Introduction Poem “ Dear Sadness ”

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 4, 2020 1:46

I wrote this poem at a very difficult time of my life, where I was enduring emotional pain, sadness, and despair. One day I sat down and started to write what I was actually feeling inside of me. I confronted my sadness and told it exactly what I felt, ” Dear Sadness” was my first poem, the first poem I wrote and surprisingly it was my first poem to be published. This reasurred me that I was on the right path, fighting my depression and demons. As I fought my depression I also developed my gift as a writer, with this being said I assure you that their is always a light at the end of the tunnel and this was my light. I hope that when you read this poem you find inspiration within yourself and have faith that out of all bad something good will arise. Sandy M.
