Gay Times Honours

The Gay Times Honours recognise those who have had a tremendous impact on what it means for LGBT+ people to live openly and freely in modern Britain. Nine different categories of Honours are named posthumously after nine LGBT+ trailblazers. For the inaugural Gay Times Honours 2017 a panel of educators, activists and creators compiled shortlists that presented a comprehensive representation of the LGBT+ experience, the nine Honourees were announced at the National Portrait Gallery on 18 November.
