Acaba de participar en el drama de época producido por TVE en España, “Ena”, una miniserie biográfica sobre la esposa inglesa del rey Alfonso XIII. Además de actuar, Gill trabaja como artista de voz, prestando la misma a anuncios, doblaje, videojuegos, dibujos animados, videos corporativos, y documentales. Formó parte del Coro de Actores de Madrid, durante casi 15 años.

V knjigi Druga življenja je štirinajst zgodb, ki vsaka po svoje pričajo o mejni situaciji, ko se človek sooča z razpotjem, z iluzijo, da bi življenje začel znova na drugačen način, z drugim izhodiščem. Slednje je seveda zgolj psihološka zanka, saj nekako vemo, da ima človek zgolj eno možnost, niti ponovitvena varianta mu ne pripada. Mazzini se poigrava s točko preloma, točko nič, krizno situacijo slehernika, ko se zdi, da nastopi pravšnji trenutek za resetiranje obstoječega stanja. Ob tem se, seveda ne brez sarkazma, nasloni na sodobno neoliberalno družbo, ki ponuja vedno nove in nove začetke, nove poti in izbire. Potrošniška miselnost, da lahko samega sebe nastavimo na novo, resetiramo in preklopimo v drugačno bivanjsko shemo, je vedno uglašena tudi s kakšno ponudbo, ki to omogoča; človek je objekt na tržišču, nenehno se mu ponujajo nove možnosti in poti, vse pa je samo puhlo in votlo preigravanje novih navideznih izbir. Pojavnost tu-biti je neusmiljena danost. V prvi zgodbi Apokalipsa, smo priče koncu sveta, čeprav še tik pred tem v junaku vznikne ideja o novem začetku z Renato, s katero je očitno prekinil zvezo. V trenutku, ko nebo ožarčijo balistične rakete, in svetu ostane še nekaj minut do atomskega konca, si zaželi novega začetka, nemara obnovitev ljubezenske zveze na drugačnih temeljih. No, ker se v zadnjem prizoru galeb ustavi na mestu, "pribit ob nebo kot Jezus na križ", mu ostane le še veličina trenutka, v katerem ni ničesar več, niti preteklosti niti prihodnosti, in je prag med tu in zdaj, od nič do nič, edina realnost. Uvodna prilika nekako začrta vse nadaljne. V zgodbi Dojka, na primer, se junakinja sreča s sošolcem, ki ga je na ponesrečenem gimnazijskem žuru izrabila kot protiutež za neuspešen lov na ciljnega fanta, ki ji je takrat pobegnil z drugo. Sedaj, ko ga sreča v bifeju in sta oba odrasla, že skoraj neprepoznavno drugačna, se v njej obe situaciji zlijeta v en sam hip: poniglavo zapeljevanje fanta, ki ni bil takrat nikomur zanimiv in je bil deležen pozornosti zgolj iz razočaranja obupane najstnice, in sedanje stanje, ko je njena dojka tik pred amputacijo. Sklepamo, seveda, da gre za rakotvorne bule v tkivu, ki bo kmalu postalo njen "nejaz", odrezana gmota mesa, ki ne bo več njena last. Tisti fant, v mladosti, kot že rečeno, nezaželen dolgočasnež brez erosa, je zdaj zgleden možakar, nenadoma celo po svoje privlačen, vsekakor pa izhaja iz zgodbe, ko so njene dojke še polno služile svojemu namenu. Čudna situacija. Ko se prepoznata, spregovorita nekaj fraz, in skoraj zanihata v preteklost. S tem bi nemara presenetila, zaobšla trenutno bolezensko stanje, ker bi se čas odvrtel nazaj, na začetek, a nič od tega se ne zgodi. Spet smo priče trenutku, ki bi bil nemara drugačen, če bi se zadeva nekoč odvijala po drugih kanalih, na drugih ravneh. Ena najbolj pretresljivih zgodb ima naslov Vsa ta izgubljena leta. Tu je človek, ki sodi v kategorijo manj nadarjenih, preprostih ljudi. Že ob koncu osnovne šole mu je bila ponujena kariera smetarja. Kmetija, s katere je izhajal, je propadla, mati in oče sta jo "popila do zadnjega zidaka", tako da je po šoli najprej kolovratil po ulicah, jedel v zavetiščih in ljudskih kuhinjah, ko pa je dosegel primerno starost, se je res zaposlil kot smetar. Tu se zgodba šele začne. Pred nami je ranjena duša, med vrsticami izvemo, da je bil na hitro poročen in še hitreje ločen, vmes pa je ostalo hrepenenje po hčerki, ki jo je žena seveda vzela s sabo. Pervertiranost njegovih umsko-čutnih prerekanj s svetom, v katerega je padel, se rodi v njegovi percepciji in v nenavadnem odnosu do smeti, ki jih ima za nekakšne odvržene spomine, organe človeštva in njegovih (tudi svojih) izgubljenih let. Takole beremo: "Ob smetnjaku sem videl ležati kačji lev. Njegova površina je spominjala na organe, ki sem jih zadnje leto in pol iskal po smeteh. To je življenje, ki je bilo, pomislim, a postalo je preozko in iz njega je izstopilo novo življenje in odšlo. Mar sem prisluškoval sledem starih življenj? Nečemu, kar je bilo in je odšlo? Mar potem obstajajo tudi ljudje, ki se nikoli ne levijo, ostajajo ujeti v minulem, zastrupljeni sami s sabo, dokler ne končajo v krematoriju, v oblaku, ki uide skozi dimnik, in kjer spominov ni mogoče ločiti od pepela." Konča se z najhujšo možno grozoto, ki jo lahko doživi smetar – s soočenjem z mrtvim dojenčkom v smetnjaku in "z obupom matere, ki diha sovraštvo in samoto v prazno vesolje odvženega kamna." V tem ritmu teče vsa knjiga Druga življenja. Včasih so zgodbe zapletene do te mere, da je treba preveriti dejstva za nazaj, če oko prehitro drsi skozi bravurozne in duhovite povedi. Mazzini je mojster zapletanja, tako jezikovnega, kot vsebinskega, zgodbe pa so pogosto odprte za več razlag. Edina skupna točka je, da se v vseh sprašuje o mejnih identitetah, o mejah, ki niso vedno uglašene s pričakovanji in niso del predvidljivega, načrtno uravnavanega sveta. Nasprotno, raje se naslanja na psihologijo, na krizo identitete našega časa, kjer kraljujejo izpraznjenost in kjer izjemnost biti nadomešča poenostavljena struktura moderne površnosti, zamenljivosti, ponudbe, ki nenehna razglaša nove začetke in nove identitete. Kot bi padli iz duhovnega sveta v dišeče okolje megamarketa, iz polnosti narave v popolnost trgovine z dušami. Realizem, ki ga Mazzini podaja skozi svojo literaturo, je eksistencialne narave, je nemara še zadnji opomnik, da odrešitve in drugega življenja ni mogoče kupiti na tržnici niti ne naročiti po spletu, saj pravo življenje teče le tu in zdaj.

 Mecenas Bartosz Lewandowski, pełnomocnik byłego ministra sprawiedliwości Zbigniewa Ziobry poinforował w poniedziałek, że jego klient uzyskał ochronę międzynarodową i azyl polityczny na Węgrzech w związku z naruszeniami praw i wolności gwarantowanych prawem międzynarodowym na terytorium Polski.Azyl został przyznany przez rząd węgierski na podstawie ustawy o prawie do azylu z 2007 roku, w związku z działaniami prokuratury i służb podległych rządowi, które – jak wskazuje pełnomocnik – nosiły znamiona politycznie motywowanych represji, w tym zapowiadane unieważnienie paszportów oraz pozbawienie środków do życia w wyniku zabezpieczenia majątkowego.W rozmowie na antenie Radia Wnet dr Michał Sopiński – prawnik, doktor nauk prawnych i rektor Akademii Sprawiedliwości – przedstawił szczegółową analizę prawną tej decyzji oraz jej konsekwencji dla polskiego wymiaru sprawiedliwości.Ochrona międzynarodowa wobec byłego ministra sprawiedliwości została już udzielona. Mamy oficjalną notę dyplomatyczną rządu węgierskiego skierowaną do Parlamentu Europejskiego, że taka ochrona została przyznana jeszcze w grudniu– wskazał.  Jak tłumaczył Sopiński, azyl – a precyzyjniej ochrona międzynarodowa – opiera się na węgierskiej ustawie o prawie do azylu z 2007 roku, podobnej do regulacji obowiązujących w innych państwach UE.Dlaczego areszt może okazać się nieskutecznyZdaniem prawnika nawet ewentualna decyzja polskiego sądu o tymczasowym aresztowaniu Ziobry nie przełoży się na jego zatrzymanie.Nawet jeśli sąd zdecyduje o trzymiesięcznym areszcie, nie będzie się dało pana Zbigniewa Ziobry aresztować, bo przebywa na Węgrzech– dodał.Kolejnym krokiem formalnym byłby Europejski Nakaz Aresztowania, jednak – jak zauważa Sopiński – i tu sprawa nie jest oczywista.Sędzią orzekającym w sprawach ENA jest sędzia Dariusz Łubowski, jedyny w Polsce specjalista w tej dziedzinie. Już widzieliśmy, jaki jest jego pogląd na te kwestie– wskazał.Nawet w przypadku wydania ENA ostateczna decyzja należałaby do sądu węgierskiego.Państwo węgierskie przeprowadzi własną procedurę i bardzo możliwe, że – jak w innych podobnych sprawach – odmówi wydania, wskazując na upolitycznienie postępowania– powiedział.Po co był azyl?Na pytanie, dlaczego Ziobro zdecydował się na wyjazd na Węgry, Sopiński odpowiadał jednoznacznie:„Żeby złożyć wniosek o azyl i ochronę międzynarodową, trzeba pojawić się na terytorium danego państwa. Bez pobytu na Węgrzech nie mógłby takiego wniosku złożyć”.Azyl – w jego ocenie – zmienia całą logikę postępowania prowadzonego w Polsce.Budowanie spirali represji wobec kogoś, kto i tak jest nieuchwytny i ma status uchodźcy politycznego, nie jest skuteczną metodą polityczną. To raczej droga do własnego ośmieszenia– powiedział.Sądy pod presją politycznąW dalszej części rozmowy dr Sopiński szeroko mówił o stanie polskiego sądownictwa.Prawo do sądu obowiązuje dziś w różnym stopniu – w zależności od tego, kogo dotyczy sprawa– mówił. Jego zdaniem ostatnie lata pokazały wyraźne upolitycznienie prokuratury i sądów w sprawach dotyczących polityków.„Gdy sprawa dotyczy byłego ministra, premiera czy prezesa dużej spółki, pojawiają się ogromne naciski – z centrali rządowej i z Ministerstwa Sprawiedliwości.”Przywołał konkretne przykłady selektywnego stosowania aresztów.Osoby skazane nieprawomocnie na wielomiesięczne kary pozostają na wolności, a wobec osób, którym dopiero stawia się zarzuty, stosuje się wielomiesięczne areszty wydobywcze– zwrócił uwagę.Zdaniem Sopińskiego najpoważniejszym problemem jest dziś załamanie zasady pewności prawa.Prawo albo obowiązuje, albo nie obowiązuje. Jeśli działa wybiórczo, podważa swoją podstawową wartość– powiedział.W jego ocenie obecna sytuacja oznacza historyczny regres.„Cofnęliśmy się w praktyce ochrony prawnej do czasów sprzed przywileju ‘neminem captivabimus'. Ena najbolj kontroverznih knjig, kadarkoli napisanih v srbščini, se skoraj 60 let po nastanku kaže kot nadvse aktualna in pronicljiva analiza tiste zaplankane in bojazljive mentalitete, ki ničesar ne ljubi bolj od uravnilovke, homogenosti in brezpogojne pripadnosti domačemu plemenuČlovek bi si mislil, da knjiga, ki ima že v naslovu tako zastrašujočo besedo, kot je »filozofija«, ne more računati na prav številno bralstvo. Toda Filozofija majhnega kraja, ki jo je leta 1969 objavil srbski pisec Radomir Konstantinović, lani pa je pri založbi Beletrina, zahvaljujoč prevajalskim naporom Đurđe Strsoglavec, izšla še v slovenščini, že vse od izida buri duhove in sproža precej žolčne polemike, v katere se še zdaleč ne zapletajo le filozofi in filozofinje. V Srbiji, na primer, velja za eno najbolj kontroverznih in subverzivnih knjig, kadarkoli napisanih v srbščini, in ne manjka bralk in bralcev, ki so trdno prepričani, da tamkajšnje novejše zgodovine s Slobodanom Miloševićem na čelu sploh ni mogoče razumeti, ne da bi razumeli, kaj je Radomir Konstantinović že ob koncu 60. let napisal v Filozofiji majhnega kraja. Je pa k temu treba dodati, da problemski horizonti, ki se ob tem delu odpirajo, slej ko prej niso zamejeni z mejami Srbije oziroma srbstva. O čem torej govori Filozofija majhnega kraja? Kaj natanko je ta majhni kraj, ki ga skuša Konstantinović tu opredeliti? Kako je mogoče, da se v njegovi analizi še danes, skoraj šest desetletij pozneje, prepoznavajo bralke in bralci z različnih koncev nekdanje Jugoslavije? Ali Filozofija majhnega kraja lahko nagovori tudi nas v Sloveniji, ki smo se sicer že pred dolgimi leti navadili o sebi samovšečno misliti, da smo vendarle bistveno drugačni – nekako boljši – od drugih južnoslovanskih narodov? – V iskanju odgovorov na ta in druga sorodna vprašanja smo se v tokratnem Sobotnem branju napotili do novinarke in literarne kritičarke Hane Samec Sekereš, ki je o Filozofiji majhnega kraja pred nedavnim pronicljivo pisala za revijo Literatura. On episode 528 of The Nurse Keith Show nursing and healthcare career podcast, in recognition of World Mental Health Day, Keith interviews Kristen Gilmore, the Program Manager for Nurse Well-Being at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. In the course of their conversation, Keith discusses with Kristen her experience as a leader whose sole responsibility is to foster an environment and culture where the mental health of nurses is truly a top priority. The program that Kristen oversees is funded by a generous endowment supported by a $7 million grant made possible through the stewardship of Jefferson's Board of Trustees. This program could serve as a blueprint for healthcare institutions looking for an example of how to move beyond platitudes and lip service towards meaningful interventions with nurses' best interests in mind. Kristen is a registered nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and serves as the inaugural Program Manager for Nurse Well-Being, supporting the Jefferson Bucks, Frankford, Einstein Montgomery, and Torresdale campuses. Prior to this role, she held multiple nursing leadership positions and provided direct care in emergency medicine, where she developed a deep commitment to clinician well-being. A graduate of Holy Family University and Walden University, Kristen has consistently championed the well-being of both her colleagues and the nursing profession as a whole. She currently serves as President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) and chairs the ENA's National Wellness Committee. A Certified SMART (Stress Management and Resiliency Training) Practitioner, Kristen delivers evidence-based well-being education across the Jefferson Health System. Her speaking engagements include presentations for the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing, the Emergency Nurses Association, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of AACN, the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association and the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
