In conversations with musicians, artists, writers and makers, host Melisa Gray-Ward explores the experience of working in creative industries while also being a parent. How do you keep making creative work when time and money become finite? Does gender inform expectations when continuing artistic careers as a parent? How does childcare (or lack thereof) impact participation in residencies, conferences and touring? Why is modelling different working roles within all kinds of families important? While pursuing these questions, this podcast examines the identity shift experienced by creatives as they become parents, and how this shift can inform their creative process and output. Hear some of Melisa’s story and what you can expect from the podcast. Stay tuned: the first episode is coming soon.  Opening and closing music is from the song Sandy by Beaches.
