#WeStandUp: Social Workers for Survivors of Sexual Assault is our campaign for April's Sexual Assault Awareness Month. In this podcast, a survivor shares her story and the impact that a social worker had on her process of healing. Annie, a childhood sexual abuse survivor, gives her experience of finding the support she needed. We also speak with Josie Torielli, a licensed clinical social worker from the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault who guides Annie through her story and provides advice for social workers on supporting survivors of assault.

Refugees and asylees leave behind everything in order to create a new life. Many arrive hopeless and need the encouragement of social workers to get back on their feet.
