Our next Terrified Together is with Kassie, the awesome host of the Tell Me Your Ghost Story Podcast. Our first story comes from Mackie in Lubbock, Texas, who experienced a terrifying encounter that drained her and her boyfriend's energy for an entire week. What started as unexplained fatigue and loss of motivation escalated into a haunting night where they both witnessed a seven-foot shadow figure prowling outside their bedroom window, followed by mysterious tapping sounds that sent them scrambling to check every lock in the house. The second tale takes us to rural Ohio, where 13-year-old Calla and her friend Maddie decided to experiment with the Red Book game - a paranormal ritual involving a red hardcover book (they used a dictionary) and candles. What began as innocent curiosity quickly turned sinister when the spirits they contacted through the book refused to let them leave the game. The aftermath brought sleep paralysis, mysterious scratches, encounters with shadow figures, and the terrifying appearance of the "old hag" - experiences that followed both girls to their separate homes until they performed cleansing rituals to break free from whatever had attached itself to them. In 2011 at the World gymnastics championships in Tokyo. Jake Dalton helped the US men's team finish on the podium, winning a bronze medal just one year out from the London 2012 Olympic Games. Less than twelve months later Jake and his four US team mates qualified in first place ahead of the Olympic team final. After early error's however they finished the event in 5th place but just two years later they were able to learn from the mistakes made in London and once again finish back on the medal podium. It was an incredible World championships for Jake in Nanning 2014, who went on to win an individual World championships floor bronze medal behind Kenzo Shirai and the great Kohei Uchimura. Throughout his career Jake won four World championships medals for team USA and competed at back to back Olympic Games. And this is his story.

In May 2025, Casimir Schmidt finished 8th all around in the European men's artistic gymnastics final at the age of 29. At the junior European championships in 2012 he won the gold medal for team Netherlands on vault which was the beginning of an amazing career. Throughout his gymnastics journey Casimir has competed in a total of 9 major championships all around finals finishing 13th on the biggest stage of all at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Following last summer's Olympic Games, Casimir travelled across the United States performing in the gold over America gymnastics tour, headlined by Simone Biles. Back in 2017 Casimir and his team mate Bram Verhofstad came to visit Nottingham and I had the pleasure of training alongside them both. And this is his story.

In May 2025, Luke Whitehouse made history by winning his third consecutive European men's artistic gymnastics floor title in Leipzig, Germany. Luke is the first British male artistic gymnast to win three individual gold medals on a single apparatus at major championships level. He was selected to represent Great Britain at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and competed in both the team and floor individual event finals. At the time of recording this episode Luke was preparing to fly back out to Germany to compete for Great Britain in the World university Games. Once again Luke brought back the floor title against some of the best athletes in the world, including the current Olympic all around champion from Japan. He's on an incredible run so far this year winning three floor titles already and has his sights set on the World championships this Autumn. And this is his story.

In 2025 Jamie Lewis became the British all around champion at the men's artistic gymnastics championships. He was subsequently selected to represent Great Britain at the European championships and went on to win team gold in Leipzig. Jamie is one of the most successful British junior gymnasts of all time winning total of six European medals. Since that early success Jamie has battled with injuries including a serious injury on the High bar which occurred when his hand guards locked in place. However he is now begging to replicate those junior performances on the senior stage and has had an incredible start to the LA 2028 Olympic cycle. And this is his story.

South Australia's coastline is battling a toxic algal bloom. Rising sea temperatures and a lack of action about the unfolding catastrophe have left experts increasingly concerned about the health of the state's marine ecosystems. Senior reporter Tory Shepherd speaks to Nour Haydar about why experts say this disaster is ‘climate change happening'

(Fremont County, WY) - John Glenn has spent the majority of his life being active, both on the job and in his personal life. However, the former forest service and BLM employee received news that stunned him seven years ago. "I felt a lump in my breast," John explained. He joked, "being a smart guy that I am, I went to doctor Google and looked into it." Ultimately John learned that men could indeed develop breast cancer, but their risk was much smaller than women. "So I blew it off, didn't think much of it." Over time though, things got worse. Glenn went to see a doctor about a year after the initial discovery and was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had spread to his lymph nodes. After receiving treatment from the University of Utah and assistance from Lander's Rocky Mountain Oncology, John is now able to declare he's been cancer-free for five years. In its 5th year, the Riverton Pink Ribbon 5K to benefit the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative has selected John as the Honorary Survivor. This year's event is Saturday, August 16th at the SageWest Riverton campus. Glenn joined us in the County 10 studio along with Rocky Mountain Oncology's Marty Brammer.
