What comes to mind when you think of the word disability? Does that term include chronic illnesses and mental health conditions? Is disability black and white or more like a spectrum? All things discussed in this episode of Chronic & Chill. Huge thank you to my lovely contributors. Fashion isn't the first thing that comes to mind when we have discussions about chronic illness and disability. Why not? The way we dress has a serious impact on our self-esteem and the way we present ourselves to others. Options are limited for those with disabilities but in recent years, more companies are working on increasing visibility for disabled bodies in campaigns and on runways whilst being more inclusive during the design process. In this episode, I discuss the representation of disability in the fashion industry, adaptive clothing and I also chat with Catherine Teatum (Teatum Jones).
