A podcast for everything Marillion. Every two weeks I interview a fan of the band from pretty much anywhere in the world. We discuss why they love the band, their favourite song/album and many other questions.
This week I talk to Reece about his love for Marillion, how much like myself he was listening to them before he was born. We talk about how he saw them for the first time on tour during the Brave tour, how the first album he bought was anoraknophobia. Reece also discusses how he almost lost his new wife to Steve Hogarth at the most recent weekend in Leicester.
This week I speak to fantasic Richie tips, he explains his love for the band by telling me how he first heard an accoutic version of Easter on the Rock Steady Show back in the early 90s. He talks about how when he first heard Brave he wasnt overally impressed but fast forward a few years and the lyrics made more sense. He discusses how the lyrics to Berlin hit home as he was struggling with German GCSE. We also discuss how he did this years swap the band at PZ, how the nerves got the better of him but absolutley knocked it out of the park, the surreal moment of sitting the green room and having a beer and people coming in and offering him support. He also name drops a pretty big celebrity he has a claim of fame to.
The first episode of the new unoffical Marillion podcast, hightlighting the works of the Band Marillion one fan at a time. This week I chat to Graham who has been a fan since he was 15 years old starting off with listening to Garden Party. He tells us stories of seeing the band in Milton Keynes in 1986. We discuss how he has met the members be it walking to the back of the venue or almost running one of the members over in manchester. All can be heard here. Remeber to like and subscribe to us where ever listen to podcasts.
