The goal is to be create a dialogue about these issues and deconstructing ideas of those topics usually not discussed by the Latinx community and culture.
On this episode, we will be talking about first generation students and citizens on college campuses, specifically UNCW. We discuss with our guest, Latisha Rivera, how daunting being a child of an immigrant and the process of being the first person in a family to try to get a higher education. The goal of this episode is to help educate others about the hardship first generation students and children have to go through.
