Russ begins a journey through the story of Israel, tracing God's plan from Abraham and the formation of the nation through Moses, Joshua, the judges, and the kings. He explores Israel's repeated struggles with obedience, the division of the kingdom, and the spiritual decline that eventually led to the ministry of the prophet Hosea. Along the way, Russ highlights how God's sovereign plan points ultimately toward Jesus, the Messiah who would come through the line of Judah. The episode concludes with a powerful reminder that God is still calling people today to salvation, to find rest in Him, and to know Christ more deeply.

Is God being too kind? A prophet gets exactly the outcome he prayed for — and it makes him furious. Not because God failed him, but because God showed mercy to people Jonah never wanted forgiven. In the final chapter of Jonah, the story takes an unexpected turn: after Nineveh repents and God relents from judgment, Jonah — the very man who just watched an entire city turn to the Lord — sits down outside the walls and sulks. His real problem was never that God is unjust. It's that God is gracious to people just like the ones we live next to in Doral, Miami, Miami Gardens, Hialeah, and across South Florida — people we might not have chosen to forgive ourselves. In this final message of the "Relentless Love" series, Pastor Caleb Schmiege opens Jonah 4:1-11 to ask the question the whole book has been building toward: are we truly happy that God is gracious and merciful to everyone, or do we want Him to only favor people like us?If God's compassion has ever felt unfair to you — because of who it included — this message is for you. His love was never meant to have a border, a list, or an exception clause. It reaches everyone. It reaches you.

We've all read the headlines that cause our stomachs to drop. When you read the ancient prophet Hosea, it can feel like one of those headlines - a story of heartbreak, betrayal, and self-destruction. But it's there, in the midst of humanity's deepest brokenness and rejection, that the God of the Bible responds with relentless mercy and love. Just when you think all hope is lost, God's unwillingness to give up stares you in the face. Just when you think there's no possible way forward, his love breaks through with a heart-stopping invitation: “Come back to me.”

Is anyone ever too far gone for God? A runaway prophet. A violent, pagan city. By every human measure, both were lost causes. God disagreed. In Jonah 3, the word of the Lord comes to Jonah "a second time." God is a specialist in second chances — not just for Jonah, but for everyone. He recommissions His reluctant, flawed messenger and sends him into Nineveh, a city that seemed beyond saving. And when God's Word goes out, it does not return empty: the entire city — from the king down — turns to the Lord.In this third message from the "Relentless Love" series, Pastor Ben Kuerth opens Jonah 3:1-10 to show us a God who seeks the lost — a God whose mercy has no borders, who uses imperfect people to carry His perfect Word, and whose message of hope reaches into the most unlikely places. If God can restore a runaway prophet and rescue Nineveh, He can reach the person you've been praying for. God loves you. But are you convinced? If we're not careful, those words can lose all meaning. Hosea was a prophet to the nation of Israel thousands of years ago. His ministry was as personal as one could get. The anguish of a husband betrayed and his gut-wrenching journey to get his wife back – that is the picture the ancient prophet Hosea gives us of God's relentless love. Will we allow that picture to correct our misconceptions about the God of the Bible? Will we allow it to lead us away from and out of anything that has taken God's place in our lives?

When you hit rock bottom, it can feel like God has abandoned you. And he discovered something surprising: what first looked like a prison was actually a place of protection, a space where he could finally let go of his pride and confess, "Salvation is from the Lord."In this second message from the "Relentless Love" series, Pastor Caleb Schmiege opens Jonah 2:1-10 to show us a God who is near — not distant — in our lowest moments. A God who meets us in the depths, not to punish us, but to bring us back up and give us a second chance. And Jonah's three days in the deep point us to an even greater rescue: the One who spent three days in the earth so that we could all be raised to new life.Wherever the depths find you today — despair, regret, or your own running — God is closer than you think.

When we hit rock bottom, it often feels like God has abandoned us. However, Jonah's time in the "depths" shows us that the end of our rope is often the beginning of God's rescue. What Jonah first saw as a dark prison actually became a place of protection—a space where he could finally let go of his pride and realize that only God can save. Yet even when we choose other things over Him, God never stops pursuing us. Just as Hosea bought Gomer back, Jesus has already paid the price to bring us home. In this first message, we look at Jonah—a man who didn't just reject a job, but tried to distance himself from the very Source of his life. Jonah's journey reminds us that while we might try to sail away from God's presence, He is too loving to let us go. Ever feel like you could just sail away from your problems — or from God Himself? Jonah didn't just turn down a job assignment. He tried to put an ocean between himself and the very Source of his life, running from a calling that didn't fit his comfort or his prejudice. In this first message from the "Relentless Love" series, Pastor Ben Kuerth opens Jonah 1:1-17 to show us a God who is far too loving to let us go — even when we run. Sometimes He allows a "storm" in our lives, not to punish us, but to rescue us from ourselves and bring us back to His mercy. Because here's the truth Jonah discovered the hard way: you cannot outrun a God who is everywhere, and you cannot outlast a love that will not quit. Wherever you're running today — from a calling, a conviction, or a community — His relentless love is already in the boat with you.

This week in worship, Pastor David studies the minor prophet Hosea. Hosea's story tells us about a God whose love is relentless and steady, even when we are not. Through the image of a broken relationship, we see that God does not walk away when we wander, but continues to pursue, restore, and call us home. This is not a love based on our faithfulness, but on God's unchanging character. Even when we fall short, God's love holds on and makes a way for new beginnings.

In this episode, we talk about how God is at work in our lives even when sorrow feels overwhelming. This Jubilee year of hope is still a light for us, especially when we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or tempted to despair. We talk about the “fatigue of living”, what happens when we isolate ourselves, and why the micromovements of our hearts are so important. God has not guaranteed us an easy life, but He abundantly offers us Himself. With Him, we can encounter Jesus deeply, allow the Spirit to help us overcome our fears, and journey through this life with more hope than we thought possible.   Heather's One Thing - Join me on a pilgrimage to Denmark & Norway | August 3 - 12, 2026   Sister Miriam's One Thing - Into Your Hands, Father: Abandoning Ourselves to the God Who Loves Us by Father Wilfrid Stinissen Michelle's One Thing - I Will Come to You: A Story of Adoption and the Relentless Love of God by Jamie McAleer   Other Resources Mentioned:  Pope Leo XIV's Homily for Pentecost   Journal Questions: When did I last pour my heart out to the Lord?
