ROK Talk on Drives is a new podcast from Rockwell Automation. The topics will be focused on Drives and include both medium and low voltage VFDs, as well as servo drives. Topics could cover areas of packaging and applications for drives. Tune in for all the information you never knew you needed about drives.
Today’s topic is on how to select the right medium voltage drive for your application. First of all, when do you need to consider a medium voltage drive vs a low voltage drive. Medium Voltage is preferred when higher power motors are required and branch circuit power cabling distances are longer – i.e. over 50 - 100 meters
On today's episode we’re going to talk about the difference between a drive and a soft starter. We’re here with Bill Martin, host of ROK Talk on Industrial Components, who will help explain the difference. Jim Finak and Neal Corbett of Rockwell Automation will chime in as well. Tune in for all the information you never knew you needed about drives.
