    Episode 7 of Loud Black Girls podcast focuses on the discussion surrounding mental health in the Black community. Because of its taboo nature, the topic of mental health and wellness is often swept under the rug until instances of its necessity are forced to be addressed. The story of Pandora’s Box is a part of Greek legend that can be interpreted to refer to getting into a situation in which one has very little control over after making decisions that could have changed the outcome. With mental health in the Black community being such a strong taboo among us, we’ve lost control over ways to handle it and the consequences of that are seen in the media, our relationships, and even within ourselves.
