Christian and Progressive and Rural

I have three goals for this podcast. First, I want to explore an aspect of being politically progressive and Christian. Christianity has been co-opted by the right and now in pop-culture seems synonymous with bigotry and miserliness, with scarcity instead of abundance. This is my small attempt to reclaim a faith based on love, generosity, justice, and healing. Secondly, I’m interested in discussing specific issues facing our communities today, issues of justice that need to be prophetically addressed by the Christian community. And finally, I want to provide information regarding concrete actions that can be taken locally in order to make a positive impact on these issues. This episode discusses the issue of poverty.
