WE'RE BACK! This episode features a meandering walk through the carbon cycle, carbon flux, and a start into a talk about geoengineering and why it's something we need to do. Oz Kohen rambles a little too hard and this ends up being the first episode of a two-parter with the second on the way a little later about a couple other topics in geoengineering and some further-future stuff that might even involve space infrastructure!

For our second episode, Oz Kohen rings in 2059 by looking back to some early-century predictions about how they imagined the future! Avi Primack also gets back from vacation and immediately cuts in some pre-show audio to prove a point.

In this, our very first episode, Oz Kohen introduces listeners to the basics of Mineral Hill, touches on a little history, and generally tries to get comfortable in the suddenly very public-facing position of Joint Projects Director while learning the ropes of the position itself. Is this public outreach a chance for Mineral Hill to save itself or is Oz leaving a message for a successor who will never come?
