I Just Want to Talk

"A strong man learns from his own experiences, and the wise man learns from the strong man." Sometimes we can take an experience and redefine its meaning to us. Not all experiences are good; but what we take away from them, can be. Journey with me as I intrude on a place I'd remember as a staple in my life, for a narrative that would change my life. This podcast is for those who have stood up and faced challenges head on and responded; my faith in me is real, and though fear clinches our hand like a excited child at an amusement park, we press on. "...It could be good, it could be bad, it's too soon to tell." We often times feel compelled to assess and add value to each moment in our lives without giving them time to reveal the lesson we need to learn. Sometimes that lesson doesn't come around until you need it most. I often times labeled the bad times as such, without knowing it would make me great in the moment I needed it most. I'm not a thief; or at least I didn't want to be. Our narrative gives us the confidence to oppose even the sweetest temptation.  But I couldn't resist two temptations, that's just unfair to a kid. If only I would've walked faster... [insert frustrated face here].  Our journey's shape us, and save us. Growing up we did a lot of crazy things, most of them fun, a few of them, I hated, and "Sock each other up" (or something to that effect) was one of them. It wasn't that I was scared, as much as it was, I didn't see the point; and that they pitted me against the kid that could knocked out an adult, just saying. I wanted to do something fun that we would all enjoy, but trying to tell those kids back then, wouldn't be easy...
