Nach WICKED ist nun auch WICKED: FOR GOOD (oder eben TEIL 2) im Kino gelandet und verspricht genauso hart (oder eben erfolgreich) einzuschlagen wie sein Vorgänger. Das will natürlich besprochen werden. Zumindest von Bea und Schlogger, von Schröck eher weniger, aber weil er sich nun beide Teile kurz hintereinander reingezogen und generell eine spezielle Meinung zu Musicals hat, gehts so richtig rein ins Reich von Oz, um über Hexen, Zauberer, Scharlatane, Manipulatoren oder geflügelte Affen zu reden. Und natürlich auch über das Phänomen WICKED, über die Verbindungen oder Unterschiede zu DER ZAUBERER VON OZ, über die Optik und Technik, über den Gesang, die besten wie auch die fürchterlichsten Momente, über Ariana Grande oder Cynthia Erivo, über Daniels Lieblingsszene, über G.I. JOE - DIE ABRECHNUNG, auch über ein paar SPOILER oder warum es irgendjemand für eine gute Idee, Michelle Yeoh singen zu lassen. Dabei wird es dann auch allgemeiner um Musicals gehen, wenn Schröck unter anderem von LES MISÉRABLES, CRY BABY oder DER KLEINE HORRORLADEN (LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS) schwärmt oder Bea und Schlogger über das berichten, was sie zuletzt gesehen haben. Nämlich EIN AMERIKANER IN PARIS und WEST SIDE STORY (das Original, wobei das Remake auch noch mal zu Wort kommt). Und Simsalabim: schon sind wieder fast 90 Minuten vorbei, bei denen wir Euch nun eine zauberhafte Zeit und viel Spaß wünschen. Vielleicht wird ja am Ende auch noch gesungen. Wicked is back to defy gravity once again and rock the moviegoing population worldiwde. After the gigantic critical, financial and awards hit that was the first Wicked , Wicked: For Good aims to close out the adaptation of the stage musical. But, as most people online now, the second half of the Wicked musical is infamous for being much weaker than the first. I was shocked last year when I stepped into that screening and came out actually liking Wicked; I was not looking forward to seeing a nearly three-hour musical that was only going to tell half the story, but the performances, musical numbers and world building really won me over. I didn't think it was quite great, and scoffed a little at all the awards aclaim that followed its release... but there's no denying how much that movie struck a chord. MUSICBack in March, Billy Corgan announced that he would celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Smashing Pumpkins' third album, 1995's Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, with a seven-night run at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Billed as A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness, the first of the seven nights is this Friday and it features Corgan and a group of guest artists backed by the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra and Chorus performing orchestral and operatic versions of the 28 songs from the double album.
