God has promised that He will always take care of us, so there is nothing in this world that we should have any reason to fear. Rather than allowing the devil to lock us down in fearful dread, we should instead allow God's love to unlock us from that bondage.

Episode Description:This second installment of “From the Archive” returns to James's early, unfiltered conversation with Tim Ferriss. They unpack how to market by creating newsworthy moments (including a frigid book-launch fiasco turned lesson), how to learn anything using Tim's DISS framework (Deconstruction, Selection, Sequencing, Stakes), and why “possibility is negotiable” when you seek outliers and test assumptions. Tim explains fear-setting, slow-play networking that leads to real mentors, and the origin story of BrainQUICKEN → BodyQuick, including direct-response tactics, offline ads, and early UFC sponsorships. The through-line: run small experiments, protect your best energy, and stack skills to raise your odds. What You'll Learn:How to engineer “newsworthy” launches and recover from execution misses without losing momentum. The DISS method for rapid learning (Deconstruction, Selection, Sequencing, Stakes) you can apply to languages, poker, orFear-setting, not goal-setting: define worst-case scenarios, prevention steps, and recovery plans to make bolder moves.Mentors without asking “be my mentor”: add value first, build loose ties, and let a few relationships compound. From side-hustle to exit: repositioning, channel selection (including print/radio), and why out-of-fashion inventory can be a bargain.Timestamped Chapters:[02:20] A launch-day disaster in 10° weather—and the customer-recovery playbook.[05:00] “Possibility is negotiable” vs. the default “probable” path.[06:57] Finding mentors by learning before earning: the slow-play relationship strategy.[10:00] Optionality: the angel-investing analogy for career and mentors.[14:00] The DISS framework for learning anything.[18:50] Hunt the outliers: why “who shouldn't be good at this—but is?” unlocks technique.[24:30] Fear-setting: risk = likelihood of an irreversible negative outcome.[26:20] Micro-experiments to de-risk big transitions.[27:24] Secret origin: BrainQUICKEN → BodyQuick; from nootropics to non-stimulant pre-workout.[31:55] Repositioning, targeted niches, and early UFC placements.[33:13] Don't ignore “old” channels: print and radio as arbitrage.[33:55] Burnout, one-way ticket to London, and systems that led to a sale.[40:36] Title testing (and red herrings) in publishing.[46:16] The 4-Hour Workweek started by accident [52:14] Publishing myths: how “impossible” ideas become inevitable [01:07:58] TV vs. podcasting: control, constraints, and creative freedom [01:31:34] Investing: bet on people (the beer test + mall test) Additional Resources:Tim Ferriss — official site/podcast hub: tim.blog • The Tim Ferriss ShowThe 4-Hour Workweek (Expanded & Updated): Amazon listingThe 4-Hour Body — official site: fourhourbody.comThe 4-Hour Chef — official site: fourhourchef.comThe 4-Hour Workweek — official site: fourhourworkweek.comSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

January 23, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 83 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers and their ongoing search for a new head coach. Alex and I discuss the Baltimore Ravens hiring Jesse Minter as their new head coach. We also discuss Miami Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver having an in-person meeting with the Steelers on Friday. We also talk about DC Brian Flores signing a contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings and what it is likely to mean or not mean. Brian Baldinger said on Thursday that he thinks the Steelers might be interested in Miami Hurricanes HC Mario Cristobal. We discuss his report on that topic during this show. We also go over the fact that the Steelers are seemingly now down to five final candidates for their head coach job, pending any other late interviews happening. Alex and I go over the situations and rules related to the Steelers possibly having any interest in any members on the staffs of the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos during this show. The Steelers signed another player to a Reserve/Future contract on Thursday, so we make sure to recap that transaction. Should a potential duo of Mike Shula as Steelers head coach and Nate Scheelhaase as offensive coordinator be a concern to fans when it comes to potentially having the latter of the two robbed from the team in the next years? Alex and I discuss that question due to social media concern related to that topic. In the middle of this show, Alex and I discuss the future of Steelers DB Jalen Ramsey in 2026. We go over his contract, his current salary cap charge, and the decisions the Steelers will need to make concerning Ramsey's roster and option bonuses in his contract. The NFL will play their Conference Championship games on Sunday, so ahead of those two games taking place, Alex and I pick the two contests against the spreads that are listed on MyBookie.ag, a longtime sponsor of our podcast. Lastly, Alex and I go over the several emails responses we have received from listeners of the show related to the four quarterback questions we asked late during the Wednesday show. There were a ton of emails to read and while we hit a lot of them, we were unfortunately unable to get to all of them. Alex and I discuss the likelihood of the Steelers trading for San Francisco 49ers QB Mac Jones to close out this Friday episode of the podcast. This 99-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Time is currency. And freestyle Olympic skier Quinn Dehlinger cashed in on an opportunity he earned last June. That's when Quinn got a call from his coach that he'd made the 2026 U.S. Winter Olympic Team. Quinn narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 2022 Olympics. Qualifying eight months before the Olympics in Italy was a game changer. "Going into the competitions this year, if I got sick or had a minor injury it lifted a little of the weight off the shoulders," says Quinn. Aerial skiing is a freestyle discipline. Athletes are often compared to acrobats on skis. The team trains year-round at its home base in Park City at the Utah Olympic Park where skiers spend all summer perfecting tricks in a pool. But Quinn grew up in Cincinnati which has become a pipeline for aerial skiers. Four skiers on the Olympic team have ties to the Cincinnati area and they credit the smaller hill for high reps they did on rails and jumps. On this Dying to Ask: The greatest advantage of making the Olympic team so early. How did Cincinnati become a pipeline for Olympic aerial skiers? Why fear is a good thing when you you're an acrobat on skis And what it's like to pursue an Olympic dream when your girlfriend is also an Olympian
A complete psychological examination of the Tepe murder case — perpetrator, victim, and aftermath.Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott brings over thirty years of clinical experience to analyze every dimension of this devastating case. She's worked in forensic settings, domestic violence programs, and trauma recovery. She's the author of "The Minds of Mass Killers." And she's a survivor of domestic abuse herself. We examine the alleged perpetrator psychology. Michael McKee apparently couldn't let go for eight years after a seven-month relationship. He never remarried. Prosecutors allege he drove six hours, entered the Tepe home without forced entry, shot both victims at 3:52 AM, and drove back. What does the wound collector profile tell us? How do high-functioning individuals compartmentalize obsession? What allegedly triggered action after years of fixation? We explore the victim experience. Monique Tepe knew she was in danger. Family says she talked about being terrified for years. But she never filed a police report. Why don't victims engage systems? What is coercive control? What did she carry every day while building what looked like a happy life? And we confront the aftermath. Two children orphaned. Over a thousand at the funeral. And the devastating truth that Monique did everything right — left fast, told people, rebuilt her life — and it wasn't enough. What could she have done differently? On today’s episode, Rickey Smiley and the crew dove into President Trump’s renewed Greenland ambitions, with the administration touting a “framework” for a long‑term deal discussed at the World Economic Forum. Trump emphasized that he would not use military force and framed the agreement as a strategic security partnership involving NATO and Arctic operations, particularly focusing on mineral rights, missile‑defense initiatives, and Arctic security collaboration. Meanwhile, Pole to Pole star Will Smith described his terrifying near‑death experience while scuba diving beneath ten‑foot‑thick North Pole ice, recalling how he accidentally dislodged his oxygen mask before being pulled to safety—an ordeal he later described as both harrowing and spiritual. The crew also discussed reports of Lakers governor Jeanie Buss privately bristling at LeBron James’ influence within the franchise—tension reportedly fueled by disagreements over roster decisions and her belief that LeBron showed limited appreciation after the team drafted Bronny James. Rounding out the show, Stefon Diggs publicly praised girlfriend Cardi B for her unwavering support during his Patriots playoff run, crediting her for becoming an enthusiastic football fan and celebrating their growing family. In this episode of Talk Dirt To Me, we break down Tennessee House Bill 0809 (HB 0809) the controversial legislation surrounding pesticide liability, chemical manufacturers, and modern agriculture that has sparked heated debate online and across farm country. We cut through the noise and explain what HB 0809 actually does, what it doesn't do, and why, contrary to viral claims, this bill does not open the door to more chemicals in your food or water. We walk through the realities of farming today, including how little crop protection products are actually used, when chemicals are applied, why timing matters, and how strict label laws already govern every single application farmers make. We also directly push back on claims made by Shawn Ryan, addressing the fear-based narrative that this bill would somehow amplify chemical exposure or increase cancer risk. We explain why that argument falls apart when you understand EPA labels, state regulations, applicator licensing, and modern agronomy practices. From there, we dig into the pros and cons of HB 0809, why some farmers support it, why others are skeptical, and what it could mean for lawsuits, ag innovation, and rural economies moving forward. Then we shift gears to one of the biggest frustrations in agriculture right now. The complete punt of E-15 ethanol from the bill. Farmer groups across the country are furious, and for good reason. We discuss: Why E-15 matters for corn farmers How many bushels of corn nationwide E-15 could realistically consume What kind of price impact it could have had on corn markets Why this was such a massive missed opportunity for rural America We close out the episode with a lighter but honest conversation about California, sharing our firsthand experience and why the state isn't nearly as one-dimensional as social media makes it out to be. Our Made in America segment takes a different turn this week as we highlight Cloudlifter, a U.S.-based company building rock-solid audio gear that podcasters and creators actually rely on because supporting American manufacturing doesn't stop at agriculture. The perpetrator psychology. The victim experience. The shattered aftermath. One complete breakdown.Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott brings over thirty years of experience in forensic settings, domestic violence work, and trauma recovery to examine every dimension of the Tepe murder case. She's the author of "The Minds of Mass Killers" — and she's a survivor herself. What allegedly happens inside someone who can't let go for eight years after a seven-month relationship? Michael McKee apparently never remarried. Prosecutors say he drove six hours, entered without forced entry, killed Monique and Spencer at 3:52 AM, and drove back. We examine the wound collector profile, the compartmentalized obsession, the internal narrative that allegedly justified years of fixation. Why didn't Monique report? Family says she talked about being terrified for eight years. She told people about the death threats. But there were no police reports, no restraining orders. We explore coercive control — what Laura Richards calls "murder in slow motion" — and why victims don't engage systems that consistently fail them. And the aftermath: two children orphaned, a community in grief, and the devastating reality that Monique did everything we tell victims to do. In this episode we revisit three Technicolor melodramas made by British cinema's great auteur duo Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, bursting with vibrant emotions and sensuality that exercise a dangerous allure over their protagonists: Clive Candy, the upper-class colonialist twerp played by Roger Livesey in The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943) who discovers the poetry in his soul thanks to the influence of three in-Kerr-nations of Deborah Kerr and the friendship of Anton Walbrook; Sister Clodagh (Kerr again) in Black Narcissus (1947), futilely pitting the Protestant work ethic against the infinite; and Victoria Page (Moira Shearer) in The Red Shoes (1948), torn between the demands of art and mere humanity. And in Fear and Moviegoing in Toronto, more Naruse: Flowing (1956), a study of a declining geisha house through the perspective of Kinuyo Tanaka's kindly but powerless servant, and The Stranger Within a Woman (1966), a film noir about being consumed by guilt while the world just wants you to move on. Everyone thinks AI is the shortcut to better content.More posts.Better hooks.Faster growth. But if AI actually worked the way people think it does… everyone would be winning. In this episode of the Elite Coaching Cast, we're joined by Jelani Abdus-Salaam (@jelanifuel) founder of @bestofaidaily and @scriptkitai — to break down the real relationship between AI, content creation, and execution.Jelani works at the intersection of AI, media, and systems, helping creators and businesses understand how to use AI tools without losing their voice, discipline, or edge. And in this conversation, we cut straight through the hype.AI doesn't replace reps.AI doesn't replace discipline.AI doesn't replace clarity, voice, or execution. What it does do is expose the gaps.If you don't know how to show up consistently… AI won't fix that.If you don't know how to communicate clearly… AI won't fix that.If you're avoiding the work… AI just makes that more obvious. This episode isn't about chasing trends or “prompt hacks.”It's about using AI the right way — as a multiplier, not a crutch.
Things Discussed: IU national champions: Most unlikely championships in the history of sports. Credit Cignetti and top to bottom program management. How did they do it? Talent evaluation is elite. Built like 2023 Michigan: develop a lot of your own guys and then surgically found guys in the portal. Seth: Lesson for the rest of CFB is ROI: IU wasn't paying that much for their JMU guys, wasn't spending to have 5-stars learning to play on the three-deep. Focus shifting from Ty Haywoods (super talented, needs 3 years) to Blake Frazier (ready now) because there's no guarantee you'll get any return. Need to build your scouting department to watch all of CFB and know what you need. Sam: Can Michigan recreate the JMU Dudes with some of the Utah guys they got? Not a coincidence the Big Ten is winning championships and SEC isn't even in the game. Two reasons the SEC was dominant: they had a culture of paying players under the table and they had Nick Saban. Being able to develop guys (without them leaving or costing too much) will be the golden egg in the future. How sustainable? Maybe? Bringing in a veteran QB every year, DC might get Jesse Minter'd to a better job. Should remain a good team, very hard to repeat. Hoops: Shooting better? Maybe, but 3s are random and they're probably capped around okay in that department because they have guys like Gayle, Cason and Yax. IU lost their main guy who could get to the bucket and M could lock them down. Excellent defensive performance disguised by Kenpom. IU shut down M's transition game by abandoning the boards. Interesting decision by IU because those were M weaknesses. Yax okay? Think he plays off Rez—the scouting report is focus on Yaxel so that's opened up things for Johnson, since no team has enough big wings to last against both of them. Ohio State preview: OSU is an effort game—Thornton can shoot and they make a lot of floaters. CANNOT let them cut and get to the rim. They don't play defense so you have to put up 100 on them. Nebraska: Nebraska might be without their freshman winger Braden Frager, that makes them a five-out team. Can you play Mara against them? Break: Tatum to RB? Probably a Whittingham "gonna try that" thing. He's had success with that, but it's a bit late and there's no scouting on it. Like what it says about Tatum as a team player. Don't think he can play both AND baseball. That's a lot, and safety is the moon to him. Hockey: Michigan is #1 in Big Ten points percentage but they've got the hardest schedule of any team in hockey left to go. Let off the gas for 10 minutes of 120 against Minnesota and were unlucky not to get more goals. Have to protect Peck—this team can play defense like that, going to have to maintain that focus. Can't lose points against the OSUs and Minnesotas because the games vs MSU/Wisconsin will determine the league. Can you get Ivankovic back? Maybe? Haven't heard anything positive except they haven't ruled it out. Trey Burke: Top three player in M history? Yeah. Block was clean, and so was the team.
Lawmakers appear on the brink of passing a spending bill for the Department of Health and Human Services and a bipartisan health policy bill delayed for over a year. But the outlook is considerably bleaker for the health care outline released by President Donald Trump last week. Sheryl Gay Stolberg of The New York Times, Paige Winfield Cunningham of The Washington Post, and Sandhya Raman of CQ Roll Call join KFF Health News' Julie Rovner to discuss those stories and more. Also this week, Rovner interviews oncologist and bioethicist Ezekiel Emanuel to discuss his new book, “Eat Your Ice Cream: Six Simple Rules for a Long and Healthy Life.” Plus, for “extra credit” the panelists suggest health policy stories they read this week that they think you should read, too: Julie Rovner: CIDRAP's “Minnesota Residents Delay Medical Care for Fear of Encountering ICE,” by Liz Szabo. Sheryl Gay Stolberg: Rolling Stone's “HHS Gave a $1.6 Million Grant to a Controversial Vaccine Study. These Emails Show How That Happened,” by Katherine Eban. Paige Winfield Cunningham: Politico's “RFK Jr. Is Bringing the GOP and the Trial Bar Together,” by Amanda Chu. Sandhya Raman: Popular Information's “ICE Has Stopped Paying for Detainee Medical Treatment,” by Judd Legum.
In this episode, we discuss how artificial intelligence is increasingly blurring the line between assistance and deception, from using AI tools to troubleshoot everyday problems to the growing risks of deepfake images and AI-generated pornography. We examine questions of name, image, and likeness as property, the limits of regulation, and whether government enforcement can realistically keep pace with rapidly evolving technology. We also dive into the foolishness of the week involving the Smithsonian and renewed debates over Trump's impeachments, before turning to broader political questions about gerrymandering, census data, immigration, and representation. The conversation closes with a look at election denial, political extremism, rising distrust in institutions, and how economic anxiety continues to fuel anger and division across American society. 00:00 Introduction and Overview 00:26 Fixing a Computer with AI Assistance 02:00 Listener Calendar Story and Patreon Banter 03:52 AI, Deepfake Porn, and Image Ownership 05:14 Grok and AI Image Manipulation 08:01 AI Guardrails 10:44 Foolishness of the Week: Smithsonian and Trump's Impeachments 12:15 Trump, Impeachment, and Historical Legacy 14:54 Does Trump Care About His Legacy? 17:05 Midterm Elections and House Control 18:45 Gerrymandering, Courts, and State Power 20:15 Urban vs Rural Political Divide 22:09 Redistricting, Census Rules, and Immigration 24:25 Census Overreach and Bad Data 26:00 Political Representation and Imperfect Systems 27:52 Why America Still Attracts Immigrants 28:47 Peaceful Transfers of Power and January 6 29:53 Election Denial and Institutional Trust 33:21 Political Extremism and Rising Violence 35:01 Protests, Policing, and Fear of Government 37:57 Midterms, Election Fallout, and Political Violence 38:54 Economic Anxiety and Political Anger Learn more about your ad choices. Family members say Monique Tepe talked about being terrified of Michael McKee for eight years. She described the abuse. She warned people about the death threats. She carried that fear while building a new marriage, raising two children, and living what looked like a happy life. She never filed a police report. There were no stalking complaints on record. Why do victims of coercive control stay silent when it comes to the legal system — even when they clearly understand the danger? In Part 2 of our three-part expert interview series, psychotherapist Shavaun Scott examines the victim experience. With over thirty years in domestic violence shelters and trauma recovery — and as a survivor of an emotionally abusive marriage herself — Shavaun brings both clinical expertise and personal understanding to these questions. We examine what Laura Richards calls "murder in slow motion" — psychological abuse that leaves no visible marks. We explore why victims hope distance and time will protect them. We analyze what it does to someone to live in fear for years while trying to maintain normalcy. And we ask what it means that Monique's wedding vows to Spencer — three years after leaving McKee — still referenced "wrong relationships" and "waterfalls of tears."The weight victims carry. Lynn Smith is a former national news anchor for NBC, MSNBC, and CNN who now serves as an executive communication strategist and CEO of Lynn Smith Media & Communications, where she helps enterprise leaders become revenue-driving communicators. Drawing on 15 years inside top newsrooms, she coaches Fortune 500 CEOs to transform fear into confident communication that protects productivity, investor trust, and market value, and she is also the author of the children's book Just Keep Going, designed to teach kids resilience and courage from an early age. On this episode we talk about: How fear quietly sabotages CEOs, communication, and company performance Why Lynn wrote Just Keep Going as a children's book inspired by her work with executives A simple framework for assessing risk with best and worst-case scenarios The difference between real confidence and arrogance in leadership How to prepare for high-stakes communication moments without sounding scripted Why presence, energy, and human connection are irreplaceable in the age of AI Top 3 Takeaways Fear is a signal, not a stop sign. The most successful leaders learn to “metabolize” fear, assess risk clearly, and move forward with smart, courageous decisions instead of staying stuck in their comfort zone. Preparation is the fastest path to confidence. When you prepare the right way—refining your message, practicing soundbites, and taming your inner critic—you show up calmer, clearer, and far more influential. Your communication and presence are your new competitive edge. As automation and AI expand, the leaders who win will be those who communicate with clarity, empathy, and energy that other humans actually want to follow. Notable Quotes “The greatest indicator of success is your ability to metabolize fear and assess risk without being reckless.” “Confidence isn't believing you're good at everything—it's knowing you'll figure it out even if you fail.” “If you don't communicate your vision effectively, it doesn't exist.” Connect with Lynn Smith: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lynnsmithtv Twitter/X: https://twitter.com/lynnsmithtv Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lynnsmithtv Website: https://www.lynnsmith.com Just Keep Going Book & Resources: https://www.justkeepgoingbook.com Travis Makes Money is made possible by High Level – the All-In-One Sales & Marketing Platform built for agencies, by an agency. Monique Tepe allegedly knew she was in danger. She talked about it for eight years. And she never called the police.Family members say Monique described Michael McKee as emotionally abusive. She told them about death threats during their brief marriage. She said she was terrified. She warned people. But when Police Chief Bryant was asked about prior reports of threats or concerns, she confirmed there were none. Why don't victims report? Why do women who clearly understand the danger stay silent when it comes to the system? In Part 2 of our three-part interview series, psychotherapist Shavaun Scott explores the victim experience. Shavaun has over thirty years working in domestic violence shelters and trauma recovery — and she's a survivor herself. Her ex-husband died by revenge suicide after she asked for divorce. She understands what Monique may have been carrying in ways most people never will.We examine coercive control — the psychological abuse that leaves no bruises. We explore why victims hope distance and time will be enough protection. We ask what it does to someone to live in fear for years while building what looks like a happy life. And we dig into the heartbreak of Monique's wedding vows, where she talked about "waterfalls of tears" from her past. She told people. Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Shelby Williams.
This is Part 5 of a conversation with Lucy Butler of River Haven Animal Sanctuary, and Dr Stephanie Jones and her grad student, Sofia Abuin. In Part 1 we talked about the common links between teaching people and working with animals. We talked about coercion, control, and most importantly about empathy. In part 2 Stephanie described a pilot study she and her colleagues set up at the River Haven Animal Sanctuary. Shaping can be incredibly challenging to teach well. Often people refer to the science and the art of training. What Stephanie and her colleague Michael Yencha wanted to investigate is what makes up the “art” part of training? Is there a way to tease this apart so it becomes less mystery and more approachable through science? In Part 3 Stephanie reminded us that the goal of this research project was to help new trainers shape well. That was the reason for the latency criterion. They were using it to judge when to shift criteria. They weren't looking at any other aspects of shaping. They weren't looking at the details of the reinforcement strategy or the set up of the environment. They weren't saying those elements aren't important, but they wanted to focus on this one component and give it a good rule. The question was how do you get robust interventions that aren't influenced by implementer errors? Even in art there is technique. If you give people this rule, does that mean learners will be better off because shapers are able to minimize exposure to extinction without even needing to know what it means to minimize exposure to extinction? Can new trainers shape well even when they are lacking experience and a broad theoretical background? We ended Part 3 at a point where Stephanie and Sofia had to leave, but we continued the conversation with Lucy Butler. In Part 4 we talked about the latency rule Stephanie and her colleagues used in the study with the goats and contrasted that with Loopy Training. Whether we're talking about science or art, there are principles that guide us towards better results. Lucy suggested that instead of trying to design a study that teases apart the elements that lead to better shaping results, it might be more useful to watch a master teacher train to see what they do. In Part 5 we continue to explore the what we can learn from watching effective trainers. When there are constraints on the training, what becomes really important? The constraints may be the time you have to train, or the environment you have to work in, how do you prioritize what to work on? The discussion takes us to this great statement from Lucy Butler: When we understand how behavior is selected and reinforced, we understand that we don't have to fear behavior. There's going to be some way we can design and train our way to something better. It's such an optimistic and hopeful way of being with our animals, and what it turns into is confidence. Join us as we weave our way to this very hopeful statement.
How to Trade Stocks and Options Podcast by 10minutestocktrader.com
Are you looking to save time, make money, and start winning with less risk? Then head to https://www.ovtlyr.com.This one gets real fast.If you have ever looked back at a trade and thought, “Why did I do that?” this video is probably going to hit a nerve. It starts with a hard lesson a lot of traders learn the expensive way selling options for pennies feels clever until the market reminds you that it does not care about your confidence. From there, it turns into a full breakdown of how to actually survive and thrive when silver, gold, and momentum trades start moving fast.Silver has been on an absolute tear, and that is exactly why this conversation matters right now. Making money on the way up is easy. Knowing when to stay in, when to scale out, and when to rotate without blowing yourself up is where most people fail. This video walks through that problem in plain English, without predictions, hype, or magical price targets.Instead of guessing tops or calling crashes, the focus is on structure. Market cycles. Trend confirmation. Letting price and math do the talking. You will see how the 10, 20, and 50 moving averages fit together, why buying strength beats buying dips, and how most traders sabotage themselves by reacting emotionally instead of following a plan.Midway through, the discussion shifts into silver specifically and why pricing silver relative to gold can matter more than pricing it in dollars. The gold to silver ratio becomes a tool, not a prediction. It is not about being right. It is about having a repeatable exit process that works even when the market gets wild. There is also a very honest look at live portfolio management. Real positions. Real numbers. Real decisions. No hiding behind hindsight or theory. Just how trades are managed when things are working and how exits are handled when conditions change. Here is what you will take away from this video:✅ Why most traders give back gains after big runs✅ How to stop selling winners too early out of fear✅ When it actually makes sense to lock in profits✅ How rolling options can reduce stress and risk✅ Why a written trading plan beats opinions every timeOne of the biggest themes throughout the video is mental discipline. Hope is not a strategy. Fear is not a strategy. Guessing is not a strategy. Having rules for entries, exits, and rotations is what separates professionals from people just reacting to candles on a screen. This is not about calling silver at a specific price or timing some perfect top. It is about staying invested while trends are working, stepping aside when they are not, and never letting ego make decisions for you. If you have ever struggled with exits, overtraded during volatility, or watched profits disappear because you froze, this breakdown will feel very familiar.Watch it with an open mind. Pay attention to the logic, not the noise. And start thinking about whether you actually have an exit plan or if you are just hoping things work out.Gain instant access to the AI-powered tools and behavioral insights top traders use to spot big moves before the crowd. There is no shortage of fear in the world right now. Wars, threats, rumors, and nonstop headlines are pushing people into panic. But fear was never supposed to be the fruit of Bible prophecy. Scripture tells us that understanding produces strength, not anxiety. Today, we're talking about why God never intended end time teaching to paralyze believers — and how understanding prophecy replaces panic with purpose, stability, and peace in the middle of a shaking world. ⭐️: True Gold Republic: Get The Endtime Show special on precious metals at https://www.endtimegold.com 📱: It's never been easier to understand. A chaotic but revealing game-show-style opening leads into a sharp lesson on why market trivia doesn't matter nearly as much as discipline. Tom and Don walk through eye-opening 2025 market stats, including the real impact of the Magnificent Seven, international stocks' outperformance, and a surprising Bitcoin result, before pivoting to listener calls on risk aversion in retirement, tax drag in fixed income, ETF vs. mutual fund structure, pensions as “bond substitutes,” and the fear of poorly timed rollovers. The episode reinforces a consistent theme: markets anticipate, investors overthink, and long-term success comes from diversification, cost control, and building portfolios around real human behavior—not headlines. 0:04 Cold open and chaotic “What Do You Know?” game show setup 1:58 S&P 500 return vs. performance without the Magnificent Seven 5:16 Magnificent Seven's staggering 10-year return 5:48 International stocks outperform U.S. stocks in 2025 7:35 Retired caller weighs SGOV vs. VTEB and tax efficiency 10:01 Risk aversion, inflation fears, and when bonds actually belong 13:11 CD ladders as a stability alternative to bond funds 14:27 Clean energy ETFs rise despite negative policy headlines 16:41 Colombia emerges as best-performing global stock market 18:02 Bitcoin's surprising full-year decline in 2025 19:02 Why none of this market trivia actually matters 20:28 ETFs vs. mutual funds explained simply and clearly 24:44 Why fund companies resist ETF conversions 27:13 Pension income vs. bonds in portfolio construction 31:20 AI voice experiment and margin rate reality check 32:02 Fear of rolling over 401(k)s and “hodgepodge-itis” Learn more about your ad choices. We're in the middle of a run it hot economy. Today our discussion ranged from geopolitics into markets, including precious metals. Silver's recent surge is best understood as a reversion toward historical gold–silver ratios rather than a knowable fundamental catalyst. Silver's parabolic move looks unstable compared to gold's healthier, slower uptrend. But no one can truly know why prices move, so investors should be clear about why they own precious metals since that purpose should drive allocation size and risk tolerance. We also talk macro conditions, the U.S. may be pursuing an "inflationary boom" or "run it hot" strategy to offset high debt and valuations, which would favor real assets like commodities, gold, and real estate over long-duration bonds. It's important to manage fear, avoid extreme predictions, stay diversified, and pay close attention to structure, incentives, taxes, and shifting global leadership rather than relying on narratives or past performance. We discuss... Precious metals are a key focus, with gold behaving in a steady, healthy bull market while silver experienced a sharp and unstable surge. The gold-to-silver ratio was discussed as historically stretched and now reverting toward long-term norms, helping explain silver's outperformance. Silver was highlighted as both a monetary metal and a critical industrial commodity listed by the U.S. government as strategically important. The parabolic nature of silver's recent price action is risky and vulnerable to sharp pullbacks or policy interventions like margin hikes. Investors should define why they own precious metals—portfolio balance, trend participation, or protection against monetary risk. Fear-driven investing and "end of the world" thinking are harmful to rational portfolio decisions. The idea of an "inflationary boom" or "run-it-hot" economic strategy was presented as the likely policy path forward. Big tech is increasingly fragile and potentially misaligned with an inflationary-growth regime. International markets were noted as having recently outperformed U.S. equities despite America-first political narratives. Valuations in U.S. equities were described as high and structurally fragile, even as the bull market remains intact. Technicals and momentum are dominating fundamentals in the current market cycle. Tax considerations are an often-overlooked but critical factor in portfolio construction and asset selection. Bitcoin's unique tax treatment and classification as property offer planning advantages versus securities. Be wary about complacency, overconcentration, and narrative-driven investing in a late-cycle market. Addiction Unlimited Podcast | Alcoholism | Life Coach | Living Sober | 12 Steps
Everything you need to know about why sobriety alone isn’t enough – and what real recovery actually looks like. Listen, I see this pattern ALL the time with the people I work with. They quit drinking, they think they’ve done the hard part, and then a few weeks or months in… they’re confused. They’re disappointed. They’re thinking, “Is THIS what the rest of my life is going to be like?” And the answer is: only if you stop here. Sobriety is quitting. Recovery is healing. And the only way to stay sober – the only way to actually build a life you love – is to do the healing work Most people quit drinking hoping sobriety won't be too inconvenient. They want the same life. The same relationships. The same routines.Just… without alcohol. And at first, it works. You feel better. Clearer. Less foggy. But then — weeks or months in — the feelings come back. Anxiety.Overwhelm.Anger.Fear. All the things alcohol was quietly managing for you? They're still there. And now they're loud because you aren’t numbing them anymore. That doesn't mean sobriety is failing. It means your nervous system is healing. Today, I’m sitting down with Michael Z, who has 30 years of sobriety. And let me tell you, this conversation is GOLD. Michael is old-school AA, incredibly honest, and he shares exactly what it was really like in early sobriety and what it takes to build a life you actually want to live long-term. Because recovery isn't a destination — it's a practice. If you’re newly sober and struggling – if you’re thinking “why is this so hard?” or “I thought things would be better by now” – you’re not doing it wrong. You’re just in the gap. The gap between sobriety and recovery. Grab your headphones, get comfortable, and let’s talk about what it really takes to stay sober. Trust me, this conversation is going to give you the clarity and the roadmap you need to move forward. If you're done white-knuckling, overthinking, or feeling stuck in that miserable middle — and you want real support to build a solid recovery foundation — I can help.
Have you ever been told (or told yourself) that if you truly trusted God, fear wouldn't keep showing up? That peace would come more naturally, your thoughts would settle faster, and your body wouldn't feel so tense all the time? But instead, you feel worn down. Mentally alert but physically tired. Spiritually anchored, yet internally unsettled. And when fear surfaces, it doesn't feel like rebellion; it feels like your system is overwhelmed. What if that fear isn't evidence of weak faith, but a signal from a body that has learned to stay protective to survive?Rooting for you,JessicaNext steps:Learn more about working with me 1:1 as your mental health coach: https://www.jessicahottle.com/mental-health-coachingOr book your free 20-minute consultation here!Get my self-paced course, Untangle Your Thoughts program: https://www.jessicahottle.com/healEmail me at >> jessica@jessicahottle.comThe information shared in this podcast is for educational and informational purposes only and is not intended as medical or clinical advice. So many people come to me feeling completely stuck. They've tried everything — every diet, every supplement, every practitioner, every protocol. They track. They monitor. They micromanage. They try harder. And yet… their blood sugar still isn't improving. In this episode, I want to share a pattern I see over and over again with the people who are struggling the most — and it might surprise you.Fear.Not fear as weakness — but fear as a state the body is living in.When we approach our health from fear — fear of food, fear of symptoms, fear of getting it wrong, fear of our own bodies — we create an internal environment that is not safe enough for healing. And the body will not heal in a state of constant surveillance. In This Episode, We Talk About:Why the most “complex” blood sugar cases often have nothing to do with foodHow fear shows up as micromanagement, self-surveillance, and over-interventionWhy constantly tracking, fixing, and correcting can keep you stuckHow the nervous system and mitochondria respond to perceived threatThe connection between suppressed emotions and physical symptomsWhy perfectionism, people-pleasing, and high-achieving traits show up so often in blood sugar issuesHow fear around food, toxins, carbs, and supplements can backfireThe difference between healing from fear vs healing from loveWhat it actually means to “come from a place of love” with your bodyHow self-compassion, curiosity, and patience change the healing processWhy symptoms can sometimes be your body setting boundaries for youHow emotional safety plays a role in blood sugar regulationTODAY'S SPONSOR:Qualia Life: Head to qualialife.com/DANI and use the code DANI to get a discount!Book a call with me to learn more about the program: https://calendly.com/daniellehamiltonhealth/discoverycall Enroll today! https://dhhealth.showitpreview.com/blood-sugar-mastery STAY IN TOUCH WITH ME:
We love the little synchronicities that the universe throws out there. Like publishing this episode right after our previous episode - completely unplanned. If you missed our last episode, we spoke with Jessicca Moore, the creator of the documentary, “Why Not Home?” a film that explores the decisions of hospital birth care providers (nurses, doctors, midwives, etc.) who chose home birth. Well in this episode, we have Alyssa's story. The synchronicity that we mentioned? Alyssa is a registered nurse, with most of her experience in the postpartum and nursery units. Our conversation with Alyssa is the perfect follow up to our interview with Jessicca last week, where we talk about birth professionals choosing home birth. Alyssa is this person! How awesome is that? And Alyssa is super knowledgeable. We were just in awe of all the information she has and can rattle off. There's so much that we included parts of her emails and additional resources in the extra notes with the episode on our website. Alyssa shares her passion for birth with us along with her journey of pregnancy and birth for her daughter Zoey with her husband Chris. They actually switched over to a home birth plan and midwifery model of care in the third trimester (so it's never too late for you to use the care provider that aligns best with you!). Like many of our guests, Chris and Alyssa watched “Business of Being Born.” Chris's response, “We can do this. Let's just do it at home!” We like his style! Alyssa has firsthand experience of what it feels like to choose home birth, when you work in an environment that does not typically support it. Fears, reactions and judgements from friends, family, co-workers come up in our talk. Also what evidence-based practice is about, the details around informed consent and why birth is not a pathological process. Alyssa's amazing birth experience and fascinating perspective given her profession make this a must-listen episode! Can faith sustain courage and openness in a polarized democracy? Former Ohio governor and presidential candidate John Kasich reflects on faith, fear, character, and public life amid deep political polarization and religious tension in America.“There is a certain comfort in knowing you have somebody who's always in your corner.”In this conversation with Evan Rosa, Kasich reflects on personal faith shaped by tragedy, the search for purpose, and why character matters more than ideology in leadership. Together they discuss religious faith in American life, his experience running in the 2016 Republican presidential primaries, voting on character over beliefs, firm political commitments, open-minded perspective taking, his vision of a life worth living, and before the end of this conversation, you'll find out his favorite Metallica song.Episode Highlights“There is a certain comfort in knowing you have somebody who's always in your corner.”“You can be firm while at the same time looking at a point of view of somebody who's diametrically opposed to you.”“I look for character. I don't look for what somebody thinks about the Book of Revelation.”“Faith informs the way I think about things, but it doesn't spell out what I'm going to do.”“If you begin to work together to solve a problem locally, it can actually create friendship.”About John KasichJohn Kasich is a former U.S. congressman, two-term governor of Ohio, and presidential candidate with more than four decades of experience in public service, media, and civic leadership. First elected to the Ohio State Senate at age 26, he later served 18 years in the U.S. House of Representatives before becoming governor in 2011. Kasich has authored six books exploring politics, faith, leadership, and civic responsibility, including his most recent, Heaven Help Us: How Faith Communities Inspire Hope, Strengthen Neighborhoods, and Build the Future. What if the pressure you're putting on yourself to change your drinking is actually the very thing keeping you stuck? In this episode, I answer a question from a listener named Deb who feels like she's on her last chance to get her drinking under control. She's caught in a familiar loop of replacing alcohol with snacking, and the frustration is palpable. But the real problem isn't the drink or the snack. So what is? Tune in this week to learn why fear-based motivation bypasses the emotional skill-building you actually need to create change, how to break the cycle of replacing alcohol with food (and why it happens), and the counterintuitive truth about discomfort that changes everything. Break the cycle of temporary challenges and learn how to make alcohol feel truly optional during my three-day Reset Your Drinking workshop starting January 21st, 2026. Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussions of stroke, death of a spouse, and grief. What happens when you stop trying to think your way through living alcohol-free and start feeling your way forward? Ann felt trapped by an endless to-do list and the fear that alcohol would "attack" when her defenses were down. Jamie clung to her nightly glass of wine as the last piece of normalcy after losing her husband and surviving a stroke. Both women were stuck in their heads, analyzing and overthinking instead of experiencing their journey. In this episode, you'll witness the moment everything shifts. Coach Hayley guides Ann through reframing her entire approach to recovery, helping her discover how to move from thinking to feeling through powerful language shifts and self-compassion. Coach Cole helps Jamie see that prioritizing her health isn't about deprivation—it's about opening new doors. Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Heather R. Younger. CEO, workplace culture expert, author, and founder of a major employee engagement consultancy—joins Rushion McDonald to discuss leadership, employee empowerment, navigating fear, and self‑leadership in modern workplaces. She shares her personal experiences with layoffs, career uncertainty, anxiety, and leadership failures—and how these experiences shaped her mission to be “the voice for the voiceless” in organizational culture. They explore the emotional realities of layoffs vs. terminations, how employees can take control of their professional well‑being, and Heather’s framework for identifying and overcoming fear. PURPOSE OF THE INTERVIEW 1. To introduce Heather’s work and mission She champions active listening, employee empowerment, and self‑leadership after personally reading 30,000+ employee surveys and leading 100+ focus groups. 2. To teach listeners how to navigate workplace uncertainty She provides strategies for dealing with anxiety, job insecurity, change, and inconsistent leadership climates. 3. To share an empowering message about self‑leadership Central idea: No one is coming to save you. You must lead yourself first. 4. To explore how fear holds people back professionally She outlines how fear affects decision‑making, action-taking, and confidence. KEY TAKEAWAYS 1. Why She Does This Work She witnessed firsthand how mergers, layoffs, and poor communication harm employees. After being laid off with 200+ others, she realized she needed to become the “voice of reason” who turns employee concerns into actionable insights for leaders. 2. Layoff vs. Termination — Emotional Differences Layoffs: painful but less shame; not personal fault. Termination: usually involves personal accountability, and often carries more shame. Both create a feeling of powerlessness, but each requires emotional processing and reframing. 3. No One Is Coming To Save You Employees must take responsibility for: Their growth Their mental health Their career progression Their emotional well‑being HR cannot save you, Heather says—they play a dual role and cannot be personal rescuers. 4. Managing Workplace Anxiety Key strategies include: Nightly reflection → Write down what went well and what you controlled. Reframing → Turning irrational fears into rational thoughts. Breathing, sunlight, walking, self‑care → Especially for anxiety. Intentional mindset‑switching → Choosing thoughts that serve you. 5. The Five Ways Fear Holds You Back Professionally Heather identifies several fear patterns: 1. Fear of Feedback Avoiding action because you’re afraid of what others may say. 2. Fear of Retribution / Getting in Trouble Hesitating to take risks or initiative. 3. Fear of Speaking Up Not challenging authority or expressing dissenting opinions due to lack of psychological safety. 4. Fear Rooted in Family / Cultural Conditioning Inherited fear patterns from parents, grandparents, or trauma. 5. Fear of Regret / Non‑Action She teaches a powerful question: “What will I regret the longest—doing the thing or not doing the thing?” This question accelerates decision‑making and breaks the paralysis of fear. 6. Take Ownership of Your Life — Self‑Leadership Become the Chief Iterator of Your Life → Continue refining yourself like a living prototype. Accept mistakes as part of growth. Avoid perfectionism; aim for continuous improvement. 7. Practical Daily Habits Prepare mentally each night. Hydrate, sleep well, move your body. Train yourself to take small positive actions daily. NOTABLE QUOTES FROM THE INTERVIEW On Self‑Leadership “Ain’t nobody coming to save me. And in the workplace, no one’s coming to save you.” On Fear “Feedback is a gift—even if it hurts.” “We sit around waiting for green lights, access, invitations… It’s not coming. We need to seize it.” “What is the thing you will regret the longest—doing it or not doing it?” On Navigating Change “You get to fight tooth and nail for your own mental space.” On Personal Growth “See yourself as a work in progress—a constant iteration.” On Workplace Emotions “With layoffs, you didn’t have a hand in it. With termination, there’s more shame.” #SHMS #STRAW #BESTSupport the show: https://www.steveharveyfm.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Control over the mind is really quite simple. Control demands a fear stimulus and a reward system. Our entire system is designed that way to engineer predictive out comes. Fear programming narrows the focus and distracts from the bigger moves that are being made. The reward system builds in the ability to endure the pain in the hope of receiving the promises of rewards in the future. Fear of war, revolution, immigrant take over of America are balanced with the promise of the Golden Age that will reward your endurance. It's all by design to usher in the new system of control which will seem better than the trauma one has endured to get there. #BardsFM_Morning #FearAndReward #TheCarrotAndTheStick Bards Nation Health Store: www.bardsnationhealth.com EnviroKlenz Air Purification, promo code BARDS to save 10%: www.enviroklenz.com EMPShield protect your vehicles and home.
