berni m janssen, a text artist, performer, Creative Director and facilitator, has been making art for more than 40 years, both independently and in collaboration with musicians, performers, writers, composers and visual artists from diverse communities.  She has been an artsworker, artist-in-residence, workshop facilitator and mentor. Her work appears in books, anthologies, magazines and online, and has been performed on radio and at festivals around the world. James Hullick, CEO and Director of Hullick Studios and JOLT Arts, has described her as "one of the great Australian performance text artists". She lives in Dja Dja Wurrung Country in the Central Highlands of Victoria. ENA was created for the JOLT 2022 Artistic Program and has had three seasons of liveperformance, including at the 2023 Sonic Poetry Festival. This broadcast features a live recording of the first half of Movement 1 ENA, Speak Bitterness, recorded at JOLTED Artspace in October 2022.Drawing on women's experiences across decades, ENA uses poetic assemblage to explore the past, the ways it continues to shape the present, and the patterns that remain to be challenged. Vi träffades i hans mottagningsrum, inte olikt hur man i väst kan sitta hos en terapeut eller analytiker några dagar i veckan. Helt opåkallat, som jag minns det, berättar han för mig om en meditativ praktik där man får kunskap om sin framtida död, inklusive, om inte dödsdatum, så i alla fall dödsår.Jag ska snart berätta hur man gör, så om du som lyssnar inte vill utsätta dig för frestelsen att få reda på saker om din framtida död, bör du stänga av radion nu.Gurun sade: ställ dig utomhus med ryggen mot solen och slut ögonen, andas, stå så i minst tjugofyra minuter, vänd dig om och öppna ögonen mot solen, blunda igen: i den efterbild som uppstår bakom dina ögonlock får du kunskap om när du ska dö.Som god västerlänning skolad i upplysningens tradition (upplysning betyder som bekant något annat i Indien, Nirvana snarare än fortsatt affektfri reflexion) tvivlade jag på hans ord. Men eftersom jag lärt mig att man ska tvivla också på sina tvivel, övervägde jag att pröva, för att, förhoppningsvis, kunna vederlägga metoden. Men om det inte gick, om jag faktiskt skulle få kunskap om min dödsdag genom att stå där i solen och andas. Jag vågade inte prova. Då. Och inte nu heller. Jag vill inte veta.Det vill inte passagerarna i flygplanet i Liane Moriartys bästsäljande roman Ena stunden här heller. En äldre dam reser sig plötsligt upp i planet, pekar på sina medpassagerare, en efter en, och säger sådant som ”Jag förväntar mig hjärtfel, 84 års ålder.” Eller: ”Arbetsplatsolycka. 43 års ålder.” Leo, som får den senare förutsägelsen, ska snart fylla 43, men fäster, enligt berättaren, lika lite avseende vid profetian som vid en lyckokaka eller ett horoskop. Men han känner ändå ”en liten stöt”, som ska växa sig starkare.Det är förstås skillnad på att få veta att man ska dö om trettio år eller tre månader. I ena änden tänker jag mig fullständig panik, i den andra fortsatt prokrastinering av dödsförberedelserna, ännu inte dags att börja dödsstäda och gå i kyrkan, fast ändå bra att var lite förberedd. Just dödstädning ser jag som ett sunt sätt att förbereda sig: du får kontakt med ditt förflutna genom att slänga sådant du samlat på dig, och lär dig samtidigt acceptera tanken att det till slut är den din egen avlagda kropp som ska brinna eller grävas ner. Frågan är förstås när man ska börja. När man redan fått sitt cancerbesked eller innan? Hur långt innan? Inte redan i fyrtioårsåldern väl? Jo, men kanske. Om man vet att man ska dö vid fyrtiotre.Jag tror inte min guru i Bangalore var särskilt upptagen av döden. Han berättade om metoden att nå kunskap om den nästan som ett partytrick. Om det är nåt man vill ha kunskap om som dedicerad hindu, så är hur många återfödslar man har kvar. Idealet är förstås noll. Jag träffade en gång i skräddare i Kolkata som hade räknat ut att han kunde bli av med över sexhundra återfödslar om han inte sov, utan mediterade hela nätterna. På dagarna var han ju tvungen att jobba. Han var rödögd och såg sliten ut. Hans vilja till optimering av sin andliga status påminner om en inverterad version av de där tech-miljardärernas försök att undvika åldrande genom att bland annat injicera sin barns blodplasma. Samma besatthet, olika mål. För tech-miljardärerna handlar det om att optimera sin kropp som biologisk förutsägbar massa, och i motsvarande grad, tycks det, minimera det vi kallar själ. Idealet tycks vara paradisets lallande dåre med låg vilopuls och aktieportfölj. Skräddaren i Kolkata skulle ha betraktat dem som barbarer.Han skulle möjligen haft lite större förståelse för en av 1400-talets bästsäljande böcker, Ars moriendi, alltså Döendets konst, en bilderbok tillika handbok i konsten att dö, ibland med text av den franske teologen Jean Gerson, ibland av anonyma munkar inspirerade av Gerson. Här är kroppen en bisak och själen allt. Eller mer specifikt: själens löfte till Gud att dö ”gott, glatt och frivilligt.” som det står på ett ställe. Ars Moriendi är egentligen inte en bok, snarare en på den tiden populär genre. De olika utgåvorna innehåller reproduktioner av kända träsnitt, ofta färglagda, föreställande olika män på dödsbädden, aldrig en kvinna, och runt bädden representanter för de bägge krafter som strider om hans själ: djävulens anhang å ena sidan, änglar och helgon å den andra. Relationen framställs som närmast kontraktuell, juristen var en yrkeskategori på modet. I kontraktet, som ofta finns avbildat, ibland lite hånfullt förevisat av en smådjävul, ingår förstås att man dör när Gud så vill, att försöka ta reda på tidpunkt vore högmod och en säker biljett till helvetet.I den norske poeten Georg Johannesens egenartade diktsamling från 1965 med samma titel, alltså Ars Moriendi, är döendets konst speglad i de sju dödssynderna, vilka förstås var centrala även i originalet från 1400-talet. Men här är det upp till läsaren om hen vill uppfatta synderna som framtida dödsorsaker att försöka undvika eller oundvikliga existentiella villkor. Eller både och. Rätt många dikter handlar på olika sätt om tid. Till exempel den där en son säger till sin far i den avslutande strofen: I din historia är jag en kort historiaI vår historia är jag ett knappt århundradeI min historia är jag all tid som finns Dikten återfinns i avdelningen ägnad kardinalsynden Girighet. Sista radens påstående – I min historia är jag all tid som finns – kan framstå som ett uttryck för girighet, eller kanske inskränkthet, men också faktiskt ett slags andlig strävan.Man brukar säga att när sekulariseringen stängde portarna till himmel och helvete blev historien ett slags halvgud, tydligast kanske i den tyske filosofen Hegels tankar om en så kallad världsande, som utvecklades från sämre till bättre i en dialektisk process. Den överblick över människans strävanden på jorden som tidigare tillerkändes prästerskapet blev nu historikerna av skråets bord. Hegel var långt ifrån ensam om att tänka att historien hade ett slags gudomlig mening.Något som slår många som passerat femtio, och alltså har levt ett halvt sekel, är att ett sekel inte låter som en så oerhört lång tidsrymd längre, man har ju själv levt ett halvt, och det gick på ett kick. Efter femtio, i mitt fall dröjde det till närmare sextio, är det som att man får en helt ny känslomässig relation till historien, eftersom man själv är ett stycke historia. Murens fall, de jugoslaviska krigen, oljekrisen 74: jag levde då. Andra världskriget: bara femton år innan jag föddes. Femton år. Det är ingenting. Så där kan man hålla på. Till slut känns punken och franska revolutionen nästan samtida. ”I min historia är jag all tid som finns.” säger sonen i Georg Johannesen dikt. Kanske är det det som är Nirvana, att känna sig hemma i alla tider. Jag är inte där än, men redan nu framstår den där hemkänslan i historien, som en helt okej kompensation för att vara lite stel i kroppen och inte kunna stå på händer längre. Men än så länge kan jag stå upp i tjugofyra minuter, med slutna ögon och ryggen mot solen.Lars Hermanssonkritiker och författare.

Ena dagen känns det som att en eldriven van är det enda försvarbara om vi vill fortsätta med vanlife. Andra dagen hotas Annas släktgård i Oviken av en tilltänkt gruva som ska förse den gröna omställningen med sällsynta jordartsmetaller. För att få någon form av klarhet i frågan om el- vs fossildrivet vanlife, vände vi oss till den grävande journalisten och författaren Arne Müller som bland annat har granskat industriell omvandling, energi- och klimatpolitik samt gruvnäringen. Vanlife Sverige produceras av Isabel Waite på Far åt skogen produktion AB och den här säsongen har vi även med oss Anna Rönnberg som är gymnasielärare i Idrott och hälsa - och inbiten vanlifer. Musiken i podden är skapad av Scott Holmes. Vmes pa črnina, črnina nekje med sajami in nočjo, kakršna je značilna za knjižno zbirko Črna skrinjica. V njej naj bi izhajale pesmi, ki pri drugih založbah iz različnih razlogov niso objavljive. Naslednji razlog za nastanek knjižne zbirke je način predstavitve knjig: Literarno društvo IA, ki ga vodi Dejan Koban, za predstavitve uporablja kar najrazličnejše pristope, kot so koncerti, plesni vložki in podobno. Najbolj pogost razlog za objavo v tej zbirki pa je, da takšne pesmi niso tržno naravnane, kar pa je nekoliko majav razlog, saj je produkcija pesniških zbirk presegla vsa pričakovanja, in trg pesniških zbirk pač ni tisti trg, ki bi zadeve reguliral. In prav pristajanje na netržnost poezije je adut Literarnega društva IA. Adut zbirke Črna skrinjica je tudi enotnost pri oblikovanju, ki je črna barva knjižnih platnic, vmesnih strani in črk, ter bledo rumenkasta barva opesnjenih strani v knjigi. Obe barvi delujeta dokaj mrliško. Povedano drugače: kaj le lahko skriva črna skrinjica oziroma kaj se le lahko pojavi med takšnima knjižnima platnicama? V primeru pesniške zbirke Iris Vinski je dualnost knjižne opreme še poudarjena z naslovom, ki je polaren: da, ne. In tu se pojavi še vprašanje vmesnosti: kaj je med da in ne? Funkcionalen odgovor bo navedek iz pesnitve z naslovom tovarna lukenj in razpok, katere tretji del se glasi: »morda bi morala postati zlobotrebec.« Izpostavljena pesnitev je ključna za doumetje zbirke da ne. Pesmi v zbirki ne sledijo ustaljeni izrazni obliki, ki naj bi bila sestavljena iz določenega števila kitic, zlogov, rim oziroma ustaljenega vzorca. Pesmi v tej zbirki so nametanke. Nametanke v smislu jezika, saj se v njej poleg knjižne slovenščine pojavljajo še druge oblike govornega izraza, kot so narečje, sleng, tujke in podobno, ter nametanke v smislu likovnega izraza, saj prehajajo v oblike tako imenovane konkretne poezije, v kateri videz pesmi oplemeniti njeno vsebino. Iris Vinski je v svojo prvenko združila usmeritve založbe oziroma literarnega društva. Je namreč tudi pevka pri skupini Tremor, ki poleg osnovnega punk-rokovskega izhodišča izvaja tudi druge zvrsti popularne glasbe. Njeno knjižno prvenko bi lahko označili z besedo hibridnost, kar v tem primeru pomeni, da je v teh pesmih vsakega po malo. Razdrobljenost v vsakršnem smislu je prednost, ki učinkovito deluje v povezavi z že omenjenimi možnostmi predstavitve pesmi, a za knjižno branje je takšen izpis pesmi moteč. Toda motnja ni slabost. Motnja je opozorilo. Motnja je tisto pojmovno polje, ki je določeno med besedicama da in ne. Verzi, ki se pnejo in padajo med vodoravnimi stihi, verzi, ki se pretirano ponavljajo, verzi, ki so razdrobljeni med rumenkasto obarvane strani, so verzi popularne kulture, ki ne prisega na enovitost izraza. Tako izpisane pesmi opozarjajo na način govorjenja, ko se hoče v kar najkrajšem času povedati kar največ. In prihaja do motenj, do nekakšnih pomenskih sklopov, ko ni prav jasen pomen, sporočilo. Ena od oznak za take pesmi bi bila tudi frfotave pesmi, kar naj ponazorita vodoravna verza iz pesnitve z naslovom organizatorka: več od glave ne morem odpreti, / pokopljite jo na pokopališču školjk. Zbirka Iris Vinski da ne se sklene s kar petimi zahvalami ženskam, ki so tehtno pripomogle, da je izraz pesmi divjost, nekonvencionalnost in predvsem obetavnost, ki pa ni ekstremni feminizem.

Ustvarjalci so zaključevali snemanje druge sezone nadaljevanke Takšno je življenje. Kako nastajajo filmi in nadaljevanke verjetno ni kakšna posebej varovana skrivnost. Z nekaj kliki lahko na spletu pogledamo v zakulisje tudi največjih filmov. Težje pa je biti tam tudi prisoten. Razen, če ti to željo, kdo izpolni. Dvema dijakoma in dvema osnovnošolkama iz programa Botrstvo se je točno ta želja izpolnila.

Ena takih stavb je džamiji, ki jo je leta 1917 postavila avstro-ogrska vojska v Logu pod Mangartom za bosanske čete nekdanjega avstroogrskega imperija, ki so se borile na Soški fronti. Džamije ni več, ostal je le še zelen travnik, ki razkriva marsikaj. Ta sled nevidne hiše, džamije v Logu pod Mangartom je dobila zvočno podobo, slišno zgodbo, ki je zapolnila slovenski pavilion na Beneškem bienalu umetnosti. Projekt so zasnovali člani Nonument Group, pod kuratorskim vodstom Nataša Petrešin Bachelez in ga poimenovali Zvočna sled nevidne hiše. Miloš Kosec: »Bistvo paviliona je zvok, so zgodbe, govorimo o mnogozvočju. Intervjuvali smo veliko lokalnih prebivalcev, pripadnike islamske skupnosti v Sloveniji, raziskovalce, ki so se dolgo časa ukvarjali s tem območjem, intervjuvali smo arheologa, ki je izkopaval to prizorišče in iz vsega tega spletli neko pripoved o pripovedih o džamiji.« Člani Nonument Group, ki nas zastopajo na 61.beneškem bienalu umetnosti s projektom Zvočna sled nevidne hiše so: umetnica Neja Tomšič in umetnik Martin Bricelj Baraga ter arhitekta Nika Grabar in Miloš Kosec.
