Which god is God? What is a human? What is sin? What is salvation? You may never have thought much about these questions. But the fact is, we all have a working version of the answers. Instead of speculating about who God is, Dr. Peter Mead invites us to begin with the claim that God has revealed Himself in Jesus. What kind of God emerges from that claim? Dr. Ahmed Joktan is a medical doctor who turned evangelist. His father is a mufti in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Once set to bring jihad to the world, he came to know Jesus Christ as Savior and wants to bring true peace in Jesus to Muslims and lost people everywhere. Five times he faced death, but God spared him so that he could tell Muslims and lost people worldwide about how Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Our other guest, Matthew Black, is a pastor who played a key role in the life of this Saudi physician.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Jase commits a legendary family group text faux pas that spirals into chaos, disbelief, and a full-on wager among Willie's kids. John Luke—and the rest of Willie's crew—start betting on whether Jase could really have written the message himself or if artificial intelligence had to be involved. The conversation asks if artificial intelligence can ever move with the Holy Spirit or if it's limited to imitation, no matter how impressive it sounds. Today's reading is a summation of what we have learned so far. Man is made for God, and we are born with a capacity for knowing God. Using our senses, listening to our consciences, and employing our gift of reason, we can know with certainty that God exists. Fr. Mike explains how we live freely only in communion with our Creator, even if we are limited in our capacity of comprehension. Knowing this compels us to share our faith in God with those who do not yet believe. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 44-49. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/ciy Please note: The Catechism of the Catholic Church contains adult themes that may not be suitable for children - parental discretion is advised.
What happens when God opens a door that makes absolutely no sense—and you feel peace anyway? Candace sits down with Madi to kick off a brand-new season centered on living an honest life. The conversation begins with the surprising story of how Madi ended up on The Bachelor without ever applying, then moves into the deeper heart of the season: trading performance for a genuine relationship with Jesus, deciding convictions before pressure hits, and discovering why truth and freedom are inseparably linked. Madi reflects on living under intense scrutiny, staying grounded in faith through isolation and trauma, and why her book Dare to Be True focuses not just on getting free—but staying free. The episode closes with a listener question from Tori about being married to a non-believer and how to respond with wisdom, humility, and Christlike conduct. Discernment is becoming harder to practice in a world saturated with constant noise and endless opinions. Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar examine how digital overload, social media, and frictionless interactions have created a discipleship problem where believers are shaped more by algorithms than by Scripture. The guys explain that discernment is not just knowing right from wrong, but recognizing truth from almost truth, and that deception often works by dulling awe and distracting hearts from God's presence. They emphasize the need for genuine relationships, slow reading, and meditation on God's word as the antidote to shallow knowledge and spiritual confusion. The guys also warn that truth mixed with error can be more dangerous than outright lies, making daily engagement with Scripture essential. Ultimately, the guys call listeners to let Scripture become their filter, to learn the voice of the Shepherd, and to stay rooted in Christ amid a distracted and noisy age.Send us a textThanks for listening! This week, we tackle the biggest faith questions young adults are asking right now (according to the recent Passion Conference) — from evidence for God's existence and the tension between free will and predestination, to suffering, salvation and thoughts on hell. It's an honest conversation about doubt, belief and why curiosity might be essential to spiritual growth. From there, Emily sits down with CITIZENS frontman Zach Bolen to talk about the band's new album Museum, being in the Christian music bubble while feeling like an outsider and why art doesn't need to explain itself to be meaningful. Plus, Jesse has some thoughts over the increasingly unhinged Guinness World Records, from pigs on skateboards to LEGO-related pain tolerance, and the crew plays a round of “Overrated, Underrated or Just Right,” covering reboots, word-of-the-year culture and more!Highlights:3:10 New Year check-in4:20 The Crown5:25 Why New Year's TV is terrible9:55 Fireworks gone wrong14:15 RELEVANT BUZZ17:05 The top faith questions young adults are asking at the Passion Conference31:00 Awards season highlights38:30 Zach Bolen of CITIZENS42:10 Faith, deconstruction, and the Nashville bubble46:20 Curiosity as a spiritual discipline50:10 SLICES50:14 Guinness World Records need a reboot56:20 OVERRATED, UNDERRATED, OR JUST RIGHT?Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Today, Pastor Jack teaches that our role as Christians is to show up, while God's role is to bring our giants down. When we advance God's kingdom, using whatever He has placed in our hands, we are acknowledging that the victory belongs to Him.

In this episode of Unlocked, Savannah Chrisley sits down with Stephen McWhirter for a conversation that's raw, honest, and unexpectedly hopeful. Stephen opens up about growing up in a complicated faith environment, walking through addiction, anger, and deep family wounds, and the long road that eventually led him to sobriety, forgiveness, and healing.Together, they talk about what it really looks like to rebuild your life when trust has been broken, faith feels confusing, and the past won't stay quiet. Stephen shares his story without sugarcoating it, from hitting rock bottom to learning that redemption doesn't always come in neat, cinematic moments. Sometimes it's awkward. Sometimes it's painful. And sometimes it's choosing forgiveness even when it feels undeserved. This episode isn't about having it all figured out. It's about grace, second chances, and the idea that healing can be a lifelong process, not a single turning point. If you've ever wrestled with faith, family, addiction, or the weight of your own story, this conversation will likely stay with you long after it ends.Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell to stay updated on all our latest episodes!Thank you to our sponsors for supporting our show!- QUINCE: Step into the holiday season with layers made to feel good, look polished, and last—with Quince. The events of late have forced into the open the willingness to accept State narratives that position ourselves as a nation of moral high ground. We need to spend time looking within. Matthew 7:3-5 opens our eyes to the log in our own eye. Take time to sit with God. Listen to this voice. Seek how He sees you, not how you think you see yourself. Who are we? What is God's call upon us? These are questions that pull away from the propaganda of control and into the obedience in the divine. #BardsFM_Morning #PropagandaVersusFaith #GodsVoice Bards Nation Health Store: www.bardsnationhealth.com EnviroKlenz Air Purification, promo code BARDS to save 10%: www.enviroklenz.com EMPShield protect your vehicles and home. As we continue to step into an uncertain future, let's determine to seek the Lord. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how we can rely on God and His strength when we're not sure how to persevere. He teaches from the life of the Apostle Paul to demonstrate that in the midst of persecution and hatred, God's strength will allow us to endure—and endure with hope for the future. Now more than ever, our spiritual health is vital, and Pastor Allen shares the importance of prioritizing seeking the Lord. When we're faced with disappointment and hardship, let's remember that we don't have to rely on our own strength; God is faithful to help us.

The holy scriptures are sacred records written by real people—prophets shaped by their culture, language, and historical moment—yet inspired by the Holy Spirit. In this video, we explore how God works through imperfect humans to communicate eternal truths, and why the scriptures were never meant to function as scientific textbooks or literal play-by-play histories in every detail. Instead, the scriptures are primarily concerned with why we exist: our relationship with God, our divine identity as His children, and the purpose of life. They use poetry, symbolism, metaphor, and narrative to teach spiritual truths that transcend time and culture. Taking every verse literally can sometimes cause us to miss the deeper message God intends to convey. Science, by contrast, excels at answering different questions—how the universe works, who was involved, what happened, and when and where events occurred. When properly understood, science and scripture are not enemies but partners, each addressing different aspects of truth. This video invites viewers to adopt a faithful and thoughtful approach to scripture—one that honors inspiration, welcomes scholarship, and allows both revelation and reason to work together in the search for truth.

The research, funded by the John Templeton Foundation's Spiritual Yearning Research Initiative, used machine learning to identify four distinct categories of "Nones": NINOs (Nones In Name Only, who are actually quite religious), Spiritual But Not Religious (the largest group), the Disengaged (content secular individuals far from any religious or spiritual practice), and Zealous Secularists (a small but vocal group actively encouraging others to leave religion). The conversation explores what these categories reveal about American religious identity, why traditional survey methods may be undercounting Christians, and the surprising finding that many "happy atheists" report life satisfaction comparable to religious Americans. Join us for the remaining sessions of this class, where we'll dive deeper into each category with special guests—registration is donation-based, including $0, at www.AmericanNones.com. You can WATCH the conversation on YouTube Join us at Theology Beer Camp, October 8-10, in Kansas City! UPCOMING ONLINE CLASS: The Rise of the Nones One-third of Americans now claim no religious affiliation. That's 100 million people. But here's what most church leaders get wrong: they're not all the same. Some still believe in God. Some are actively searching. Some are quietly indifferent. Some think religion is harmful. Ryan Burge & Tony Jones have conducted the first large-scale survey of American "Nones", which reveals 4 distinct categories—each requiring a different approach. Understanding the difference could transform everything from your ministry to your own spiritual quest. Get info & join the donation-based class (including 0) here. In this episode, I talk with Jana about her powerful journey through the New Age, spiritual exploration, and soul-searching. What began as curiosity about creativity, raising spiritual vibration, and self-help practices led her down a path of demonic encounters and oppressive spiritual presence. She shares why guides, meditation, and inner work couldn't bring lasting peace—and how surrendering to God finally brought true healing, love, and freedom. If you've ever felt stuck in the wrong path, trapped by self-help or New Age practices, or seeking answers outside of God, this honest and inspiring conversation will encourage, challenge, and guide you toward spiritual freedom.-------------------------------------------------------------------Amy is a Christian counselor- to book a session:https://www.biblicalguidancecounseling.comAmy's online Bible studies:https://rumble.com/c/BibleStudywithEyesontherightIG https://www.instagram.com/eyesontherightpodcast/?hl=enIG https://www.instagram.com/eyesontheright4.0/?hl=enhttps://theanastasiaco.com - Faith based company (gifts/apparel)CODE: EYESONTHERIGHThttps://convictionco.com - Faith based bold apparelCODE: EYESONTHERIGHT
People in today's world get so caught up with judging each other, anger arguments, and removing people from their lives that they don't get along with. God calls us to a standard of perfection while also teaching us how to show mercy to ourselves and others when that mark is not met. Jesus was the only perfect dude that made a way for us to have Him living through us to be perfect, too.
Pastor James Powell from The House Vegas reminds us of Paul's instruction in Philippians 3:13. It comes from a place of lived experience, not theory. Writing from prison, Paul reflects on a life marked by both great success and deep failure. Rather than allowing either to define him, he makes a conscious decision to forget what is behind him so he can faithfully pursue what God has ahead. Selective amnesia is the discipline of releasing what no longer has authority so we can walk fully in God's purpose.

Worship of God must align with His established standard. This episode explains God's established standard for worship as taught by the Lord Jesus Christ. True worship requires a relationship with God, the filling of the Holy Spirit, biblical knowledge and understanding, and obedience. Emotion, ritual, and religious performance alone do not meet God's standard.⬇Download Transcript: https://rhem.pub/1063-transcript

Give to help Chris make Truce Given the recent events in Venezuela, I have decided to run a classic episode from season 3. The question of our era is not "why did we do this?" but "why do we keep doing this?" Why does the United States continue to overthrow other countries? God willing, I'll be back next week with a new episode about Pat Robertson. Discussion Questions: What threat did President Jacobo Arbenz pose to United Fruit? United Fruit owned many utilities in Guatemala from the trains to telephone lines. How would you feel if our utilities were owned by foreign entities? If they controlled our natural resources? Do you think the land reform deal was a good one for their country? Were people like John Foster Dulles right to overthrow Arbenz? How might it have benefited them to do so? In what way could the actions of the US in the 1950s reflect poorly on Christianity domestically and abroad? It has been argued that American consumers benefit when Latin American and African countries are thrown in disarray. It means cheaper diamonds, gold, rubber, and more while also stranding the people in those countries in poverty. Does it bother you that you may be benefiting from unbalanced countries? Do you find the assumption that we are benefiting to be offensive? Why? Is there anything we can do about it? LEGACY DADS PODCAST — "I Have Finished the Race: Consistency Over Speed" Episode Overview In this episode, we reflect on Paul's words in 2 Timothy 4 — not as a victory lap of perfection, but as a testimony of perseverance, faithfulness, and steady obedience over time. Many dads start strong… but fewer finish steady. We talk about the difference between sprinting through seasons of fatherhood and faithfully running the long race God has placed before us. This conversation encourages dads to value presence over intensity, consistency over emotional bursts, and long-term faithfulness over short-term momentum. We also discuss what it means to "keep the faith," not as flawless belief, but as resilient trust sustained by the grace of God. Key Themes & Takeaways

There are many people who claim to be Christians and who live like their faith is completely wrapped up in a political viewpoint rather than in Jesus Christ Himself. When we preach the words of Christ, we may be hated by others, but we are still called to share the Gospel no matter what the consequences because to die for Christ, not some other controversial topic, is gain.
