountable and get families and businesses in our community the help they are owed.” Too much taxpayer money going to Ukraine instead of East Palestine For residents that feel they need to temporarily relocate to a hotel or safe house until the chemical scourge has passed, RVO wants Norfolk Southern to foot their bills until life can return to normal. RVO also wants the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to conduct air, soil, and water testing for dioxins, which are among the most dangerous and persistent chemicals in the world. EPA Region 5 Administrator Debra Shore says the agency does not currently test for dioxins because it does not “have baseline information in this area to do a proper test.” The federal Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) must also get involved to “provide ongoing health monitoring” and “guarantee health coverage” for residents, many of whom are reporting headaches and rashes. One such resident told the media that her child became sick after playing in a local park following the derailment. The Ohio Department of Health recently opened a health clinic to help residents get screened for any medical concerns they might have. It is free, and it allows visitors to have their vitals taken and receive a medical evaluation. RVO is also concerned about the disposal of toxic waste from the wreck “in the heritage thermal toxic incinerator” in nearby East Liverpool, which the group says “has already been polluting our communities for years” and “will only further spread the contaminants.” Finally, it is completely unacceptable for any resident of East Palestine or nearby towns to have to pay for all this out of their own pocket. That should be the responsibility of Norfolk Southern, RVO says. “Taxpayers shouldn't foot this bill,” RVO wrote in a post on Facebook. “Norfolk Southern made this mess. They should clean it up.” In order to compile this list of demands, RVO volunteers went door to door in East Palestine asking residents to share their points of view on the matter. RVO also conducted phone canvassing and listened to residents speak at the recent town hall meeting. The EPA reportedly screened 578 homes for reentry as of February 27. The federal agency is continuing to monitor several locations throughout the village. “Compared to EPA National Air Toxics data (NATA 2014), some concentrations in East Palestine (OH) for 9 out of ~50 chemicals EPA reported are higher than ‘normal.' If these levels continue, they may be of health concern (especially acrolein),” tweeted researchers from Texas A&M University on February 24. In the comments, someone joked that too little is being done in East Palestine because the American government is too busy wasting taxpayer dollars “funding Ukraine's quest for power and covering up its corruption.” Coming Famine & Zombie Apocalypse Isaac Payne - 1/11/2023 (David's notes in red) In this dream, I was in the town where I grew up which is Owensboro, Ky. It was nighttime but this night seemed extra dark. Jer. 4:28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and I have not repented, neither will I turn back from it. The night sky was so dark that the darkness had a density to it.  I found myself in an SUV with David Eells and Michael Hare in the front seat driving and I was in the back seat. (Sarah laughed when the Lord told her she would birth the promised Man-child, so he was named Isaac, meaning laughter. So all 3 are typed in dreams as Man-child reformers.) We were driving near Towne Square Mall. (Towne Square Mall has been around many years. It has always had a large turnover of stores inside the mall. The small stores usually always go out of business. I believe Towne Square, in the last few years, has gone out of business as well.)  David, Michael, and I were driving in the night with our vehicle lights cutting through the dense darkness. We were driving North West on Hwy. 2121. (We could represent the first fruits Man-child reformers who will shine the light of the true Gospel in the darkness of the World and its ways represented by the Hwy. 2121.) The meaning of number 21 according to biblestudy.org is that of great wickedness of rebellion and sin. After the children of Israel left Egyptian bondage, they had twenty-one major rebellious events as they wandered the wilderness. The number 13, which symbolizes depravity and sinfulness, and 21 are closely related. What twenty-one symbolizes is an outgrowth of thirteen. Adding thirteen (sinfulness) and eight (symbolizing a new beginning) gives us twenty-one or a number that represents beginning a new level or effort that is sinful and disobedient against God. On the last day of God's seven-day spring festival, day 21 of the month of Nisan, the Eternal carried out his last judgment against the Egyptians. He drowned Pharaoh and his entire army in the Red Sea as they were pursuing the Israelites in order to make them slaves again. The last day of God's annual Fall Feast of Tabernacles, which occurs every year on the twenty-first day of the seventh Hebrew month, pictures the end of Christ's 1,000-year reign on earth. At the end of this period, the devil will also be loosed out of his spiritual prison for a short time. Satan's first task after being freed from prison is to lead people, once again, into war and rebellion against all that is Holy. He will only get so far, however, as God will execute His judgment against the Satanic forces by consuming them in fire (Revelation 20:10). We were headed towards Farm View Dr. Our approximate location was near Goetz Dr. (This name is pronounced “gets”.) (I think this points to Bill Gates [as a play on the name Goetz] and the eugenicist atrocities he has helped commit as the dream will show later.) Also, on the left side of the road, there were many Healthcare services, ATM banks & ATM cryptocurrency, restaurants, insurance agencies, & a retirement home. (I think these types of businesses are predominantly on the left and will be collapsing due to the darkness ahead.  While I was looking at the surrounding businesses, I saw a company called Asmark Institute. Upon research, I found that they are a liaison between the Agriculture sector and the Government and notice also that they are located on Goetz Dr. (It is interesting that Bill Gates now owns more rural farmland and property than anyone else in the US.) In the dream, David, Michael, and I were headed toward Farm View Dr. (I think this represents the farming or agriculture industry and that it is going to take a massive hit. I believe a famine will spread across the world and it seems to be man made. However, we know who controls the hearts of men, our Sovereign Father!) As we were driving, we started seeing zombie people that were walking in the fields and were primarily on the left side. (The walking dead represents people who not only have been vaccinated but also people who will be poisoned by the environmental toxins in the air, food, and water.) The masses of zombies were aimlessly walking in the darkness. I knew in the dream these were the vaccinated. (As we have discussed before, the vaccine takes away any fervency for the Lord and dumbs a person down.) David, Michael, and I continued driving in the middle of the road [avoiding the zombies on both sides] heading Northwest, secure and safe in the SUV with our lights on. Joh 8:12 Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, (Like the walking dead) but shall have the light of life. Then I woke up.    More Manipulation From the Beast Vanessa Weeks - 2/7/23 (David's notes in red) I dreamed that I was in my bedroom and standing in front of my dresser. I was thinking about how almost everyone was wearing masks again because of the fear of a sickness that was spreading. I knew I would not wear the masks and was not afraid. These masks had to be worn with rubber bands to stay on your face. (Barry - This made me think of them tightening down restrictions on the people.) I had visions in the dream of small paper bags, like lunch bags, of rubber bands used for this purpose, and they were all narrow and most were dull colors like gray, and brown. (The lunch bags could represent the connection between needing to wear masks this time around, not because of a virus, but because of environmental contamination which would affect people's food. Since it's been proven that the masks, themselves, are hazardous to your health, we could say that “grey and brown” represents death by the Nazis.)  (Barry - I think this well captures the mood that this put people in before, of fear, resignation, and depression.) (I asked the Lord for a word about the rubber bands and received by faith at random Jer. 31:18 (in context 18-20) 18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus, Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a calf unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art Jehovah my God. (This implies a truth that God uses the wicked to chasten His people.) 19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth. 20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearneth for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith Jehovah.  Also I knew that someone stole Bill Clinton's bag of rubber bands from his residence. These were all wide and green and this sack was on my dresser. (Barry - Could these represent the Green New Deal that these forces are trying to implement globally, or in a widespread way?)  I said I did not want them because of where they had been. Also, I knew that Obama was hanging around in this dream. (As we saw in the 3/1/23 Broadcast, Beasts to Bring in the Harvest (1), Alexander the Great/Obama? will succeed the Trump/Alliance Beast.) I asked the Lord for a word about this dream and received by faith at random Psa. 22:29 with my finger on “cannot keep his soul alive.” (in context 27-19) 27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah; And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. 28 For the kingdom is Jehovah's; And he is the ruler over the nations. 29 All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, Even he that cannot keep his soul alive. (There are many judgments that are being unleashed on the populations of the earth by God through the DS and Tribulation Beasts. Many more terrible judgements prophesied in the Word are on the way. But we must resist the temptation to become fearful for our own lives and for the lives of loved ones that we are praying for. The Word has very encouraging news for the Bride concerning the children of her bereavement! But it's important to remember that we ourselves, as well as, our natural and spiritual children have the promise of sanctification and salvation only if we follow the Lord in faith and sanctification.)   Saving Our Children by Faith David Eells We're told in, (1Co.7:14) For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the brother: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. That means when we're a sanctified believer and believing for them, they're reckoned as clean since God gives us that benefit. We can see this promise again here. (Deu.12:28) Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the eyes of the Lord thy God. (If you observe the words of God, then your children will prosper.) Amen! So there are some conditions put on this promise. And we're also told, (Psa.102:28) The children of thy servants shall continue, And their seed shall be established before thee. Those people who serve God are His servants, not those people who just claim Christianity, but those who serve the Lord. What happens to our children when we don't serve the Lord? We have His warning to us that, (Hos.4:6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children.  This is a threat from the Lord that if we forget Him, He will forget our children. When somebody has enough fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7,4:7,9:10; Psalm 111:10, etc.), they need only a little faith to believe in God, and the Word teaches household salvation as a benefit to the believer. (Act.11:14) Who (that is Peter) shall speak unto thee words, whereby thou shalt be saved, thou and all thy house. (Act.16:31) And they (“They” refers to Paul and Silas.) said, Believe on the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt be saved, thou and thy house.  The children of the Bride corporate body, who are typed in the Scriptures as Zion, or faithful Jerusalem, will come into the Kingdom by multitudes in a great revival. (Isa.60:1) Arise, shine; for thy (This is the Bride.) light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. First the Seed is sown in the heart of the Bride, who can pass it on to her children, and that Seed is what brings forth fruit. The Seed is in the fruit. If a person doesn't have fruit, they don't really have the Seed. (Isa.60:2) For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. (3) And nations shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. (4) Lift up thine eyes round about, and see they all gather themselves together, they come to thee; thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be carried in the arms. (These children represent the physical and spiritual children of the Bride.) Many, many children will come to Zion, which is their true mother and true Biblical leadership underneath the David Man-child ministry, which is, of course, the leader over faithful Jerusalem, Zion the Bride. The Lord has placed the Bride over the rest of the body, and He's placed the Man-child over the Bride. (Isa.60:5) Then thou shalt see and be radiant, and thy heart shall thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea (We're told in Revelation 5:9 and 10:11 that the “sea” is “peoples, nations, tribes, and tongues.”) shall be turned unto thee (This is speaking of a great revival.), the wealth of the nations shall come unto thee. …  (Isa.60:14) And the sons of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee The city of the Lord, The Zion (And again, this is the corporate Bride.) of the Holy One of Israel. There are terrible things coming upon the world, but God is going to use them to cause many people to repent and to fear Him and turn to Him. Amen. God raised up His Man-child Jesus to bring many children to Zion, the Bride, and that's especially seen here.  (Isa.49:7) Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth (As we've learned, this is speaking about Jesus.), to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers… This is Jesus and it's Jesus in the Man-child body. Remember that Jesus said, (Mat.10:40) He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.  We need to understand that no matter who the vessel is that God is using, when God speaks to us or leads us through that person, He holds us accountable to Him. (Isa.49:7) Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of the Lord that is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.  (8) Thus, saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I answered thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages (Yes, they had departed from their land, they had departed from Jerusalem. They had departed and been taken captive.): (9) saying to them that are bound (So they're in captivity but God is about to tell them that they've been set free.), Go forth (You know, God can do that at any time, can't He? He is Sovereign. He turns people over to the tormentors and He turns them loose.); to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture. (10) They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water will he guide them.  And where is He guiding them to? He tells us here. (11) And I will make all my mountains a way (That “way” is for the redeemed to come to Zion.), and my highways shall be exalted. (12) Lo, these shall come from far; and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim. (“Sinim” refers to all the lands of the East.) (13) Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people and will have compassion upon his afflicted.  This is when God's timing has been fulfilled, praise the Lord! (Isa.49:14) But Zion said, the Lord hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me. (15) Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee. (16) Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. These are the walls of Zion the Bride. “Walls” represent “separation,” and here they represent the sanctification that the corporate Bride body will have.  (17) Thy children make haste (Here it is once again. Here is the time when God gives that grace for His people to “Go forth, depart from the darkness.”); thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth from thee. (Those who crucified the Bride from the apostate church will repent or flee, and her children, spiritual and physical, will come to her.) (18) Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the Lord, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all as with an ornament, and gird thyself with them, like a bride. Praise God! There's the Bride and her children.  (Isa.49:19) For, as for thy waste and thy desolate places, and thy land that hath been destroyed, surely now shalt thou be too strait (This is the Hebrew word “yatsar” and it means “be restricted, narrow, scant, cramped.”) for the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away. The road will be too narrow for those who persecuted the Bride and they will separate from her, as we've seen throughout history (Genesis 13:9,25:23; 1 Kings 12; Nehemiah 9:2; etc.) But then … (20) The children of thy bereavement (These are children she lost. They were born and taken into captivity.) shall yet say in thine ears, The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.  In other words, those who return will need grace. It is a narrow way, and it doesn't start out that narrow, but it gets narrower the further we go down it (Matthew 7:13-14). God gives us a little leeway because of where we're coming from, but where we're going to, the way gets narrower and narrower. That's what the Word teaches. [The book Sanctification Before Blessing may be read free at https://www.ubm1.org/books/pdf/SBB as a pdf.]  (Isa.49:21) Then shalt thou say in thy heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering to and fro? and who hath brought up these? (New “children,” who were being prepared in secret among the nations, are now coming to the Bride.) Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they? The Bride didn't know them, but God is preparing these people to be nurtured and fed by the Bride.  When John the Baptist spoke of Jesus, he said, “He that hath the bride is the bridegroom” (John 3:29), meaning those disciples whom Jesus was leading were the Bride of the First fruits at that time. So, the Bride asks, “These, where were they?” and the Lord answers her. (Isa.49:22) Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and set up my ensign to the peoples; and they shall bring thy sons in their bosom, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. (23) And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers (As it was with Joseph {Genesis 39:21- 23; 47:6; etc.}, and as it was with Daniel {Daniel 5:29; 6:1- 23,28; etc.}, the people of the Beast corporate body will humble themselves to take care of these people, even while persecuting the rest. God says it, saints, and it will happen.): they shall bow down to thee with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord; and they that wait for me shall not be put to shame.  Be patient and wait on the Lord. He will do everything He has said. (Isa.49:24) Shall the prey be taken from the mighty (In other words, these people are the “prey” that are taken away from the nations.), or the lawful captives be delivered? They were in captivity because of their sins, and so they were lawfully taken by Satan's emissaries, but the Lord has mercy. The children of the Bride will be set free from captivity to the Beast and Harlot, which was the first message of the Man-child Jesus.  (Isa.61:1) The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; (2) to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor (Jesus stopped reading here and returned the scroll to the attendant {Luke 4:19-20} but this and the rest of the verse is all going to be fulfilled in our day by the Man-child body.), and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; (3) to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.  The Man-child's ministry that's going to go forth is, (2Co.6:17) … Come ye out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, And touch no unclean thing; And I will receive you. The Man-child is coming in right behind the John the Baptist ministry of our day, which is the call to “Repent! Repent!” (Matthew 3:2; Luke 3:8). (Isa.49:25) But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered (Oh praise be to God! Those that have gone into captivity, those that have been in captivity all along, are turning to the Lord and are coming to the Bride.); for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.  (And again, that's both our physical and spiritual children. Oh, praise God! We have a better Covenant based on better promises, and if He saved the children of the Jews who were faithful, He will save the children of the Christians who have been faithful.) (Isa.49:26) And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh (Sadly, some of them will not repent and so they won't come out of bondage. Those people will devour themselves.); and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, the Lord, am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.  Amen. Oh hallelujah! The Bride is typed as Jerusalem, as was told to John (Revelation 21:2,10). She will bear many children of those who are faithful from among the larger Church. (Isa.43:1) But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel (Both “Jacob” and “Israel” are used here as types of the larger Church.): Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine. … (5) Fear not; for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; (6) I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back; bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the end of the earth; (7) every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yea, whom I have made. (8) Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.  Yes, these people have physical eyes and physical ears but they need spiritual eyes and spiritual ears. And when God commands them to be released, when He says, “Give up...Keep not back,” they will come. Praise be to God! When Jesus came on the scene, the elect came out from among the Jews and followed Him. There was a mighty revival that began among the elect, and so it will be in our day. We are heading into the 7-year Tribulation. We should not be deceived; those who do not bear fruit before the end of the Tribulation will be cut-off and fall away.   Father is Seeking Fruit  David Eells In a parable Jesus gave concerning the end of the Jews' covenant, when the fruitful escaped but the apostates went into the wrath in 70 A.D. This is also a type about to be fulfilled in the end of the Church's covenant. (Luk.13:6) And he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon and found none. (7) And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground? (8) And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: (9) and if it bear fruit thenceforth, [well]; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.  The husbandman, the Father, had given three years to the fig tree of His people to bear fruit. According to the Law of First Mention, the number three by itself is first found in the Bible in Genesis 6:10, “And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.” The seed of the saved of all mankind was in these three. They were in the ark of grace, (Gen.6:8) But Noah found favor (grace) in the eyes of the Lord. The next three verses in Genesis 6:11-13 speak of the total corruption of mankind and God warning, “I will destroy them with the earth.”  God said almost the same thing in Jesus' parable after the three years, “cut it down.” However, the Son's intercession gained a fourth year of grace. There is also a First Mention in the New Testament for “three.” (Mat.12:40) For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Notice that God's grace through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus for all mankind, symbolized by the number three, is spoken four times, possibly symbolizing God going the extra mile here.  The Father was disappointed in the lack of fruit on the tree that represents His apostate people and gave command to “cut it down.” The vinedresser, His Son, interceded for one more year's grace, until he could “dig about it,” breaking up its fallow ground through tribulation, “and dung it” through persecution to see “if it bear fruit… but if not, thou shall cut it down.” We should not be deceived; those who do not bear fruit before the end of the Tribulation will be cut-off and fall away.  Notice that the Lord ultimately is only coming for the “fruit” of the spiritual man, not the “fig tree” of the natural man. Our natural life is only the earth in which God has planted the seed of His Son, the Word, so that He bears fruit in us (Mat.13:19-23). Only He that came out of heaven will go back. (Joh.3:13) And no one hath ascended into heaven, but he that descended out of heaven, [even] the Son of man. (Note: “who is in heaven” is usually added here but is not in the ancient manuscripts and has no numeric pattern.)  Bearing fruit is normal for those who walk by faith, but for those who profess Christ while they do not believe His Word to bear fruit, there is destruction. (Jud.1:5) Now I desire to put you in remembrance…that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. Moses also interceded and delayed the cutting down of the fig tree in his day, but some continued in unbelief and murmured, and God overthrew them in their wilderness tribulation (Psa.106:21-26).  Some of you would say that God can't break His promise to bring us into His kingdom. Haven't you read that God disinherits His people who do not believe? (Num.14:11) And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have wrought among them? (12) I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a nation greater and mightier than they.  God swore He would bring them to the Promised Land and then changed His mind because they did not keep their side of the covenant through walking by faith. (30) Surely ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware that I would make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. God revoked His promise and then promised they would fall in the wilderness tribulation. (34)…Ye shall know my alienation (which in Hebrew means the “revoking of my promise”). (35) I, the Lord, have spoken, surely this will I do unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.  The wilderness trials are to prove who the chosen believers are among the called, “for many are called, but few chosen” (Mat.22:14). Because of faith and obedience, or the lack thereof, God can promise evil or good to a people and yet change His mind. (Jer.18:7) At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy it; (8) if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. (9) And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; (10) if they do that which is evil in my sight, that they obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.  Micah prophesied the destruction of Zion, but the people repented and God changed His mind as Jeremiah 26:18-19 says. In Exodus 32:10-14, Moses interceded for Israel on the grounds that God promised the fathers to save their seed, and so God repented. However, when the people continued to turn the grace of God into a license to go their own way, Ezekiel prophesied that even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were there interceding, they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness (Eze.14:14).  We must move quickly now to redeem the time for the race is to bear fruit before our individual or corporate allotted time is up. Paul said that “they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize” (1Co. 9:24). That One is Christ – those in whom Christ lives, and those who live in Him. Paul called this “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col.1:27).  This principle of the race was given to my wife, Mary, many years ago in a dream. She saw us running on a treadmill and up ahead of us was a door that was closing. Then she noticed that the treadmill was deceitfully picking up speed to carry us away from the door. We had to run faster and faster to make progress. This is the way of the world, friend. It is picking up speed departing from God. Mary said that I made it through the door just as it was about to close and then I jerked her through.  Paul went on to say that the only way to win in this race against the clock is to “exerciseth self-control in all things” (1Co. 9:25). He then enforced this by saying, “I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage: lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected” (27). “Rejected” here is from the Greek word for reprobated, meaning “not standing the test.” Paul was saying that even after all his preaching, if he didn't make his body serve the Lord, he would not finish the race and would be reprobated. If it was true of him, then it is true of us.  It's not those who call Jesus Lord and do mighty works, but those who bear the fruit of obedience who shall enter the kingdom. (Mat.7:21) Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  Gifts and powers are wonderful and necessary, but they will not gain for us the kingdom; only 30-, 60-, or 100-fold fruit can do that. They who build their house on the Rock that stands the test of the tribulations of life, hear the Word, and obey it (Mat.7:24-27). The “works of the flesh” are listed in Galatians 5:19-21 and Christians are warned that “they who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” The works of the Spirit are also listed there but they are called “the fruit of the Spirit.” God's works in us through our faith are His fruit in us.   SERVICES Ubbs Outreach Friday Night Worship CONTACT Share Your Testimony Request Prayer Technical Support Questions   SUPPORT US We are a non-profit organisation based in United States. It's Time to Gather into the Ark It's Time to Gather into the Ark (Part 1) Eve Brast - 06/22/2014 (David's notes in red) Father gave me this dream and also gave a confirmation dream to my son Noah on the same night. I had a dream inside a dream. {Gen.41:32} And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh, it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. In this dream, my son Noah and I were standing in front of a large doorway that looked like a drawbridge for a castle. (Jesus is the doorway into the kingdom of Heaven. {Joh.10:9} I am the door; by me (or through the Word) if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture. {Jer.30:21} And their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is he that hath had boldness to approach unto me? saith Jehovah. {Joh.6:44} No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day. (We enter into the ark of safety by abiding in Christ.) The drawbridge was the entrance into a huge ark that had several levels and many rooms or cubicles in it. Noah was standing on my right. (In real life, Noah is 17 years old, which is the number of preservation in time of judgment [like Joseph was when his brothers sold him into bondage]). {Mat.24:37} ... As [were] the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. This ark had been prepared by God Himself for many, many years. It looked very old and rugged on the outside. (Because it represents abiding in the ancient Word of God, Jesus.) (The works of man had nothing to do with this ark.) {1Ki.6:7} And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building. {Ecc.1:9} That which hath been is that which shall be; and that which hath been done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. I heard the voice of the Lord behind us say, "I want you and Noah to call all the members of your family and tell them it is time to gather into the ark. For in seven days, I will send such a rain as has never been seen before upon men. The time has come when no man can work". (The arm of the flesh won't save during the tribulation.) {Act.3:25} Ye are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. (After the seven days of the tribulation, a flood will destroy those who persecuted God's people during the trib.) {Gen.7:4} For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth.... (10) And it came to pass after the seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. {Joh.9:4} We must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. In this dream, it had not rained in so long that all the people on earth did not even know what rain was anymore. {Hos.5:15} I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me earnestly. {6:3} I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me earnestly. {Jer.5:24} Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear Jehovah our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in its season; that preserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. So I asked the Lord, "What will be the sign of these things? What sign will You give me? I fear many won't listen to me or believe Your Words. They don't believe in rain anymore". He said, "Tomorrow I will send a rain that they will believe that I sent you and they will believe your words". (Notice the Lord said that He said He would send "a rain" which would cause them to believe the warnings of a coming flood. This first rain will be the outpouring of the Spirit and revival. Those that receive this will believe that the great flood of judgment will come after seven years/days. The Exodus 4 text gives an example of God dealing with His people in this way:) {Exo.4:1-9} Then Moses said, "What if they will not believe me or listen to what I say? For they may say, 'The LORD has not appeared to you'. The LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?" And he said, "A staff". Then He said, "Throw it on the ground". So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. But the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand and grasp it by its tail" - so he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand "that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you". The LORD furthermore said to him, "Now put your hand into your bosom". So he put his hand into his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous like snow. Then He said, "Put your hand into your bosom again". So he put his hand into his bosom again, and when he took it out of his bosom, behold, it was restored like the rest of his flesh. "If they will not believe you or heed the witness of the first sign, they may believe the witness of the last sign. "But if they will not believe even these two signs or heed what you say, then you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground; and the water which you take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground". (I noticed that the last sign was water poured out on the ground that turned to blood. This is the sign that the unbelieving wicked received in the flood waters of judgment, death.) {8:23} And I will put a division between my people and thy people: by to-morrow shall this sign be. After this, I woke up from the dream inside the dream and found that Noah and I were again standing in front of the drawbridge-like door in front of the ark. I told Noah, "The Lord has commanded us to gather our family members, for the time has come to enter into His ark. (According to type, there were eight saved -- the number of Jesus -- the family of God.) The time has come when no man can work. He is sending a terrible rain upon men, such as has never been seen before". (After the family is gathered into the ark during the trib, the flood will come upon the persecutors of God's people. A lesser flood is about to come upon these people now at the beginning of the trib and a revival will begin.) {Isa.34:8} For Jehovah hath a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion. {9} And the streams of [Edom] shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. If you would like to understand the relationship of the Day of the Lord to the Tribulation, read Hidden Manna for the End Times.) Noah asked me, "How will they believe us? It hasn't rained for thousands of years". (Meaning the sign that would cause them to believe hasn't happened in about 2000 years. This represents the former rain of the Holy Spirit anointing which fell upon those in the upper room at Pentecost.) I said, "Tomorrow God will send a rain so that they will believe our words". (This rain will begin with the anointing of the first-fruits Man-child.) (The timing of this dream is signified by the word "Tomorrow", meaning this dream's fulfillment will start the day before the outpouring and trib, which is when they began to enter the ark for the seven days.) So we went and called all our family members by just calling out to the world because our family members were all over the world. (The called are among all the peoples of the world.) A small handful of people gathered with us in front of the ark, maybe six or seven. (This could represent the seven others of Noah's family or the seven churches in Revelation.) Each one was of a different nationality. The ones I remember and were focused on were three different young people. The first one was a young African woman about 19 years old, the second was a Middle Eastern girl about 10 and then a young Asian boy about five. (Could this be a sequence of revivals from oldest to youngest?) The African girl was dressed in a sheer, light-colored dress, the Middle Eastern girl was dressed in some type of woven loose robe and she had a turban-like headdress. The Asian boy seemed to be wearing light simple clothing, like a tunic. The others were kind of fuzzy in the background. Our family members then said, "You said the Lord would send us a rain as a sign". I replied, "Yes, the Lord told me, 'Tomorrow I will send a rain so they will believe your words'". Immediately after I spoke, it began to rain upon us (it was a small, short rain); after this, we all entered the ark. (The revival will be just enough to bring the first fruits into the ark.) Once we got inside the ark, it was all see-through. We could see through the floor and the ceilings into all the different levels, and we could see through the walls to the outside, too. (Because the ark is spiritual and not physical.) We could see all the people outside who weren't a part of our family. (The Holy Spirit brings discernment of who is in the Kingdom, regardless of what men claim.) They were angry and unbelieving of the message we had announced while calling out to all our family members, to gather into the ark because God made sure that everybody heard the message. (The angry and critical Edomites, though they are fleshly sons of Abraham, will not be of the chosen seed because they have sold their birthright through a root of bitterness, according to Hebrews 12:14-17) But only our family obeyed and gathered to enter into the ark with us. {1Th.5:9} God appointed us not unto wrath, but unto the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. We stood inside the center of the ark watching all the people outside going about their business and murmuring and grumbling. (The murmurers died in the wilderness tribulation and did not enter into the promised land.) They were saying, "What rain? There's no such thing as rain! They're crazy!" {2Th.2:10-12} because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Apparently, only myself and my family had experienced the rain that the Lord had promised. The other people were shaking their heads and waving us off with their arms. {Luk.10:21} I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes. We watched as the people outside the ark pushed old, wooden wheelbarrows around that were full of mud bricks and they were dragging around stubborn mules with ropes that were loaded down with heavy burdens of straw. (Like stubborn mules, they served the old man of Egypt, the flesh, and refused the baptism of his death in the Red Sea.) The people were all skinny and covered with dirt and sweat and wearing mud-stained, sleeveless, tattered tunics or just loin cloths. (They are consumed with the works of the flesh.) Their skin was wrinkled and scorched brown from the sun and lack of rain. (Living under the curse, rather than the Holy Spirit.) They looked all dry and shriveled, like people who were dehydrated. (Not filled with life-giving water.) The earth also was dusty and dry. {Isa.24:6} Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are found guilty: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. During the seven days that we were observing what was going on outside the ark, there was a third group of people who were hazy-looking. It seemed that they alternated between a solid form and a hazy cloudy appearance. (They would fade in and out between faith and double-mindedness.) They would appear clear to me when they had faith and believed our message because they would face the same direction as we were, but then when doubt and unbelief would come, they would turn back toward the door leading back outside and they would fade to a cloudy haze and I couldn't make out the details of their form anymore. (Fading in and out speaks of them being unstable. {Jas.1:6} But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed. {7} For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord; {8} a doubleminded man, unstable in all his ways. These people would come into the ark but then start questioning the rain or doubting their beliefs and they would leave the ark (where the flood of judgment will destroy them). Ultimately, some stayed but others left and were unable to come back in. (Heb.6:4) For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, (5) and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come, (6) and [then] fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. (7) For the land which hath drunk the rain (of the Word) that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receiveth blessing from God: (8) but if it beareth thorns and thistles, it is rejected (Greek: "reprobated") and nigh unto a curse; whose end is to be burned. The young African woman asked me during this time, "Are you sure about this great rain?" And Noah and I both replied, "Yes. Just be patient". And this satisfied her. {Joh.6:39} And this is the will of him that sent me, that of all that which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. (40) For this is the will of my Father, that every one that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (44) No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day. Then, suddenly, no one could come in or go out anymore. (The Lord had closed the door and those who were in stayed in and those that were outside could not come back. {1Co.9:24} Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? Even so run; that ye may attain. {25} And every man that striveth in the games exerciseth self-control in all things. Now they [do it] to receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. {26} I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; so fight I, as not beating the air: {27} but I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage: lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected [reprobated]. This all happened behind us because the door was behind us. This could mean that it has already closed for the first fruits since the door was behind us. I only saw and sensed these things in the Spirit and in visions while observing the things that were going on with the slaves outside the walls of the ark in front of us. Noah and I and our family members never looked back.) {Luk.9:62} But Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Then the sky started to become very dark with rain clouds. Great fear fell on all the slaves outside. They dropped their wheelbarrows and let go of the ropes of their mules and started running around because of the storm clouds that were gathering over their heads. I could hear screams of terror and the cries of the people. Once the clouds reached their darkest point, water poured from the sky in such volume that we had never seen before, so much so that all we could see were sheets of water flowing down the outside walls of the ark. (The water represents the greatest judgment of catastrophes poured out since the flood.) {1Co.15:22} For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. (23) But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits; then they that are Christ's, at his coming. (24) Then [cometh] the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power. (25) For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet. (26) The last enemy that shall be abolished is death. I then had an open vision at this point in the dream, of windy, storm-tossed waters with people drowning and few remaining survivors climbing onto rocks, exhausted by the water, with their forearms up, trying to block the pelting water from their faces. They knew they were all going to die. {Act.3:20} And that he may send the Christ who hath been appointed for you, [even] Jesus: (21) whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all (of God's elect). {Isa.34:8} For the Lord hath a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion. {2Pe.3:10} But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (The great and terrible day/year of the Lord.) {Isa.63:4} For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. (6) And I trod down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth. The end. I was awakened out of this dream (in real life) by my son Noah, who came over to our bedroom and laid down in my husband's spot in our king-sized bed that God recently provided for us to replace our old, queen-sized bed, which we in turn handed down to Elijah and Josiah. (This represents promotion for the first-fruits company.) Noah told me, "Mom, it's raining outside and we won't be able to work at the outdoor flea market today. It's supposed to rain until 1:00". (Father had told me in the dream that "the time has come when no man can work".) I was amazed at this real-life confirmation after my dream. The Lord had told me in the dream that He would send a rain tomorrow so my family members would believe His Word. There was only 10% chance of rain today and it was very unexpected. My son Noah rarely ever comes over to wake me up. (A symbol of the confirmation to come of the outpouring that will convince many of the coming judgment on the wicked.) I later told Noah that I had an awesome dream last night and before I could tell it to him, he said, "Wait! I also had an awesome dream last night!" I said, "Okay, you tell me yours first". (This is only the second time Noah has been given a dream from the Lord, so far.)     Noah's Dream 6/22/14 (Eve's notes in green) I dreamed I was small, about my youngest brother Josiah's age. (8 years. This represents Christ in the Man-child [who is small because this is a small number of people].) I was playing in the woods. {Psa.104:16} The trees of Jehovah are filled with moisture , The cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted; I met a little girl with shoulder-length blonde hair. (The Bride.) We grew up together and then were married. (God raised them up to be the first fruits of His inheritance, His first fruits harvest.) Then I went to visit my real dad, Robert (Man-child caught up to the throne) ("Robert" means "bright shining fame") who had a big beautiful mansion by the beach. {Gen.22:17} that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore. And thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies. My dad told me that he and his wife were moving and that I could have the mansion. (The Bride and Man-child will inherit the Father's mansion prepared for them from the foundation of the world.) In the dream, I was very wealthy because I had received a very large inheritance from somewhere. (Through the faith of the Holy Spirit outpouring: {Mar.11:24} Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever [what an inheritance] ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.) So I bought the mansion and we moved into it. (The blood of Christ and His atonement for us, as well as abiding in Him makes us entitled to all His benefits [including the life and ministry of Jesus]. This is our wealthy inheritance.) After this, my wife and I adopted two children. (The born-again Jews and the Gentiles who make up the true Church in these days. Also, the two witnesses of the end-time tribulation who are the spiritual children of the Man-child and Bride companies.) Then the scene changed. I was riding my mountain bike down the street where I currently live on Callender Road and I looked back and knew somehow that my mom and stepdad (Representing those caught up in the mother church and false prophet leadership?) had lost their property because they were financially broke and had no money, and the mobile homes weren't there anymore. Then I told them they could all come to live with me in the mansion, if they paid for the water and electricity. Then they moved in with me. (If the apostates repent and wash their minds with the water of the Word, then they can receive the power of Christ to inherit all His promises. Inheriting the promises comes with a price of death to self.) Then the scene changed and I was back in the mansion. My mom's uncle Mark (meaning "war-like") and an old man (the old man of the flesh who is always at war with our spirit man) were sitting in a room next to the dining room. I turned and looked out the window and saw what seemed to be my stepdad down on all fours with his head buried in the sand. (False shepherds who are not truly anointed to lead God's people and are beastly in their nature and blind because their head is buried in the sand. The false shepherds only have eyes of lust for the seed of Abraham, who are not theirs; they are thieves and robbers, as Jesus said.) Then I turned to the old man who had a lottery ticket in his hand. (Those who walk in the flesh are great at taking chances with their lives and others) He scratched it off in front of me but he didn't win. He then explained to me how he had been trying to win the lottery his whole life, but had been unsuccessful. (By their own works they attempt to win the inheritance, but it is reserved for those who have given up their old life.) (Our old man is always trying to illegally possess and inherit the land but praise God he will not win, if we hold fast our confession that it waiver not.) {Gal.5:16-21} But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would. But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these : fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. End. (I feel this dream confirms the dream that Father gave me above. Our Father will preserve us and cause us to inherit all His blessings [all His promises] for the coming time of tribulation and economic uncertainty.) (Eve received a text we have received many times about the children of Judah and Israel returning to Zion's authority.) {Jer.31} At that time, saith Jehovah, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people. (God will restore all of spiritual Israel to spiritual Judah and together they will serve the Lord.) Thus saith Jehovah, The people that were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest. Jehovah appeared of old unto me,'saying , Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Again will I build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: again shalt thou be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry. Again shalt thou plant vineyards upon the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy the fruit thereof. For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the hills of Ephraim (they who had rebelled from the house of David and Zion) shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto Jehovah our God. For thus saith Jehovah, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O Jehovah, save thy people, the remnant of Israel. Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall they return hither. They shall come with weeping; and with supplications (repentance) will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way wherein they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first-born. (The second born son of the Church which has received what the first born Israel rejected.) Hear the word of Jehovah, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off; and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd doth his flock. For Jehovah hath ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he. And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow unto the goodness of Jehovah, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith Jehovah. Thus saith Jehovah: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuseth to be comforted for her children, because they are not. (In Matthew, these children were killed when the Dragon leadership sought to devour the Man-child, Jesus, but failed.) Thus saith Jehovah: Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears; for thy work shall be rewarded, saith Jehovah; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope for thy latter end, saith Jehovah; and thy children shall come again to their own border. I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus, Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a calf unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art Jehovah my God. Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth. Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearneth for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith Jehovah. Set thee up waymarks, make thee guide-posts; set thy heart toward the highway, even the way by which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities. How long wilt thou go hither and thither, O thou backsliding daughter? for Jehovah hath created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man. (They will gather around the Man-child ministry of Jesus.) Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity: Jehovah bless thee, O habitation of righteousness, O mountain of holiness. And Judah and all the cities thereof shall dwell therein together, the husbandmen, and they that go about with flocks. For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful (repented) soul have I replenished. Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me. Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast. (The fallen understanding of men and the Beast.) And it shall come to pass that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, saith Jehovah. (The chosen among them will bear fruit.) In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge. But everyone shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge. Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith Jehovah. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more. Thus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar; Jehovah of hosts is his name: If these ordinances depart from before me, saith Jehovah, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. Thus saith Jehovah: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith Jehovah. Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that the city shall be built to Jehovah from the tower of Hananel unto the gate of the corner. And the measuring line shall go out further straight onward unto the hill Gareb, and shall turn about unto Goah. And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto Jehovah; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more forever. Another text we have received many times emphasizes that it is the chosen who return: {Jer.24:1} Jehovah showed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs set before the temple of Jehovah, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon. {2} One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first-ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad. {3} Then said Jehovah unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, that cannot be eaten, they are so bad. {4} And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, {5} Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so will I regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, for good. {6} For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up. {7} And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Jehovah: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God; for they shall return unto me with their whole heart. {8} And as the bad figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad, surely thus saith Jehovah, So will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes (the false leadership), and the residue of (apostate) Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt, {9} I will even give them up to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth for evil; to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them. {10} And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers. The Tribulation Is at the Door It's Time to Gather into the Ark (Part 2) Eve Brast - 06/27/2014 (David's notes in red) This dream is a confirmation to the previous dream called It's Time to Gather into the Ark (Part 1). (The command, "It's time to gather into the ark", Eve, a type of the Bride of the last Adam, received as a type of Noah and his family. Notice the command was given at the beginning of the seven days which represent the 70th week of Daniel, the seven years of tribulation. It will take the seven day/years to get everyone into the ark. {Gen.7:1} And Jehovah said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. {2} Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee seven and seven, the male and his female; and of the beasts that are not clean two, the male and his female: {3} of the birds also of the heavens, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. {4} For yet seven days [Notice that Noah didn't know when the beginning of the seven days was until the beginning and we will not know the day nor the hour until then], and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the ground. [Notice after the seven day/years the flood of wrath came upon the wicked that was far greater than the tribulation.] {5} And Noah did according unto all that Jehovah commanded him.) He also carried over into this dream below the 10-year-old Israeli girl with the turbine headdress that was one of my family members in the ark dream. This connects the two dreams. {Jer.30:1-11} The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying, Thus speaketh Jehovah, the God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. For, lo, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will turn again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith Jehovah; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it. And these are the words that Jehovah spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah. For thus saith Jehovah: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child: wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail (bearing the fruit of "Christ in you the hope of glory"), and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. (Jacob was Israel and represents the Church in tribulation.) And it shall come to pass in that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, that I will break his (the Beast) yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds; and strangers shall no more make him their bondman (they will no longer be ruled over by apostate leaders); but they shall serve Jehovah their God, and David their king (a reformer ministry is coming, Jesus manifested in the David Man-child ministry), whom I will raise up unto them. Therefore fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith Jehovah; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity (to the beastly world); and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to save thee: for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee, but I will not make a full end of thee; but I will correct thee in measure, and will in no wise leave thee unpunished. I dreamed that I was standing in the living room of my father's old mobile home where we currently live. (This represents standing in faith in our mobile tabernacle in the wilderness tribulation.) (We will dwell in the temporary mobile temple or tabernacle of this body for seven more days.) {Lev.23:39-44} Howbeit on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruits of the land, ye shall keep the feast of Jehovah seven days: on the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest. And ye shall take you on the first day the fruit of goodly trees, branches of palm-trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before Jehovah your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto Jehovah seven days in the year: it is a statute for ever throughout your generations; ye shall keep it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths (tabernacles) seven days (the 70th week of Daniel/seven years); all that are home-born in Israel shall dwell in booths; that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt (and into the wilderness tribulation of seven day/years): I am Jehovah your God. And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the set feasts of Jehovah. (On the eighth day they tore down the temporary tabernacle and went to their permanent house or body in Heaven.) I was facing east toward the front room of the mobile home. (This represents having our eyes on the coming of Jesus the Son of God who is the light of the world. Having our eyes continually on His coming in us enables us to come into His likeness so that we can abide in the ark of safety and rest. (The Lord is coming in those who believe the gospel. The epiphaneia comes before the parousia. The first-fruits of which will be the Man-child ministry to lead God's people into the wilderness tribulation. {2Co.3:18} But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.) {Eze.43:1-9} Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east. And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shined with his glory. And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. And the glory of Jehovah came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. And the Spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of Jehovah filled the house. And I heard one speaking unto me out of the house; and a man stood by me. And he said unto me, Son of man, this is the place of my throne (the sanctified body of Christ and individual believer), and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever. And the house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, and by the dead bodies of their kings in their high places (Denominational idolatry with their perceived founders. They claim Wesley, Moody, Luther, etc.); in their setting of their threshold by my threshold, and their door-post beside my door-post (their religious leaders are not God), and there was but the wall between me and them; and they have defiled my holy name by their abominations which they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger. Now let them put away their whoredom, and the dead bodies of their kings, far from me; and I will dwell in the midst of them forever. The sun (representing the Son) was shining through a light-colored thick woven curtain that was hanging from the north-facing living room window to my left. (The sun shines on this curtain in the temporary dwelling place in which we abide.) Suddenly, I was aware of a rumbling sound. (This sounded like an earthquake, not a tornado.) (Just before the tribulation will come a swarm of earthquakes as a sign of the coming of the Lord in His Man-child ministry of Revelation 12. {Rev.8:5} And the angel taketh the censer; and he filled it with the fire of the altar, and cast it upon the earth: and there followed thunders, and voices, and lightnings, and an earthquake. {6} And the seven angels that had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. {7} And the first (trump of tribulation) sounded.. A spiritual worldwide battle against spiritual Jerusalem, as the Dragon sought to devour the Man-child and take the Bride of Jerusalem, will be thwarted. {Isa.29:6} She shall be visited of Jehovah of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with whirlwind and tempest, and the flame of a devouring fire. {7} And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her stronghold, and that distress her, shall be as a dream, a vision of the night. {8} And it shall be as when a hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty (the Dragon failed to devour the Man-child and take the Bride): or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.) But I also looked in the direction toward that window and saw the shadows of the leaves of a very large tree blowing around in the turbulence of great winds. (Earthquake judgment on America.) I thought in the dream, "Nebuchadnezzar's tree!" (This is the tree in Nebuchadnezzar's dream that Daniel gave the interpretation to. [It represented him and his kingdom of Babylon.]) Then the shadows of the leaves of this tree were replaced by the shadow of a large, very tall, tornado pillar that was right outside the window. (The tribulation is at the door!) I went over and pulled the curtain back and everything outside was gray with storm clouds. The tree had disappeared and this thick, very dark, tornado pillar from the north was spinning in its place right outside the window. (Father is sending judgment to Babylon and it will start very soon. This tornado represents the first year of the tribulation.) {Dan.4:10-18} Thus were the visions of my head upon my bed: I saw, and, behold, a tree in the midst of the earth; and the height thereof was great. The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth. The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was food for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the birds of the heavens dwelt in the branches thereof, and all flesh was fed from it. I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and a holy one came down from heaven. He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off its branches, shake off its leaves, and scatter its fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from its branches. Nevertheless leave the stump of its roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven: and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth: let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him. (A time is a year; hence, seven years of madness for the leader of Babylonish America.) The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones; to the intent that the living may know that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the lowest of men. This dream I, king Nebuchadnezzar, have seen; and thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation; but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee. (It went on to say that he ate the grass of the field for the seven times which is the flesh of God's people, for Peter said, "All flesh is as grass".) I then hurried to the east-facing window in the forward-most room of the mobile home. I pulled the string to the evergreen-colored blinds that were on the east window. (This room, in real life, is our study and where I listen to the UBM Bible studies. The desk and computer set under this window and also cause me to face east when sitting at the desk. {2Ti.2:15} Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. {1Th.4:11} and that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your hands, even as we charged you; (We momentarily jump ahead in time to the end of the tribulation.) What is interesting about this window is that my husband, Eddie, boarded over it with a large cork board that he uses to tack up important messages and papers on. (This is as the Eastern Gate of Jerusalem, a type of the Bride, is closed up until the coming of the Messiah after the tribulation.) {Eze.46:1-10} Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days (of man's works); but on the sabbath day (when they enter into rest from their works of flesh) it shall be opened, and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened. And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate without (i.e. the Messiah shall come when they enter the rest by faith in the promises, as in Hebrews 4:3,10), and shall stand by the post of the gate; and the priests shall prepare his burnt-offering and his peace-offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening (the end of the seven days/years). And the people of the land shall worship at the door of that gate before Jehovah on the sabbaths and on the new moons. And the burnt-offering that the prince shall offer unto Jehovah shall be on the sabbath day six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish; and the meal-offering shall be an ephah for the ram, and the meal-offering for the lambs as he is able to give, and a hin of oil to an ephah. And on the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram; they shall be without blemish: and he shall prepare a meal-offering, an ephah for the bullock, and an ephah for the ram, and for the lambs according as he is able, and a hin of oil to an ephah. (Could this offering of beastly flesh be the Armageddon war?) And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of the gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof. But when the people of the land shall come before Jehovah in the appointed feasts, he that entereth by the way of the north gate to worship shall go forth by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth straight before him. (Those who enter will not leave as they came because of the sacrifice of their flesh.) And the prince, when they go in, shall go in the midst of them; and when they go forth, they shall go forth together. (The Bride and Groom will go to the Marriage Supper, which is in the Groom's home after the seven days of the Marriage Feast or tribulation.) As I pulled the string to the evergreen-colored blinds that were on the east window and saw six more very tall tornado pillars, each a little further in the distance than the one before it. (The seven tornados representing the seven years of tribulation.) They were staggered in a zigzag pattern, so that I could see each one clearly. They were very tall and thin-like pillars and reached up into the heavens as far as I could see. {Mat.24:22} ... And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.. (For the elect's sake, the ark will lift off but the rest of the world will feel the wrath of God in the year-long Great and Terrible Day of the Lord, which comes after the seven years, "as were the days of Noah". {Isa.34:8} For Jehovah hath a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.) (These tornados represent the other six years in succession of tribulation judgment to follow the first. They will progressively destroy worldwide Babylon.) The desk and computer in the study were transparent in the dream and the cork board was not over the window (The Bride will be able to see into the future, symbolized by the transparency of the physical, to the time of the coming of the Lord.), so I was able to easily go to the window to look out because I could walk right through the desk and computer. {Eze.46:1-10} Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath day it shall be opened, and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened. And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate; (Those who study to show themselves approved will have eyes to see and ears to hear and will clearly see what is coming ahead because they partake of the spiritual food which is the word of God.) (Now, "no man knoweth the day or hour" of the coming of the Lord now.. But when the trib starts at the first tornado we will be able to count the days until Jesus' coming, for they are counted in Noah's days and Daniel's days and they are the same number. This can be clearly seen in our book, Hidden Manna for the End Times.) The sky also was filled with very dark storm clouds. The tornado pillars were tearing up a huge metropolis of tall buildings and skyscrapers that our mobile home was floating above. (This represents living above the curse, abiding in heavenly places in the ark of Christ. Also, the towers and skyscrapers represent worldwide Babylon.) I looked down toward the base of all these skyscrapers and saw all the people running around down on the streets of the metropolis in confusion and fear. (Confusion is the meaning of Babylon. God will once again confound the language of the world in order to destroy their one world Babylonish order. Not understanding one another, there will be world war. "The things that have been are the things that shall be".) {Gen.11:1-9} And the whole earth was of one language and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Come, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. And they said, Come, let us build us a city, and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven, and let us make us a name; lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And Jehovah came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And Jehovah said, Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is what they begin to do: and now nothing will be withholden from them, which they purpose to do. Come, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So Jehovah scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off building the city. Therefore was the name of it called Babel; because Jehovah did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did Jehovah scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. After I had looked out both these windows, my family members, who were children living in the mobile home with me, were alerted and aware that something bad was happening outside (the ark). "The 10-year old Israeli girl with the turbine headdress" (from my previous dream, It's Time to Gather into the Ark [Part 1]) who had been standing in the living room with me asked, "What's happening?" I said, "Nothing. It has begun. Just pray. I must go pray and intercede". (I said "nothing" because I didn't want to cast down the child's faith and also to encourage her that we were all perfectly safe.) {Heb.10:19-25} Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; and having a great priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water, let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised: and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works; not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh. I then went back to the very back room of the mobile home where my son Noah sleeps. (This represents the least who becomes the greatest.) {Eph.3:8} Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.... There was nothing in his room except his bed in the middle of the room. (The first fruits have learned to rest and abide in Christ through their own wilderness experience before the tribulation begins.) I saw Noah standing at the head of the bed with a game controller in his hand and he was also facing eastward. (Noah represents the Man-child ministers who will be anointed soon with the latter rain anointing. (To rule in the earth and lead the family into the ark of Jesus, the Word.) They will have control and command, just as Jesus the first Man-child had during his ministry. (And Abraham, Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, etc.) He turned and looked at me and grinned. He seemed totally at peace, relaxed and in control. (It seemed to me in the dream that Noah's controller was directing the tornado pillars. Noah's controller is the power of Christ in him as his head.) {Rev.5:9} And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood [men] of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation, {10} and madest them [to be] unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon earth. Who is learning this "new song" who reigns on the earth? The 144,000 Man-child ministry typed here as Noah in control in the tribulation. {14:1} And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on the mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty and four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads. (The Greek for "name" means "nature, character and authority". "On their foreheads" means in their renewed minds.) {2} And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and the voice which I heard [was] as [the voice] of harpers harping with their harps: {3} and they sing as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders: and no man could learn the song save the hundred and forty and four thousand, [even] they that had been purchased out of the earth.) I went and curled up in a loose fetal position on my right side and began to pray and intercede for all those outside. (God's power is made perfect in weakness and the salvation of Christ is all-encompassing and is able to meet all our needs when we become as a little child.) {2Co.12:9} And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. {13:4} for he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth through the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him through the power of God toward you. I had my eyes closed as I was interceding and had a vision of the first tornado (first year of tribulation) as it passed through the living room from north to south. {Jer.4:6} Set up a standard toward Zion: flee for safety, stay not; for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction. But, the tornado became transparent as it touched the mobile home and passed through, causing no damage and without even shaking the mobile home. (The ark of safety, abiding in Jesus, the Word, the secret place of the most High, Psalm 91, preserves the faithful even while it was still on the earth.) I was amazed that I could hear its intensity but could feel none of its physical effects. {Psa.46:5} God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her at the dawn of the morning. (Those who abide in Christ will not be shaken.) End. {Pro.11:4} Riches profit not in the day of wrath (nothing physical can save in tribulation); But righteousness delivereth from death. {5} The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way; But the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. {6} The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them; But the treacherous shall be taken in their own iniquity. {Rom.2:5} but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; {6} who will render to every man according to his works: {7} to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life: {8} but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, [shall be] wrath and indignation, {9} tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that worketh evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek. This morning when I opened my Bible it opened to Hosea and my eyes fell on chapter 12 :1, as I began to read I heard the Spirit say, "This is for your dream". I am including chapter 11 also. {Hos.11} When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt. The more the prophets called them, the more they went from them: they sacrificed unto the Baalim (another Elohim/Jesus), and burned incense to graven images. Yet I taught Ephraim to walk; I took them on my arms; but they knew not that I healed them. I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love; and I was to them as they that lift up the yoke on their jaws; and I laid food before them. They shall not return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian shall be their king, because they refused to return to me. And the sword shall fall upon their cities, and shall consume their bars, and devour them, because of their own counsels. And my people are bent on backsliding from me: though they call them to him that is on high, none at all will exalt him. How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how'shall I cast thee off, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how'shall I set thee as Zeboiim? my heart is turned within me, my compassions are kindled together. I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee; and I will not come in wrath. They shall walk after Jehovah, who will roar like a lion; for he will roar, and the children shall come trembling from the west. They shall come trembling as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will make them to dwell in their houses, saith Jehovah. Ephraim compasseth me about with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit; but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the Holy One. {Hos.12} Ephraim (second-born son of Joseph, a type of Jesus) feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he continually multiplieth lies and desolation; and they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt. Jehovah hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him. In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his manhood he had power with God: yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him at Beth-el, and there he spake with us, even Jehovah, the God of hosts; Jehovah is his memorial name . Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep kindness and justice, and wait for thy God continually. He is a trafficker, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress. And Ephraim said, Surely I am become rich, I have found me wealth: in all my labors they shall find in me no iniquity that were sin. But I am Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt; I will yet again make thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast. I have also spoken unto the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets have I used similitudes (or parables Ezekiel 17:2). Is Gilead iniquity? they are altogether false; in Gilgal they sacrifice bullocks; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the field. And Jacob fled into the field of Aram, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep . And by a prophet Jehovah brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved. Ephraim hath provoked to anger most bitterly: therefore shall his blood be left upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him. {Eze.17:2} Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel....   SERVICES Ubbs Outreach Friday Night Worship CONTACT Share Your Testimony Request Prayer Technical Support Questions   SUPPORT US We are a non-profit organisation based in United States. Title: Hear and Do Text: James 1:22-25 FCF: We often struggle putting our gospel faith into gospel action. Prop: Because it is only those who hear and do the gospel message that are blessed of God, we must believe and live out the gospel. Scripture Intro: ESV [Slide 1] Turn in your bible to James 1. When we experience trials and temptations as God's children, we can expect them to have a redeeming purpose. That God is perfecting our faith in the midst of said trail, is a certainty. But what are some areas of our life that God is targeting? Perhaps our lack of wisdom. Perhaps our view of the world around us is inconsistent with His view? But most dangerously, perhaps it is our lofty view of ourselves. Being self-focused has taken center stage as James exposes areas of lack he sees in his audience. And last week he pointed out that their disputes with each other and with God over their trials, are stemming from their lofty view of themselves. Today, James will continue that theme. He reveals that the gospel of Christ demolishes our pride. It decimates our lofty view of self, so much so that we must humbly submit to obey the Lord when we accurately look into and understand the gospel. It should be no surprise to us that the gospel kills human pride and every temptation to boast. Let's begin reading in verse 22. I'll read from the ESV this week but follow along in the pew bible on page 1360 or in whatever version you prefer. Transition: This is such a huge point in James. I cannot overemphasize this point. We must see what James says in this passage today. To miss this is to miss most of the letter. I beg you to pay close attention today. Even commit to listening to this sermon again sometime this week. What is said today… is perhaps the most important message you will hear this Christmas season. Not because I have something you need to hear – but because God has something you cannot afford to ignore. I.) Because hearing the gospel message without change is foolish, we must believe and live out the gospel. (22-24) a. [Slide 2] 22 – But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, i. The first word of verse 22 is a contrasting conjunction. It forces us to see what he says next in contrast to something he just said. ii. The only question is, in contrast to what? iii. Since he goes on to talk about the Word, it makes sense that the contrasting thought would be what he referenced previously about the word in verse 21. iv. Even then we don't have clarity, because there were two items mentioned about the Word in verse 21. 1. They were to humbly receive the implanted Word 2. The Word is able to save their souls v. Last week I interpreted the reception of the implanted word to be not simply hearing or believing but even cherishing and obeying the gospel. In many ways that interpretation was influenced by where James goes in today's passage. vi. Therefore, I believe the contrasting point that James is making is from the second statement; that the Word is able to save our souls. vii. We commented last week that the gospel – ALONE – is able to save us. That we cannot add anything to the work of Christ to complete our salvation. viii. Therefore, from such a statement his readers might be tempted to believe that having received the gospel means that they have nothing left to do with the gospel of Christ. That all they must do is to passively wait for the gospel to complete its work in them. ix. James counters that with a command. x. Be doers of the gospel and not hearers only. xi. But what is the gospel? What is a doer of the gospel? What is a hearer only? We need to define our terms. And James is going to do just that by way of illustration. But he chooses to start with the hearers only first. xii. But before he does, he cautious his readers with what is at stake should they be a hearer only… b. [Slide 3] Deceiving yourselves. i. James does not mince words when describing someone who is a hearer of the gospel without being a doer of the gospel. ii. To be a hearer only would mean that you are self-deceived. It means that you are delusional. iii. It means you live in fairy land, and an existence of your own imagination. iv. It is no small matter to be a hearer of the gospel only. Thus, a huge theme in the book of James begins to open right before our eyes. v. Do not be deluded. Being a hearer of the gospel only – is of no profit to you. It is useless. It is actually a detriment to him. vi. But why is someone deluded if they are a hearer only? The answer to that question relates directly to what a hearer only actually is. Let's look. c. [Slide 4] 23 – For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. i. James uses a silly illustration to convey the truth about a person who only hears the gospel without doing the gospel. ii. He is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. There are a couple items we need to understand in this short description. iii. First, the word for looking here is translated well in the ESV. The word could actually be translated “consider” or “contemplate.” This is not someone who quickly glances in the mirror. Instead, this is someone who looks intently. He studies what he sees. iv. The second item we need to understand is what the man studies. He is studying his natural face. 1. The semantic range for both these words in the Greek is quite broad. The word for face can mean anything from presence to showing partiality. Probably because the term “face” has so many idiomatic uses. Nevertheless, face is probably the best word. 2. But the other word means birth, existence, or genealogy. From this many translations say “natural.” Which is a good translation as long as we understand what is intended. a. Some interpreters take this as the original intention of God in creating mankind. In other words that of a pure vessel designed to image God. b. However, there are two really good reasons to reject this interpretation. i. James is clearly in the midst of an illustration here. To interpret this word “natural” to mean created purpose, would prematurely break the metaphor. We would be far better suited to look for a meaning of “natural” that fits inside the metaphor. What kind of face would a person see in a mirror that we could call “natural”? ii. A second reason for rejecting this interpretation is because of context. Contextually James is clearly painting a negative picture of this man. To see in the mirror what God intended humans to be and to ignore that would certainly be tragic. But not as tragic as someone seeing who they actually are and ignoring that. More on this as we go forward. c. In our Tik Tok and Instagram world we live in – using no filter would mean not using technology to augment your face to get rid of wrinkles or blemishes. d. This is a far more likely interpretation of the word “natural” within the bounds of this illustration. e. By natural, I believe James means “unaided” or “raw” or “unfiltered.” f. It is the face that you were born with – not one adorned in any way. v. So then, a man who is a hearer of the word without being also a doer of the word is like a man who studies his blemished, raw, unaided face in a mirror. vi. But the description is not quite done. d. [Slide 5] 24 – For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. i. Although it would be tragic to see what God intended us to be from creation and forget that. There is yet a far more tragic thing to happen to someone who sees their true selves in a mirror. ii. After spending all that time looking at himself and studying every single contour of his natural face; after knowing all that is wrong and all the blemishes that exist; after observing all that hair out of place and all that is not right with his appearance; his natural and unhelped appearance… iii. The man goes away from the mirror forgetting what he was like. iv. He forgets or neglects or overlooks his blemishes. He does nothing about them. v. He lives as if – they are not there. vi. This is why we would call this a silly illustration. Because we could truly say of any individual who does this… What a fool! What an idiot! What a slob! vii. Who would do this? No one! No one looks intently in a mirror and does nothing with their appearance! Friends, how many times in your life have you looked in the mirror after just rolling out of bed and said, “Hey… nothing bad about that!” viii. As if by pretending the blemishes do not exist- we can make them magically go away or worse forget they were there in the first place. ix. A person who hears the gospel of Jesus Christ and is not a doer of it – is a person who has been shown, at least in part, the great sin of their hearts next to the holiness of God and has left that revelation and not only does not change – but they forget what they saw! x. Oh, pity the man, woman, boy or girl who is in such a position! e. [Slide 6] Passage Truth: James pivots from his discussion of ridding themselves of wickedness and humbly welcoming the gospel which is able to save their souls. He wants to be sure they understand what he meant by receiving the gospel and what he didn't mean by the gospel being able to save their souls. So, he tells them in no uncertain terms, that to hear the gospel without doing the gospel is to play the fool. f. Passage Application: So, his audience must not stop at hearing the gospel. Quick to listen yes! But not to stop at hearing – for listening is to hear and do. His audience must hear and do the gospel. g. [Slide 7] Broader Biblical Truth: But is this true in the rest of the scriptures? Does the bible as a whole really teach us that hearing the gospel without living it is foolish? Indeed, this is one of the central themes in all of the scriptures. To hear the word of God and to not listen, to not obey, to not change, to not respond – is to spell certain doom upon yourself. God is longsuffering, and He allows many to continue to ignore His word - but eventually God will justly punish those who do not respond to His Word. And His Son is the Word. Jesus' work and teachings on earth is the sum total of the fullest expression of God's revelation to all mankind. So, to hear the teachings of and about Christ, to know the truth of the gospel and to know all that Christ commanded and to not do it – is to be the greatest fool that has ever been. In time past, when God's full revelation was not revealed, we might have less harsh words for the man far removed from Yahweh and His people. But to us now in a world where all but few have heard of Jesus and what He has done – and to us especially in church every Sunday – to not hear and do – what a fool you'd have to be. h. Broader Biblical Application: So, CBC, I implore you by the mercies of God, as He yet withholds His great judgment day – that great and Terrible Day of the Lord – I implore you to look long and hard in the mirror of the word of God. Study your natural face. Know who you are and who God is. But do not leave that revelation unchanged. Do not walk away and forget who you are. Remember, repent, believe, and obey. Transition: [Slide 8(blank)] We know what a man who hears only is like. We know he is a fool. We know he will be judged for his foolishness. But what does a gospel hearer and doer look like? What should he expect from a life of doing the gospel? II.) Because hearing the gospel message and living it is the only path to God's blessing, we must believe and live out the gospel. (25) a. [Slide 9] 25 – But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, i. Here James draws two equals signs for us in the text. ii. First, the perfect law, the law of liberty is the same as the mirror in the opening illustration of the one who is a hearer only. The mirror that the man looked into to behold his natural face is indeed the perfect law of liberty. iii. That leads us to the second equals sign. The Word, the gospel of Christ is the same as the perfect law of liberty. iv. But what do both of these terms mean? What is the gospel and what is the perfect law of liberty and how are they the same? v. [Slide 10] Let's start with a rather basic question, but one that must be answered if we are to proceed here this morning. What is the gospel? vi. [Slide 11] The gospel is the work of Jesus Christ. And that work is recorded beginning in Genesis 1 and is completed in Revelation 22. 1. It is Christ being a second representative for mankind after our first representative (Adam) failed. Christ obeyed God's law perfectly unlike Adam. 2. It is Christ being the sacrificial lamb and scapegoat whereby the sins of His people were expiated or removed to Christ and the wrath of God propitiated or extinguished on Him in the sinner's place. 3. It is Christ promising a future in glory with Him where we will reign with Him forever. 4. It is Christ defeating the forces of darkness and freeing us from slavery to and the family of our former father Satan. 5. The scriptures tell us that He became sin who knew no sin that we might become the righteousness of God. 6. It is a transaction of substitution. 7. In this transaction, the perfect obedience of Christ is transferred to us while our failure is transferred to Christ where it was consumed by God's wrath on the cross. Christ died once for all His people's sin. And one day He will come again to receive the reward for His sufferings – a pure and holy bride. 8. The gospel is Christ being the hope for all who would stop trying in human effort to pursue their greatest desires and instead repent of their sin and trust completely on what Christ has already accomplished. vii. [Slide 12] Therefore, the gospel is also a command. This shouldn't shock us since James says right here that the gospel is a perfect law. viii. It is a command to repent of sin and self-righteousness and believe or trust or depend ONLY on what Christ has done. Not dependance on a confession, profession, creed, set of truths, or even our decision to believe those truths. Instead, it is dependance on Christ alone. That His finished work is the effectual means for you and I to be saved. To the extent that even if God chose not to save you – Christ is still the only thing you can depend on to be saved. There is no other way. ix. This is why John 3:16 is such an amazing verse. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever is believing on Him, will not perish but have everlasting life” You see this verse does not teach us a formula to be saved. Rather it is a promise that those who continue to believe will (in the future) be saved. x. Since the gospel includes the command of repenting of sin and self-reliance and depending on Christ alone – God promising us that those who continue to depend on Christ alone will not perish – is a truly blessed promise. xi. As I John 5:1 tells us, it is only those who continue to believe who are those who have been born of God. xii. And finally, as James is saying here – and included in the perfect law – is that true dependance on Christ includes obedience to all He has commanded. If we love Him – we will keep His commands. And we will obey no matter what the cost. xiii. As Philippians 1:29 tells us, the same people who have been gifted the ability to believe on Christ have also been gifted the privilege of suffering for His name. xiv. And this helps us to transition to the aspect of the gospel being a perfect law of liberty. xv. We are free in Christ. And not just free from sin's punishment since Christ took our place – but we are also free to do what? b. [Slide 13] And perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, i. Now James completes his illustration, painting for us the picture of the doer of the gospel. ii. Being a doer necessitates being a hearer first. We can see this both by logic and by grammar. We are told to be a doer and not a hearer… only. This would leave us to conclude that we must hear first and then be a doer. iii. But a true hearer and doer of the gospel perseveres in looking into the perfect law of liberty. They do not study and then walk away and forget. Rather they continue to see life through the mirror. And what is the consequence of continually seeing life through the gospel of Jesus Christ? iv. It is someone who lives like their sin truly separates them from God who is the giver of life. It is someone who lives like they have nothing good of their own to offer God. It is someone who lives as if Christ and Christ alone is their only hope for a right relationship with God. v. To live out the gospel … my friends… is to be a radically different person than you were born as. No natural man is this way. Every person is born with a love for sin, a hatred of God's law, and a natural assumption that their relationship to God is merely strained and can be fixed by their own efforts. vi. It is to live knowing that in Christ, the law remains in place for us. The difference is that we are now free to keep it. We are no longer slaves to sin and slaves to a will that does not desire righteousness and does not seek God. We are no longer slaves to Satan and to our flesh. vii. Instead, we are free to obey. Free to be slaves to righteousness. Remember, He became sin, who knew no sin that we might become what? The righteousness of God! viii. This is the liberty that the gospel gives to us. A liberty that our natural state did not give to us. ix. The one who looks and perseveres in looking into the gospel and its freedom – will be the one who responds in action and does not forget what the gospel has shown him. And what will that produce? c. [Slide 14He will be blessed in his doing. i. Notice that James does not complete this phrase by saying – He will be saved. ii. Ah to say so here would cross the very thin line of the status good works holds in the gospel message. iii. Only the gospel, the implanted word, the work of Christ alone is able to save us. Our response to it does not save. iv. However, to merely hear and not respond is foolishness and a sure path to eternal judgment and death. v. So, if not responding condemns us, but responding does not save us - what place does responding to the gospel message have? vi. We will be blessed, favored, given power and passion by God Himself in doing the gospel. vii. Our efforts to respond to the gospel and live it out will be empowered and set aflame by God Himself. viii. This word blessed means fortune or happy – and we correlate this word with divine grace. Where God gifts to us of His own freedom without impulse by any outside source – His grace. ix. Meaning then, that it is not our response to the gospel that motivates God's grace. For then it would not be grace. And it would contradict James here who says that we are given grace in the doing of the gospel not after doing it. x. Instead, God's grace is given for us to do the gospel. xi. Do you not see my friends. Even our response to the gospel – even our doing of the gospel must be empowered by the gift of grace from God Himself. xii. My friends – look in the mirror of the law of liberty – you have nothing to bring to the Lord. You are empty handed. xiii. And yet, by His sovereign plan, he has birthed you through Christ's work, He has implanted that work in you and He has enabled you to respond in faith and obedience. xiv. My friends – salvation has never been and will never be about you. xv. Respond to the gospel – but respond knowing that if you succeed in responding – it isn't because of you. But it is because you have been blessed by God. xvi. And if you have been blessed by God to do His gospel – then you will most certainly be blessed by God and received into His Kingdom. d. [Slide 15] Passage Truth: So, James, in contrast to the gospel hearer, describes the doer of the gospel. And the outcome of doing the gospel is to be blessed of God in the doing of the gospel. e. Passage Application: So, his audience must be doers of the gospel and not hearers only. f. [Slide 16] Broader Biblical Truth: But is this true in the rest of scripture? Do we find that those who obey God are blessed in their obedience? The Old Testament serves as one vivid example after another of these exact parallel truths playing out. In fact, God told them that if they kept his law, he would bless them, but if not He would curse them. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, the judges, Samuel, David and many, many more, many who are listed in Hebrews 11, many who believed God and acted in that belief with obedience. They are said to be examples of faith, faith that is counted as righteousness. Faith that is alive and active. g. Broader Biblical Application: So CBC, if we are to be blessed in our obedience, if we are truly saved, we must continue to believe and live out the gospel. We must be doers of the gospel and not hearers only. We must not forget our natural face which the word of God reveals to us. We must continue to see life through the perfect law of liberty. We must cling to the work of Christ and obey all that He has commanded us to be – for now we are free to do so. We must hear and do. Conclusion: So then CBC, what have we learned and how does it impact us in our daily lives? We have learned that hearing the gospel only is a miserable and pitiable place to be. Like a foolish person convincing himself that his bed head and crusties in his eyes don't exist just because he stopped looking in the mirror – to hear the gospel and forget what it showed us about ourselves or God or the world – is foolish. Ultimately it will condemn us to eternal judgment. Hearing the gospel is not enough. Hearing the gospel is not a faith that saves. Hearing the gospel is not an indication that God has implanted it in our hearts, nor that He has given us new birth. Those who are blessed of God – are blessed in their doing of the gospel. In knowing the truth and being set free by it. Not freedom to sin – for the gospel does not afford us freedom to indulge our sinful habits further. Instead, a freedom to be what God has purposed for us to be. His first fruits among His creation. His children. Christ's Bride dressed in pure white robes which are the righteous deeds of His church. My friends if you do not live out the gospel, then you are not alive. So how then shall we live? We must be slaves to righteousness. We must live as though we have nothing to offer God - but that Christ is all we have and all we need. He is our hope. We must depend on Him and love Him to the extent that we obey all He commands. We need to put to death forever the notion that a person can say a prayer confessing the truths of the gospel and this somehow saves them from eternal punishment, whether their lives are changed or not. We need to once and for all silence the false teaching that is an easy belief which requires no lifestyle change or difference from God's people. While we may, in a theoretical sense, come to terms with a death bed conversion and even the temporary fruitlessness of a true child of God – we must recognize that the Word speaks seldom of and discourages such expressions of Christian life. It is clear from all of scripture and especially the New Testament, that the normal and predictable pattern of a truly redeemed person is to hear and do the gospel. To believe is validated by obedience. This is so important for us as we come to this holiday season. We will all see family and friends who have prayed a prayer, who have made a confession, who know and perhaps to some degree still believe the truths of the gospel. Nevertheless, they are living in active sin, knowingly disobeying the Lord. Or perhaps they are actively trying to earn their own salvation by adhering to some traditional or ritualistic standard rather than depending on Christ alone. Or perhaps they are depending on something they have already done, a prayer they've said, or a confession they've made, or baptism, or other various actions they did to save themselves. Now we can continue to pretend that these folks are true believers. We can massage our aching hearts with the hope that their confession is genuine. We can wink at the words of James and hope for better things. But to do so would be an act of hate against your family and friends. To know that their confession is empty – that they are foolish and headed for condemnation and to pretend as though they aren't? What could we call such an attitude but hate? It would be far better to first admit in our own minds and hearts that the scriptures are true and that those who posses confession without obedience are not God's children. Only then can we pray and minister to them effectively. Only then can we truly love them enough to tell them the truth about the sorry state of their souls. But to turn all this application to an even sharper point. My friends… how about you? Perhaps you are one of those who has been a hearer but not a doer. You have looked long in the mirror of the Word and found your sin and the holiness of God. Yet you have not acted upon the gospel of Jesus Christ. You have walked away from what you've seen and refuse to look again – hoping to forget what horrified your soul. Today, my friends, you have heard the gospel again. That Christ is the only way to peace with God. That He has been prophesied from the beginning to make a wretched person like you and me – into sons and daughters. Into royalty. Into priests. My friends – whether you have never heard the gospel before and have only just heard it today, or whether you have heard the gospel for the thousandth time but have never lived it out – Let today be the day it changes you. Respond to the gospel call. Repent of your sin and self-righteous efforts to please God and depend on Christ and Christ alone for your salvation. Submit to His lordship over your life. And walk in newness. Endure in seeing the world through the lens of the perfect law of liberty! Do not delay – even now under the sound of my voice you can cry out to Him in repentance and faith. You can obey the gospel and depend only on Christ. You can begin a life of obedience today, trusting in Christ alone to save your soul. Do not pretend any longer. Do not forget what you saw in the mirror. Do not pretend that the blemishes aren't there. No! Know they are there and know that Christ has no blemish. He was the spotless Savior who took your place! Believe on Him and Live for Him.

Title: Altogether Reliable Text: II Peter 1:16-21 FCF: We often struggle accepting and believing the word given to us. Prop: Because God's truth is confirmed by 2 witnesses, we must cling to the Word until Christ appears in power. Scripture Intro: [Slide 1] Turn in your bible to II Peter chapter 1. Last week, Peter began to transition his readers from his introductory words about God's work in preserving His people to obtain a rich entry into the coming Kingdom, to, as we'll see today, the surety of that Kingdom and Christ's coming in power. This represents the body of the letter. Peter is preparing his readers for attacks on the truth of Christ's return and wants to ensure them that what he's revealed to them previously is certain. He does so forcefully today – providing a powerful and doctrinally RICH close to this first chapter. I'll begin reading in verse 16. I am reading from the NET which you can follow in the pew bible on page 1369 or in whatever version you have in front of you. Transition: Doctrine of supreme importance awaits us in this text. Let's not waste any time. I.) Because we have eyewitness accounts of Christ's power, we must cling to the Word until He appears in power. (16-18) a. [Slide 2] 16 – For i. Why should Peter's audience listen to him? ii. He just said that he is reminding them of all they know and are doing. Why should they continue to listen to him? iii. Why should they listen to him about this glorious excellence that all God's people are called to? iv. Why should they listen to him when he speaks of sharing in the divine nature? v. Why should they listen to him when he talks about God's power giving all they need for a godly life coming to them through the knowledge of Christ? b. [Slide 3] We did not follow cleverly concocted fables when we made known to you the power and return of our Lord Jesus Christ; i. It is not difficult to understand what Peter means by this statement. ii. Our faith is not based on a bunch of myths and legends that deified Christ. iii. What is more difficult is understanding the backdrop for this statement. iv. Do the false teachers that Peter predicts later rely on myths and fables? Do they accuse the apostles of doing so? v. What we do know for certain, is that within Roman paganism and emperor worship, much of the gods that were worshipped including previous Roman rulers were deified by their “miraculous” deeds. vi. Stories were passed down about individuals doing amazing things, being blessed by the gods, and eventually being accepted into the pantheon for worship. vii. Interestingly enough, no one really accepted these stories as truth. They were really meant to teach a moral or point someone toward a certain kind of living. viii. It would have been easy for enemies of the gospel to have done something similar with Jesus, claiming that his death earned some kind of place among the gods. ix. Was He atoning for sin? Probably not. Will He return to take us away? No. It is just a story. x. But Peter categorically denies such assumptions without qualification or exception. xi. The stories and history that the apostles made known to the church, and that Peter made known to His audience, the accounts of Jesus' coming in power– did not originate in fantastical stories that developed over time to become legends. xii. They did not sit down at a bonfire and listen to Jesus or someone else tell the great fables of His power and godhood. c. [Slide 4] No, we were eyewitnesses of His grandeur i. Peter says – I saw it with my own eyes. ii. All of us did. iii. All of us saw His grandeur. iv. Grandeur here could be translated majesty or magnificence. v. We saw with our own eyes the evidence that He was more than merely a man. vi. We saw him eat, we saw him bleed, we saw him sweat – we know he was human. But He was not merely human. vii. But to what event specifically is Peter referring? d. [Slide 5] 17 – For He received honor and glory from God the Father, when that voice was conveyed to Him by the Majestic Glory: “This is my dear Son, in whom I am delighted.” 18 – When this voice was conveyed from heaven, we ourselves heard it, for we were with Him on the holy mountain. i. Although not all the details from Matthew are recorded the same here in II Peter, we have enough in common to conclude that Peter references the Transfiguration on top of Mount Hermon. ii. In the passage leading up to this, Jesus talks with His disciples about denying self, taking up their cross and following after Him. He says that if they wish to find their life, they must lose it for His sake. He says that if they gain the whole world but lose their soul it is of no profit to them. Because the Son of Man will come in glory and power with his angels and reward everyone for what they have done. iii. This sounds… a lot like what Peter was just saying doesn't it? iv. Make every effort to add these virtues to your faith. Make every effort to confirm your calling and election so that you will never stumble but entry to the kingdom will be richly provided for you? v. Then Jesus says – Truly I tell you there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom. vi. Then the chapter ends and with it our brains shut off. But the next chapter starts with - “after six days” vii. Matthew clearly connects the prophesy of Christ's coming in His Kingdom to the events that follow. viii. What events follow? ix. In Matthew 17:1-8 Christ's inner circle of Peter, James, and John join him on top of Mount Hermon. Mount Hermon was located in a place known for its pagan worship. In fact, at its base was the “gates of hell”, a mythological entrance into the underworld. x. Pagan deities and demons had been worshiped in this place for millennia. xi. And on that mountain, Peter, James and John witnessed the Son of Man come in His Kingdom. xii. Christ in their very presence tears the fabric of this world and the Spiritual world and displays His full glory. He stands with Elijah and Moses as a precursor to the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord – when He shall come again in power and glory. xiii. He just predicted that this would be, and then he shows Peter James and John the trailer for the movie. xiv. But why? Why does Jesus do this? xv. Might I suggest to you that this is first to confirm that He was, at that very moment, able to come in power and glory. xvi. But after God the Father speaks, his glory is hidden again and Elijah and Moses are gone. xvii. What does that mean? It means 2 things. 1. He can and will fulfill the promise of His future coming in power. Because He just did. He can do it again. But… 2. It was not yet time to do that. He had a mission to complete that preceded His coming in power. 3. Interestingly enough, when they got down the mountain, Jesus once again told them that he would be put to death and on the third day raised again. xviii. So, coming back to II Peter – what is Peter using this event for? xix. Peter now uses this experience as the authority and assurance of Christ's future coming in power. Why? xx. Christ came in power on Mount Hermon, on the mythological doorstep of the underworld. xxi. How did Peter's eyewitness account differ from fables? Christ came and stood on top of cleverly concocted fables, lies of demons, and brought His true and glorious Kingdom down on top of it. xxii. And Peter saw it with his own eyes. xxiii. That is why Peter feels comfortable continuing to remind his audience about God's power to get them from pre-ordination to glory. xxiv. Because He has seen the glory of Christ shown brightly in the darkest place on earth. xxv. And if He could do that BEFORE he was crucified and raised again to life and ascended into glory! Then surely, He can do that again and in a much greater way now that He has been given a name above every name and has put all powers under His feet. e. [Slide 6] Passage Truth: So, in these first few verses Peter reminds his audience that his teaching in general, but specifically his teaching on the future coming of Christ in power, is completely trustworthy since it is based on eyewitness accounts and not on made up fables. f. [Slide 7] Passage Application: Although he hasn't quite gotten to the application yet, it is abundantly clear. They need to trust what he has said and will continue to say regarding the coming of Christ. True, this hasn't been the main topic of discussion through the book thus far, but it certainly wasn't absent. And now he will turn to proving it in the next two chapters. So, they had better listen intently and trust completely what he is going to teach them. g. [Slide 8] Broader Biblical Truth: Zooming out for a more systematic look of scripture we see that all of our New Testament books are either directly from eyewitnesses of the events and teachings of Christ or, like in Luke's case, collected eyewitness accounts. In fact, this was a mark of canonicity for our scriptures. They had to be written by or rely heavily on the eyewitness accounts of those who actually saw the risen Christ and were taught by Him. Every book that has been received in the New Testament canon except for Hebrews has this status. And Hebrews is written in such authority and exquisite interpretation of the Old Testament – that we might assume that one of the apostles wrote it without claiming that they had. The fact that they experienced all that Jesus said, did, and all the miracles, the resurrection, the ascension, and yes even the transfiguration – all of this gives heavy weight to the testimony of the apostles. It is not one man claiming some fantastical thing. Rather it is several men seeing, feeling, hearing, tasting, and smelling the power and glory of God, every day for three years. h. [Slide 9] Broader Biblical Application: So for us CBC, it increases our trust not only that the biblical writers are correct in the future surety of the coming of Christ in Power – but also the assurance that we have the very words of Christ transmitted down through time to us. We can confidently trust those who were eyewitnesses to the glory and power of Jesus. Transition: [Slide 10] But it is not just that we have eyewitness accounts. As we know, sometimes our eyes cannot be trusted. Sometimes our senses play tricks on us. Who's ever been to a house of mirrors right? In fact, magic or slight of hand succeeds basically because our senses are tricked. Is it possible that the apostles suffered from mass hysteria? Were they all duped? No. It is not possible. Why? Their eyewitness accounts are only one testimony of two. II.) Because the God-given Word has predicted Christ's return in power, we must cling to the Word until He appears in power. (19-21) a. [Slide 11] 19 – Moreover, we possess the prophetic word i. Peter's eyewitness account and experience is not the only thing that all of Christendom possesses to verify that Jesus is this powerful, magnificent, and returning Lord. ii. We, meaning all Christianity, possess the prophetic word. iii. The Scriptures are what Peter is referencing here. iv. We might be tempted to conclude that since he mentioned Prophesy that he only means the Prophetic books. v. However, what is clear is that he means every single piece of scripture that speaks forward to the coming of the Messiah of God to save His people from their sin and establish a New Kingdom in glory with them. vi. Those prophesies are laced to literally every book of the Old Testament. I won't say every page or every chapter – but certainly every single book has some reference, allusion, or blunt prophesy of the coming Messiah. vii. Therefore, Peter is using synecdoche here. He is referencing a particular part of the Old Testament to refer to the entirety of it. viii. New Testament writers do this when they say “The Law” or “The Law and the Prophets” – many times when they say these smaller parts they mean the entire Old Testament. ix. Peter's view of the powerful future coming of Christ in glory is not simply based on his own eyewitness account. Although that would be reliable in and of itself. x. But the whole of scripture speaks to His power and future coming in glory. xi. Why does that matter that all of scripture speaks to this truth? b. [Slide 12] As an altogether reliable thing. i. By Peter's statement that the prophetic word is altogether reliable, he indicates that the words of the Old Testament are truly and completely reliable words. They are without error, and the reason they are without error, is because they were given by God. ii. He has already said that they did not receive myths and cleverly concocted fables – but instead they were eyewitnesses to Christ's glory and possessed the inerrant words of the Old Testament Scriptures. iii. The phrase “altogether reliable” draws a comparative force here meaning that the Old Testament prophesies, though always without error and given by God, are now proven or vindicated all the more because of the eyewitness accounts of the apostles. iv. Peter has seen the Scriptures fulfilled. That means that even though they always were God's inspired and inerrant word, full of authority, they are now all the more reliable in their fulfillment. v. The one thing we need to highlight here is what Peter says about the Old Testament Scriptures and thus all Scripture. vi. [Slide 13] In reference to our doctrine of the bible or bibliology there are several key points of teaching that Peter hits on in these last 3 verses. 1. Inspiration 2. Inerrancy 3. Perspicuity 4. Sufficiency vii. Unfortunately, we do not have the time this morning to unpack each of these to their fullest degree. However, in a few moments as we apply what we've learned from this text, we will unpack these teachings briefly and see how they impact our daily lives. viii. But for now, Peter says something that ought to make us all snap to attention. c. [Slide 14] You do well if you pay attention to this i. He wants us to stop and consider the importance of the prophetic word. ii. But he wants to draw us a word picture to demonstrate how important it should be to us. iii. We need to pay attention to the prophetic word and the fact that it is altogether reliable … d. [Slide 15] As you would to a light shining in a murky place, i. Imagine with me that you are in a place of absolute darkness. ii. Have you ever been in true darkness; darkness where you cannot see your hand wave in front of your face? iii. Now imagine that it is not only this dark, but it is also dingy. Smelly. Slimy. Putrid. Dry. Parched. Where the smell of death hangs in the air and you can feel the filth creeping all around you. iv. This word for murky means darkness but it also means all of these words. It conveys not just darkness but filth and poverty. As if you were sealed up in a crypt. v. How would you react to a light suddenly appearing in your filthy darkness? vi. Would you not rush to its rays? Would you not cry out for help to emerge from where you were? Would you not trust whoever bore the light to get you out of where you were? Would you not trust the light bearer to take you from your place of darkness? vii. Such are the rays of light given by the absolutely reliable word of the Living God. viii. This is how you should pay attention to the prophetic word … you should receive it with eagerness, gladness, and trust. But how long must you do this? e. [Slide 16] Until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. i. The night is often an Old Testament allusion to the world in which we live. ii. The dawn is, then, an allusion to the coming day of the Lord where God invades His own creation and puts down forever the forces of darkness and reclaims all that is His. iii. He then will make all things new. iv. The expression morning star has clear roots referencing Christ, since he was the star that will rise out of Judah in Numbers 24. v. Putting these images of dawn and Christ being the rising star in the morning of that dawn, the point Peter is making is that when Christ does return and the day of the Lord does happen, God's people will no longer have to trust the prophetic word or the apostle's eyewitness accounts because they will see it for themselves… vi. In their hearts. vii. This does not mean that Peter is refuting a literal physical return of Christ. In fact, Peter will talk about that soon enough. viii. Peter's point is not to prove the coming of Christ – at least not yet. ix. His point is the reliability of His words and the words of all other Scripture. x. Meaning that his emphasis is that their trust will be affirmed when Christ returns. They will see Him in a way that they were only able to perceive by faith before. xi. And once we see Him clearly, once the day dawns, we no longer need to rely on the lamp light. We have the sun to guide us. f. [Slide 17] 20 – Above all, you do well if you recognize this: i. Peter says that his audience would do well if they paid attention to the reliable prophetic words of the Scriptures regarding Christ's coming in power and glory and they should do this until he fulfills what they have prophesied. ii. But first, and above all, they would do well to recognize. iii. Or to know something. iv. They would do well to receive a truth first, before they even pay attention to that prophetic word. v. So, what must they know first? g. [Slide 18] No prophesy of scripture ever comes about by the prophet's own imagination. i. The thing that his audience would do well to know first, is WHY the Scriptures are reliable. ii. Many translations have “interpretation” as the last word in this verse. “No prophesy of scripture ever comes about by the prophet's own INTERPRETATION” So we need to ask why the NET translates this imagination. iii. The NET gives us a clue that there is some disagreement over what Peter is saying. iv. The disagreement comes down to whether or not Peter is talking about the origin of the prophesy or the explanation of the prophesy. v. I won't dive too deeply here. We are getting close to the end of the sermon so I don't want to get too technical. You can come on Wednesday night and ask for all the ins and outs – but for me the meaning that seems best is explanation. vi. There is probably a comparison happening here between the pagan religions of the day, the false teachers that are coming, and the way God's prophets received truth from God. vii. In pagan culture, the oracles would consult a writing, event, dream, or vision. They were always unclear. So, the oracle would then interpret the dream and give a prophesy. viii. The false teachers in Peter's time are beginning to question the prophesies of the Old Testament as having been interpreted conveniently by the apostles to force Jesus's coming in power into a still future event. ix. Their reasoning is that like the pagans, the oracle is delivering an interpretation of their own making rather than one that conforms to the actual prophesy. x. But what does Peter say? xi. No. No prophesy of Scripture has ever come about or came into being because a prophet made his own interpretation of what God gave. xii. Instead, Peter says here that the interpretation DID NOT COME FROM MEN. xiii. Now over church history Roman Catholics and even Liberal Christians with Postmodern views, have taken this text to mean that it is not possible to arrive at the one meaning of scripture on your own. 1. From a Roman Catholic perspective, Vatican II says that “the task of interpreting scripture rightly has fallen ONLY to the teaching office of the church.” In other words, not one single Christian can interpret the scriptures accurately. Instead, they must rely on the Church tradition, with creeds and councils and the teaching office (pope, bishop, priests) to understand the scriptures' meaning. 2. From a postmodern perspective, there IS no one interpretation of scripture and therefore you cannot arrive at that one interpretation because there are many interpretations based on the reader. xiv. Both of these views, although using this text, actually violate what Peter is saying here. xv. Scripture's meaning is not of human origin. xvi. That is not to say that people cannot err in interpreting the Word of God. They can. xvii. But the true meaning of Scripture does not come from man's mind. xviii. The Roman Catholic perspective is closer to the truth, but still elevates human interpretation to the same authority as the scriptures, even though over the history of the Catholic church that interpretation has changed several times. xix. In truth, we must confess with the reformers that the FINAL authority for a believer is Scripture, and thus the FINAL interpretive authority of Scripture… is Scripture. xx. But why can Peter say that the interpretation or meaning of scripture does not come from men? h. [Slide 19] 21 – For no prophesy was ever borne of human impulse; i. Scripture's meaning cannot come from men, because Scripture does not come from men. ii. No Scripture ever came about by a man sitting down to write it of his own will. iii. Even the words Peter is writing now, he did not sit down of his own will to write them. iv. He did not desire to write them and it did not originate from him. v. So, in this text we have both the origin and the interpretation of scripture being located from a source that is completely OUTSIDE of man. vi. If man neither creates nor assigns meaning to the Scripture… where does it come from? i. [Slide 20] Rather, men carried along by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. i. The verb to be carried along refers to guidance. It is to bear, to bring, to carry, or to produce. ii. God's Spirit, the Spirit of truth, the Spirit of Christ, provided the impulse for the biblical author to sit and write and provided the content, breathing out the very words God desired to be said. iii. To the extent that when a prophet speaks, to ignore would be to ignore God Himself. Regardless of whether a prophet said “Thus says the Lord” they were always saying what the Lord said. For they were carried or guided along by the Spirit of God to say exactly what God desired them to say. iv. And to that end, the interpretations the apostles have provided of the Old Testament are also the Spirit guided interpretations of the scriptures. Where they interpret them, they rightly ascribe the meaning of the text of the Old Testament. j. [Slide 21] Passage Truth: So, Peter reminds his audience that his teaching on the future coming of the Lord in power is a trustworthy teaching. It is trustworthy because it is a fulfillment of what the God-breathed, inerrant, clear, sufficient, and authoritative Scriptures have already revealed. k. [Slide 22] Passage Application: Therefore, as Peter says, they would do well to pay attention to the scriptures that they know are God given, even down to their meaning. l. [Slide 23] Broader Biblical Truth: We will spend a good chunk of time exploring this more fully in just a moment but it is enough for us to realize that the scripture as a whole reveals about itself that it is From God, without error, Having one clear meaning, Is sufficient for our lives, and is thus our final authority in all matters of faith, life, and practice. We can resoundingly say – Sola Scriptura. For this is what Peter says. m. [Slide 24] Broader Biblical Application: Therefore, CBC, with the scriptures being our final authority – we must come to them not as if we determine what they mean, not as if they were purely human made, and not as if we can never understand them. Rather we approach as if they are the very words of God, without error, possessing one clear meaning that we can and must labor with the Spirit to uncover, sufficient for all of faith and practice, and thus are authoritative over our lives. We must come to the mirror of the Word and not judge the word, but have the Word of God judge us. Conclusion: [Slide 25(blank)] I want to spend some additional time this morning discussing what we believe about the Scriptures. Don't worry, I don't plan to make this into some long theology class with lots of big words. I don't plan to dive deep into all the false teachings on these things. We'll talk a little about what we don't believe to help explain what we do – but we won't be naming all the various perspectives that exist. Today I just want to answer, what do we believe about the Scriptures. God's Word. [Slide 26] 1.) First, we believe in the verbal, plenary (whole or complete) inspiration of the Scriptures. This means that we believe the Holy Spirit, through the personality and style of the human author, breathed out upon their minds the exact words that God wished to give to His people. We must state that this applies only to the original autographs. It does not apply to the copies or translations. That is not to say that what we have with our English bibles is NOT the verbally inspired word of God. But we would say that in all these copies and translations God has preserved His original message down to the very words. Which is exactly what we would believe about Preservation. [Slide 27] 2.) Second, God has graciously and providentially preserved all of His word for us and will continue to do so until all is fulfilled. God promises this to us in many places in scripture. We must be sure though that we do not err in how we apply this. He has not done this in a single copy or translation. Instead, more miraculously and more securely, he has preserved every single word He ever gave in the various copies and translations of the text. [Slide 28] 3.) Third, we believe in the inerrancy of scripture. Because we believe in the inspiration of the Scriptures, this is not only a logical assertion but also one that the bible says about itself. God's Word is truth. When God says something that seems to be in error, no matter what the topic, be it science, math, history, or doctrine – we must accept that we are the ones who need to shift – since the scriptures are without error. Again, this applies to the original autographs only. Copies can contain errors. Translations too. This is not to say that the word of God must be precise. When the scriptures speak of science, there is no need for them to be technically scientifically accurate. Rounding numbers up or down is not an error. Neither is using figurative language or not including all the details of a narrative. These are not errors. But, the Scriptures NEVER tell us something is true when it isn't or false when it is true. Why? Because they are God's Words. And God is truth. [Slide 29] 4.) Fourth, we believe in the perspicuity (clarity) of scripture. We believe that God giving us His Word and being all powerful means that He desires that we understand what He says. This means that God has one meaning that He intends as He writes His Words to us. That doesn't mean there are not layers or double meanings, but that all meanings are intended by God and clearly given in the total counsel of the Word of God. This doesn't mean that there are not difficult passages to understand. This doesn't mean that every single person on earth can understand the Scriptures. Rather, this means that God has intended a meaning and from all of scripture He can and does show that meaning to His people. His Word is not far from us. [Slide 30] “The Holy Spirit …has generously and advantageously planned Holy Scripture in such a way that in the easer passages He relieves our hunger; in the more obscure He drives away our pride. Practically nothing is dug out from those obscure texts which is not discovered to be said very plainly in another place. “ Augustine of Hippo The light of the scripture is bright enough to reveal all its truths to us. We are the problem. We have mud on our eyes. If we cannot understand – it is not because the sun isn't bright enough – it is because our eyes are caked with mud. This is the proper place of church tradition and traditional interpretation. Like I just did quoting Augustine, we can go back and see how the church has interpreted the scriptures. These traditions do not act as another authority, but they do help us to get past our 21st century western eyes to see the scriptures true meaning. This also validates ongoing extra biblical works to help explain scripture. But they are always subservient to scripture. Which leads us to… [Slide 31] 5.) Fifth and finally, we believe that the Scriptures are sufficient. We believe that in the scriptures God has given us all we need. That doesn't mean the bible speaks on every topic. We can't go to a bible verse to fix a broken leg. We can't go to the book of Jeremiah to get help for our Physics homework. But it does mean that all we need to be what God has called us to be, to believe, to walk in His ways – all has been given to us. There is no difficulty in life the scriptures do not address. There is no doctrine necessary unto salvation that the Scriptures do not plainly lay before the eyes of those who have been prepared to receive it. And this belief teaches us that as wonderful as church tradition, creeds, councils, catechisms, and confessions are – should they all burn up tomorrow and all that remains is the Word of God – we have lost nothing. It also teaches us that to understand the problems in this life, the difficulty and struggle, the heart of man, or the truth – we have do not need human psychology, philosophy, theory, or discovery. These too may help us understand our world and ourselves – but they are NOT the final authority especially when they contradict the scriptures. [Slide 32] And 6th – which is a bonus one – you're welcome. Because of all this – we believe that Scripture alone is absolutely, unequivocally, undisputedly, authoritative for all men, let alone for His people. What God says, is. We approach His word humbly expecting to be rebuked, reproved, corrected, and instructed. We expect to leave from His word different than we came. We expect His word not to return to Him void. Counter to our culture which tells us that we can live our truth expecting us to leave their truth alone. God's Word burns away such foolishness. God has said, and that is the final word. You can receive it, believe it, cling to it, or you can reject it… but no matter what YOU do with it – it does not change His Word. It stands forever as Truth from the mind of God. [Slide 33] My friends… If this is true… Why are our bibles not ragged? Why have we not memorized whole books? Why have we not read it all? You say, “You know every year I make it to numbers chapter 1. That's right I made it through Leviticus only to run right into numbers. I couldn't go on.” My friends. Every. Single. Word. In Numbers chapter 1… is from the God who holds the universe in His hands. It is from the God who knows how many hairs are on your head at any given moment. It is from the God who breathed His breathe of life in you so that you might receive faith in Christ. Every. Single. Word…. He has breathed. So that you might know Him. So that you might believe Him. So that you might live for Him. We have exactly 3… only 3 services at our church. Sunday morning, Foundations, and Wednesday night prayer group and bible study. They are all focused on the reading and study of the Word of God. We have added Sunday Night tonight in a study of Deacons. Which will be yet another study from… any guesses? The Word. My friends, it is not that you have no access to the Word. Of God. It is that you have so little time, energy, stamina, willpower, and commitment to pant for the Word. Of. God. Unlike a deer panting after water – our hearts pant after mountain dew, kool-aid, iced tea, and alcohol. But not water. Rarely water. The living water of God's Word. Is it any wonder we are oftentimes lost and rudderless with no answers? Is it any wonder we feel blind and unable to know which step is right? We must keep following the lamp of light… The dawn approaches. Don't be left in the dark.

I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family's bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity. What would sustain Israel through the dark days to come? What was the last message which God left ringing in the ears of Israel? Of us in Christ? The Great and Terrible Day of YHWH | Malachi 3:13-4:6 | Malachi's Burden | Outline | Video "You have criticized me sharply," says YHWH, "but you ask, 'How have we criticized you?' You have said, 'It is useless to serve God. How have we been helped by keeping his requirements and going about like mourners before YHWH of Heaven's Armies? So now we consider the arrogant to be happy; indeed, those who practice evil are successful. In fact, those who challenge God escape!'" Then those who respected YHWH spoke to one another, and YHWH took notice. A scroll was prepared before him in which were recorded the names of those who respected YHWH and honored his name. "They will belong to me," says YHWH of Heaven's Armies, "in the day when I prepare my own special property. I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. Then once more you will see that I make a distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not." "For indeed the day is coming, burning like a furnace, and all the arrogant evildoers will be chaff. The coming day will burn them up," says YHWH of Heaven's Armies. "It will not leave them even a root or branch. But for you who respect my name, the sun of vindication will rise with healing wings, and you will skip about like calves released from the stall. You will trample on the wicked, for they will be like ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing," says YHWH of Heaven's Armies. "Remember the law of my servant Moses, to whom at Horeb I gave rules and regulations for all Israel to obey. Look, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of YHWH arrives. He will encourage fathers and their children to return to me, so that I will not come and strike the earth with judgment" (Malachi 3:13-4:6).
