How often do you hear people or churches talk about what God is doing - but all they really mention is things that they are doing? That was part of Job's problem, and we begin to see that on this edition of Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, as we explore chapters 11 and 12 of Job.

In the midst of this great suffering, Job was submitted to false accusations by his so-called friends. But Job is not one to let those accusations stand, he mounts his own defense. The question is, though, is Job right in his own assessment of his condition? In this short preview of Job chapter 9, we consider the question of: why is the book of Job part of our Bible?

Job's ordeal has brought him to the place where he wishes that he would die, and his friends have not been able to help him at all.

Eliphaz continues his response to Job. Through this exchange, we learn that the world - and even the church - offers us all kinds of methods, programs, activities, and amenities. They offer all kinds of answers and advice. We see an example of such things as Eliphaz responds to Job. But, as we will learn - none of these are what we need. Because what we need is God.

In this session, Job's friend Eliphaz is the first to answer him and through this, we find that quite often those who have had great experiences still do not have the right answers to our problems.

On this edition of Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, Job continues his lament, and as he does we find some insight to a very interesting question that concerns every one of us. But it's something that we need to get alone to take an inventory of: Are we trusting in people and things? Or are we trusting in God alone.

In this session, Satan is permitted to afflict Job's physical body. And, we see the real story of the book of Job begin with the arrival of his 3 friends!

Satan makes his accusation of Job, and God permits the devil to test Job by taking away all that he has!
