But I do know He is not an unreasonable tyrant, political figurehead, or a finger-wagging god trying to catch you in every mistake. He is the source of my own healing and saved my life, and everyone is welcome in Him. I’m sorry that those of us who try to follow Him fail so badly and so often at loving like He does. My friend Dan talks to us about losing his wife and his home, and the two-year period of homelessness that followed. Have we thought about how our homeless ministries might feel to the folks on the other side of the donations? If not, Dan's story and insights will prompt us to do so.
