Poslušalka je vprašala, če citronsko kislino pri pripravi pijače iz bezga lahko nadomesti s čim drugim, ker ji za zdravje ne odgovarja. Sestra Nikolina ji je svetovala sok limone. Možno je uporabiti tudi vinsko kislino, a bo okus nekoliko drugačen. Tretja možnost je pomarančni sok ali prašek za pomarančni napitek. Ena od poslušalk je spomnila, da so limone škropljene in zato je v lupini lahko tudi veliko kemikalij. Sestra Nikolina je zato svetovala, da se dobro operejo v vodi z dodatkom sode bikarbone ali pa se jih olupi.

Slivovka je pijača, ki je, kot trdi dr. Jernej Mlekuž, zaznamovala prostor nekdanje Jugoslavije in razmišlja: kaj, če se zgodovina naroda ne skriva v ustavah, vladavinah, patriotizmu, govorih, vojnah in mejah, ampak v enem samem samcatem kozarčku? Tokrat pogled v kozarec slivovke – in skozi njega razkriva zgodbo Jugoslavije in sveta po njej. V zelo razširjenem alkoholu izvemo več o družbi, ki se v njem zrcali. Slivovka tu ni rekvizit, ampak glavna figura: tekoča priča časa, ki povezuje spomine, razpoke in vsakdan. A ta zgodba ima tudi temnejšo plat. Časopisni zapisi govorijo o razširjenem pijančevanju, ki zajame podeželje in mesta, vlake in ceste, vojašnice in nedeljske večere. Alkohol postane del vsakdanjika, njegove posledice pa segajo od nasilja do polnih bolnišnic. Slivovka tako ni le tolažba ali navada, ampak simbol širših družbenih napetosti. Je hkrati vezivo in razdiralec, most in prepad. Lahko povezuje ljudi in hkrati razkriva njihove razlike. Slivovka je preživela režime, meje in vojne ter ostala stalnica prostora, ki se je nenehno spreminjal. Na rednem spomladanskem srečanju narodnih voditeljev Jezuitskega združenja za begunce JRS v Evropi, ki je potekalo v Madridu v Španiji, so govorili o stanju in delu jezuitov v Evropi, o sodelovanju z laiki ter o njihovi identiteti. Poudarjen je bil pomen sodelovanja med jezuiti in laiki. Večino časa so posvetili različnim projektov, ki trenutno potekajo v Madridu in po Evropi. Najpomembnejši projekt je pomoč beguncem v Ukrajini in ukrajinskem beguncem po Evropi. Letos bo tudi kampanja za trpeče v Ukrajini z naslovom »One proposal oziroma Ena pobuda. Evropska unija je sprejela zakonodajo, ki naj bi ščitila uporabnice in uporabnike pred škodljivimi in nezakonitimi praksami spletnih gigantov. Vendar v Bruslju trenutno pripravljajo spremembe, ki naj bi to regulacijo omilili. Zakaj zdaj te spremembe? Ena od svežih stvari, ki jih je pomladi že prenesla, je pehtran. Lahko ga uporabimo pri pripravi kuhanih ali pečenih štrukljev ter potice, je povedala sestra Nikolina. Za slednjo naredimo dobro kvašeno testo, zelo mehko, prijetno, dobro zabeljeno. Razvaljeno testo lahko samo bogato potresemo z narezanim pehtranom in z rozinami, ki smo jih dobro namočili v rum. To zavijemo, preložimo v modele, nabodemo in vzhajamo eno uro. Nato namažemo z jajcem, damo v ogreto pečico (180 stopinj Celzija) in pečemo dobre ¾ ure. Lahko pa naredimo bolj bogato potico, tako da razvaljano najprej namažemo s skutinim namazom in nato šele potresemo pehtran in rozine. Lahko naredimo tudi štrukeljce, ki naj ne bodo predebeli, dolgi od 8 do 10 cm. Razrežemo jih lahko s koleščkom, nalagamo na peki papir in nabodemo z dvorogelno vilico. Vzhajajo naj vsaj pol ure, nato jih pomažemo in nato spečemo (v pol ure). Še ena možnost je: namazan zvitek narežemo in dobimo osja gnezda, ki jih prav tako spečemo v pol ure.

Kako se lahko spletajo različne interpretacije ene hiše, ki je že dolgo časa ni več. Ena takih stavb je džamiji, ki jo je leta 1917 postavila avstro-ogrska vojska v Logu pod Mangartom za bosanske čete nekdanjega avstroogrskega imperija, ki so se borile na Soški fronti. Džamije ni več, ostal je le še zelen travnik, ki razkriva marsikaj. Ta sled nevidne hiše, džamije v Logu pod Mangartom je dobila zvočno podobo, slišno zgodbo, ki je zapolnila slovenski pavilion na Beneškem bienalu umetnosti. Projekt so zasnovali člani Nonument Group, pod kuratorskim vodstom Nataša Petrešin Bachelez in ga poimenovali Zvočna sled nevidne hiše. Miloš Kosec: »Bistvo paviliona je zvok, so zgodbe, govorimo o mnogozvočju. Intervjuvali smo veliko lokalnih prebivalcev, pripadnike islamske skupnosti v Sloveniji, raziskovalce, ki so se dolgo časa ukvarjali s tem območjem, intervjuvali smo arheologa, ki je izkopaval to prizorišče in iz vsega tega spletli neko pripoved o pripovedih o džamiji.« Člani Nonument Group, ki nas zastopajo na 61.beneškem bienalu umetnosti s projektom Zvočna sled nevidne hiše so: umetnica Neja Tomšič in umetnik Martin Bricelj Baraga ter arhitekta Nika Grabar in Miloš Kosec.

Ena od bolj vročih tem letošnje mednarodne politike je tudi izbira novega generalnega sekretarja Organizacije združenih narodov, saj dosedanjemu s koncem leta poteče mandat. O tem, kako se izbira novega, kakšne naj bi bile njegove ali njene kvalifikacije in kako se spreminja vloga Svetovne organizacije v svetu, se je Marjan Vešligaj pogovarjal z nekdanjim predsednikom države in nekoč kandidatom za to najvišjo mednarodno funkcijo profesorjem Danilom Türkom.

V več vaseh Nadiških dolin v Benečiji v Italiji bodo ob godu svetega Marka, ki bo to soboto, 25. aprila, potekale procesije. Te se vijejo ob poljih, čez travnike in skozi gozdove s prošnjo Bogu za dobro letino in varstvo pred naravnimi nesrečami in boleznimi. Med procesijo se pojejo litanije vseh svetnikov ali pa se moli rožni venec, na koncu je sveta maša v cerkvi. To soboto ob 8h se bo procesija začela v Tarčmunu, petnajst minut kasneje v vasi Matajur, nato še v Marseu, sledile bodo še druge vasi. Ena od prošenj je povezana tudi s obvarovanjem pred potresom. Letos mineva pol stoletja od katastrofalnega potresa, ki je maja in septembra leta 1976 prizadel Furlanijo. Da bi lepa tradicija Markovih procesih ne šla v pozabo, je združenje Blankin pred časom pripravilo dokumentarni film in knjižico Obredi, ki jih opravljajo v cerkvi Svetega Janeza Krstnika na Tarčmunu.

Slovenska pokrajina, mesta in vasi v sebi nosijo raznovrstno tradicijo, zgodovino in običaje. Spoštovanje do vseh teh posebnosti in oplemenitenje teh lahko sloni le na posameznikih, ki znajo prisluhniti, ceniti in dograjevati. Ena takih je gotovo Andreja Škrabec. Priselila se je v Hrovačo, na ribniški konec, kjer je lahko razprla krila v kulturi v širšem pomenu besede.

On episode 528 of The Nurse Keith Show nursing and healthcare career podcast, in recognition of World Mental Health Day, Keith interviews Kristen Gilmore, the Program Manager for Nurse Well-Being at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. In the course of their conversation, Keith discusses with Kristen her experience as a leader whose sole responsibility is to foster an environment and culture where the mental health of nurses is truly a top priority. The program that Kristen oversees is funded by a generous endowment supported by a $7 million grant made possible through the stewardship of Jefferson's Board of Trustees. This program could serve as a blueprint for healthcare institutions looking for an example of how to move beyond platitudes and lip service towards meaningful interventions with nurses' best interests in mind. Kristen is a registered nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and serves as the inaugural Program Manager for Nurse Well-Being, supporting the Jefferson Bucks, Frankford, Einstein Montgomery, and Torresdale campuses. Prior to this role, she held multiple nursing leadership positions and provided direct care in emergency medicine, where she developed a deep commitment to clinician well-being. A graduate of Holy Family University and Walden University, Kristen has consistently championed the well-being of both her colleagues and the nursing profession as a whole. She currently serves as President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) and chairs the ENA's National Wellness Committee. A Certified SMART (Stress Management and Resiliency Training) Practitioner, Kristen delivers evidence-based well-being education across the Jefferson Health System. Her speaking engagements include presentations for the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing, the Emergency Nurses Association, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of AACN, the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association and the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
