Changing The Narrative is the podcast produced by the young Hawaiian poet Kahula, and focuses on sparking conversation about everything and anything from history to the modern era. There will be a big focus on Hawaiʻi as well.
Hello! I am back just in time for the 129th Anniversary of the Overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Join me as I talk a bit about the event as it happened, what followed, and then ramble on to talk about different things I've noticed in regards to this day. It has been a while, so this episode is definitely a bit rambly, but nonetheless, I wanted to get this out there, because January 17th is an important day in Hawaiian History. Hope you enjoy it!
Today, I just ramble on and on. I discuss getting back into the flow of things and my dreams for creating once again. I also talk about my one-year anniversary of writing and posting my work on Instagram @kahulawrites! It's a fun and silly update, so I encourage you all to listen!
Welcome back to Changing The Narrative! I am back in a sense, and I wanted to give an update. I also wanted to talk about some things on my mind, including Covid. Don't be alarmed though! Remember this is all for the sake of starting and sparking the conversation. I hope you stick around.
Let's talk story today about Colonization in modern times, cultural appropriation and appreciation, and identity.
