    On October 15, 2012, Brenda was the only victims advocate on duty the morning Monique Baza escaped her perpetrator's and ran into the Dededo Police Precinct seeking help. Victims Advocates play a critical role in a victims healing process and most often their role is overlooked. Brenda was one of three victims advocates servicing the entire Island of Guam. Today, she informs the positions of those three advocates working with the Guam Police Department no longer exists.
