Our dear friend Rafael Martinez-Salgado was in town this week and we had a wonderful conversation with him about representation of Hispanic and Latino musical theater performers. We talk about the importance of creating roles for people of all backgrounds, being seen for roles traditional played by white actors, and why people of Hispanic and Latino descent need to be the ones telling the stories of their people.
