Roll CallEd is born out of the reason I was drawn to teaching in the first place, because schools sit at the intersection of almost all social policy. Through this platform I position myself to think critically about the eduction landscape and seek to draw others into the conversation. Teaching is political. Schools and kids are beholden to local, state, and federal politics. I'm working to understand the systems and choices that create current inequities and inequalities in education with the intention of dismantling the systems of oppression at work in our schools.
