The world has been thrust into another war that is now forcing us to confront our biases, are prejudices, and our morals. The narrative of war is consuming. At its root is hatred, judgement and death. This narrative over powers and too often leads people to lean into its voice rather than the voice of God. More then ever, this is a time to lean into the path that God has called you for. Your gifts and talents are not to be waisted but used and exercised. How does comparing ourselves to others affect our relationship with God? Pastor James shows through God's word how covetousness can be a form of idolatry, as seen in Colossians 3:5, and how comparing ourselves to others can lead to being discontent. Learn how contentment, rooted in trusting God's timing and provision, is the key to overcoming this struggle and growing in faith.ABOUT THIS SERMONIn this sermon, we dive deep into the first and last of the Ten Commandments: having no other gods before God and not coveting. Pastor James draws a powerful connection between these two commandments, showing how covetousness is, in fact, a form of idolatry according to Colossians 3:5. He shares how contentment is the antidote to covetousness and that true contentment isn't about lacking ambition, but rather about trusting God's timing and provision while remaining faithful for growth. Tune in to discover how you can find peace in God's plan for your life!KEY VERSES Colossians 3:5 Luke 12:15 Hebrews 13:5 Proverbs 30:8-9 ABOUT WORD OF GOD MINISTRIESIt is the vision of WOGM to preach Jesus as the manifested Word of God! Read OnlineJesus said to the people in the synagogue at Nazareth: “Amen, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own native place.” Luke 4:24 Do you recognize Christ's presence in others? Do you sense His divine presence all around you? In today's Gospel, the people of Nazareth did not. Jesus, the Son of God, the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity, stood in their midst, yet they failed to see Him for who He truly was. Many of them had watched Jesus grow up, knew His family, and were familiar with His work as a carpenter. However, they could not look beyond the surface to perceive the divine reality in their midst. Though our Lord is not present to us today in the same way He was to the people of Nazareth, He is still with us in countless other ways—through grace, within the Sacraments, in the Scriptures, and in the lives of those around us. Yet how often do we fail to notice His presence in these familiar places? In today's Gospel, Jesus recognizes the hardness of heart among many in His hometown. He responds by recalling two stories about Elijah and Elisha—prophets who performed miracles for Gentiles rather than Israelites, because the Israelites lacked faith. Jesus' message was clear: The people of Nazareth also lacked faith, and as a result, He would perform no miracles for them. This message enraged the people so much that they attempted to throw Him off a cliff. However, Jesus “passed through the midst of them and went away.” Imagine how dramatic that scene must have been! Sometimes, we all need what could be called a “provocative holy drama” in our lives. Just as Jesus challenged the people of Nazareth for their spiritual blindness, we need to be shaken from our complacency. God uses these moments to awaken us to His presence—whether in the Scriptures, the Sacraments, or the people around us. These “holy dramas” are not meant to condemn but to invite us into a deeper awareness of His love and presence. Try to imagine yourself as a member of Jesus' hometown. Those of us raised in the Catholic faith, attending Mass regularly, and striving to live as faithful Catholics can sometimes fall into a spiritual routine. The more familiar we become with God's Church, the easier it can be to overlook His presence in the most ordinary of places. When that happens, God may use moments of “holy drama” to awaken us from our spiritual slumber. These moments are invitations to recognize His presence where we might have taken it for granted. Reflect today on what it would mean to be in the crowd at Nazareth. Approach this reflection humbly and sincerely. Allow Jesus' loving challenge to the people of His hometown to resonate in your own heart. Rather than defend yourself, welcome His gentle rebuke, letting it awaken you to His presence in the familiar. Seek Him with renewed attentiveness, and allow Him to lead you more deeply into His love. My provoking Lord, Your love for the people of Your hometown led You to challenge their lack of faith. When I fall into spiritual blindness and fail to recognize Your presence, please awaken me. With Your love, shake me from any complacency so that I may grow in faith and become more attentive to You, especially in the familiar and the ordinary. Jesus, I trust in You.Source: Free RSS feed from catholic-daily-reflections.com — Copyright © 2026 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. 844 I Hid Myself Because I Was Naked, A Guided Christian Meditation on Genesis 3:8-10 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in  and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ.  Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization.  You can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes. You should hopefully not be driving or anything tense or unrel axing.  If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes.   Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation:   Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation Genesis 3 NIV 8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, "Where are you?" 10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." KJV 8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. 9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. Reflection on Scripture: What an interesting turn of events. When Adam and Eve ate from the tree from which they were commanded against, the scripture does not say they hid because they disobeyed God. It says they hid because they were naked. It seems like the wrong thing to be fearful that the Lord sees. God created their naked bodies. God has already seen their nakedness and yet this is the motivation for hiding from God.  Aside from the silliness of trying to hide from God, it seems the wrong reason to hide from God. It also seems like a wonderful deception for Satan. To foul their understanding of their sexual identity before the Lord quite literally. In the final day of active creation God created Adam, then as his culminating act of creation, he created Eve. In this act of creation he invited Adam and Eve to participate with Him in the act of creation of human bodies. The sexual acts that create their offspring is a literal usage of this gift for its intended purpose. Satan did not want them to develop a healthy relationship with this power. He wanted to immediately corrupt their perception. Their sexual bodies were incorrectly seen as an embarrassment before God.  Satan has waged a full fledged war against the correct perception and usage of this sacred creative power represented by their nudity. He tries to make the whole world mock, cheapen, objectify, and minimize the gift of sexuality. And on top of that, after he has done that, he seeks to heap on shame for it at the same time. God would have us reject the perspective of Satan, and the world. I believe God would prefer for us to protect the sacredness of this gift while also rejecting the shame the enemy would place upon it. Embrace the sacredness that God has put into you. Don't misuse it. Don't hide from the Lord when you fear or make errors. Let us not be in a place where God ever has to ask, where are you? Let us always seek His face, especially when we fall short, that he can redeem us.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials. She also gave some of it to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

If faith feels heavy with pressure or exhaustion, you may be working for worth without realizing it. This episode explores what happens when identity misalignment enters your spiritual life—and what changes when love becomes the starting point, not the reward. Why do so many capable, responsible adults feel pressure in their faith? Not rebellion. Not unbelief.Pressure.This episode explores a deeply personal question: What happens when work becomes confirmation of worth—even in your relationship with God?Using Colossians 3:23–24 (NLT), we revisit a verse often used to fuel hustle culture and performance spirituality. “Work willingly…” has frequently been interpreted as grind harder. But what if it is actually an invitation to relocate identity? Many high-capacity leaders quietly live with an unspoken belief: I don't know how to be loved without earning it.That belief can shape leadership, parenting, marriage, philanthropy, and spiritual life. You may believe God loves you.But your nervous system still attaches love to performance. And when identity fuses with responsibility, subtle spiritual exhaustion sets in. You work faithfully, serve diligently, lead consistently—but underneath, you may feel:– Tired of being the steady one– Responsible for more than you can name– Quietly resentful that so much depends on you– Uncertain how to rest without presenting something to GodThis is not a crisis of faith. It is identity misalignment within faith. When worth is settled vertically, everything shifts horizontally.Leaders who perform for love create systems that perform for safety.Leaders who know they are loved create cultures that regulate through trust. This episode invites you into Vertical Alignment—not religion, not striving—but reorientation toward the Sovereign who authored identity itself. You are not auditioning. You are adopted. And when that truth becomes embodied, work changes. Leadership changes. Rest changes. Pressure loosens. This is not about doing less.It is about doing from beloved identity.Today's Micro Recalibration:Sit quietly for one minute and say, slowly: “I am loved by God before I produce anything.” Notice what rises—relief, discomfort, resistance. It was about noon. When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

We can look disciplined on the surface while still clinging to comfort, control, security, and the illusion that what we have is our own. This conversation gets underneath the act of giving and presses on the deeper question: what am I holding onto? Fr. Ken Geraci and John Heinen talk about why almsgiving is more than generosity, why it exposes the heart, and how gratitude breaks the instinct to accumulate. If fasting teaches a man to master his appetites and prayer teaches him to abide in God, almsgiving teaches him to let go. It trains him to live open-handed before the Lord and to remember that everything he has has first been given. This is not just about money. It is about attachment, trust, possession, and whether a man lives like an owner or a steward.

Jesus once told His disciples that those who believe in Him would do the works He did and even “greater works.” For many Christians, that statement raises immediate questions. How could anyone do greater works than the Son of God who raised the dead and walked on water? In this episode of Kitchen Table Theology, Jeff and Tiffany walk through John 14:12 and unpack what Jesus meant during the Upper Room discourse. The “greater works” aren't about surpassing Christ. They're about the mission of Christ multiplying through His people as the gospel spreads, hearts are transformed, and the church carries the message of salvation to the world. What We Discussed02:45 The Context of John 14Jesus speaks these words during the Upper Room discourse, only hours before His arrest. His disciples are troubled, confused, and struggling to understand what His departure means.04:10 What Jesus Did Not MeanJesus wasn't promising that every believer would perform miracles that surpass His own. No one exceeds the authority or power of the Son of God.05:30 The Key Phrase in the PassageThe phrase “because I go to the Father” explains the meaning of the greater works. Jesus' ascension leads to the sending of the Holy Spirit and the expansion of the gospel mission.08:30 The Greatest Miracle of AllThe most profound miracle is not walking on water but the transformation of a human heart. Through the gospel, sinners are brought from spiritual death to life.10:30 The Role of Prayer in the MissionJesus connects the greater works to prayer in His name. The risen Christ continues to advance His mission as His people pray according to His will.12:00 Small Acts With Eternal ImpactFaithful witness, loving a neighbor, or sharing the gospel may seem ordinary. Yet these moments often lead to lasting spiritual transformation.14:30 Faithfulness Over FlashinessJesus does not call believers to outdo His miracles. He calls them to participate faithfully in His mission as the gospel spreads across the world.16:00 The Global Expansion of the GospelFrom a small group of disciples in Judea to billions of believers worldwide, the promise of John 14:12 has unfolded across centuries.“Greater works are not about surpassing Christ. They are about the risen Christ multiplying His mission through the faithful witness of His people.” –  Jeff Cranston

God calls us to step forward in faith, even when we don’t see the full path ahead. Hannah Benson reflects on Abraham’s journey, emphasizing that trusting God often requires waiting, patience, and obedience despite uncertainty. Abraham’s story illustrates that God’s promises are trustworthy, even when fulfillment seems slow or beyond human logic. By believing God’s Word and following His direction, we can experience His faithfulness and become a blessing to others. Highlights God calls us to act in faith, even without knowing all the answers. Abraham’s journey teaches patience, trust, and obedience in the waiting season. God fulfills His promises in His timing, not ours, reminding us that no word from Him returns void (Isaiah 55:11). Taking matters into our own hands, as Abraham and Sarah did with Hagar, can complicate God’s plan. Trusting God’s Word requires both courage to move and patience to wait. Whether we're helping people pay off their unsecured debt or offering assistance to those behind in their mortgage payments. https://trinitycredit.org Full Transcript Below: Believe the Word the Lord Has Spoken By Hannah Benson Bible Reading:“Now the Lord said to Abram, ‘Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed’” (Genesis 12:1-3 ESV). Recently, I re-read Abraham’s story through new eyes. Isn’t it amazing how we can read the same stories in Scripture again and again, yet every time we read them, the Lord will often reveal things we’ve never realized before? God called Abraham (then called Abram) to leave his homeland and everything he knew and was familiar with to go to a land that He would show him. How did Abraham feel about that? Was he afraid at all? Excited? Probably both. But regardless of how he felt, note that he stepped forward in faith even though he didn’t have all the answers. Read that again. If God calls us to do something, we must step forward in faith even if we don’t have all the answers. In fact, I have found that God doesn’t always give us the answers all at once. He’ll tell us the first step we need to take. So many of us look at the long road ahead of us and think we need all the answers before we move forward. A friend pointed out to me recently that in Exodus 24, Moses went into the fog of the mountain. Clarity came through hearing God’s voice and not from what he could see. I do want to include a disclaimer here. Sometimes, the Lord puts something on our hearts, but it doesn’t mean the time is now. Just because something may be a God-thing doesn’t mean it’s always God’s time for it. But when God calls us to step forward in faith, even when we can’t see the path ahead? Step forward. Go for it. Even if you aren’t sure how, take the next step. God didn’t just call Abraham. He gave him a promise. He promised He would make him a great nation, bless him, and make his name great so that he would be a blessing (Genesis 12:1-3). Imagine what it meant for Abraham to believe that promise. He had to leave everything familiar behind. He had to step forward in faith even though it was frightening. No matter what ran through Abraham’s mind, he chose to believe the promise God spoke, not knowing how or when it would come to fruition. He probably thought he would see the promise soon. If God were to make him a great nation, then that meant God would give him a child. At this point, Abraham was 75 years old and his wife, Sarah, was 65. Perhaps he thought God would fulfill the promise within the next couple of years. After all, that made logical sense. Already, they were advanced in years and past childbearing age. “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1 ESV). In other words, God doesn’t always do what makes logical sense to us. And that’s what happened. The promise took time, and in that time, Abraham grew discouraged. He asked God questions. He wondered when it would happen, if the heir to his house would be Eliezer (Genesis 15:2). God reassured Abraham that “your very own son shall be your heir” (Genesis 15:4 ESV). The Lord made a covenant with Abraham. Covenants in those days were made when two parties sacrificed animals, and the persons making the covenant passed between the split animals (or in the case of a king and his servant, the servant would pass through by himself), symbolizing, “May I be torn apart like these animals if I don’t keep my promise.” Sounds intense, doesn’t it? Usually, the servant would walk between the animals. But instead, God put Abraham into a deep sleep and passed through the animals Himself. In other words, He was saying that He would be the One to pay the price if the covenant was broken (Genesis 15). Abraham didn’t always remain perfectly faithful because, like the rest of us, he’s a sinner and unable to be perfect before a holy God. And one day, God fulfilled His promise, allowing Jesus, who is fully God and fully man, to be broken in atonement for all the sins we’ve committed and the broken promises we’ve ever made. Isn’t that such a beautiful picture? In Genesis 16, however, Abraham and Sarah (at the time still called Abram and Sarai) took matters into their own hands. Sarah suggested to Abraham that he “go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children by her” (v. 2b). Abraham listened to his wife and had a child through Hagar. God doesn’t waste anything, and every child, no matter how they are conceived, is a gift and a blessing. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t pain and conflict as a result of our actions. Intersecting Faith & Life: When we wait so long for something, we often begin to lose hope and think we must take matters into our own hands. 10 years after God made the promise that he would make of Abraham a great nation, the man and his wife still didn’t have a child. Sometimes, the Lord asks us to knock, move forward in faith, and do something (Matthew 7:7). Other times, the Lord asks us to quiet our hearts and be still before Him (Psalm 46:10). In Abraham and Sarah’s story, God asked them to believe (Hebrews 11:11, Genesis 15:6, Romans 4:18). God called them to go from their country and kindred to a land that He would show them, but after that, He didn’t have specific instructions. No doubt it made them wonder if they were supposed to do something, which is why Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham as a wife. Perhaps then she could bear a child through her servant. But that was not what God had meant. No, Sarah herself would bear a son. The Lord had spoken the word. No word from the Lord will return empty. It shall accomplish that which He has purposed and shall succeed in the thing for which He sent it (Isaiah 55:11) and “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:3 ESV). Pray with me: Dear Father, I thank You that Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105). I confess I often doubt Your Word and want all the answers rather than trusting You to take the next step. When I am in a season of “fog” like Moses, help me to listen for Your voice. When I am in a season of “waiting” like Abraham, help me to trust Your timing over my logic. Protect me from taking matters into my own hands, and give me the grace to be still when You say “wait” and the courage to move when You say “go.” Thank you for keeping Your promises, even when I am weak. Are we trying to carry responsibilities God never asked us to hold?In this conversation with Jimmy Dodd, we explore the tension many of us live with every day—the pull between urgency and surrender, responsibility and trust. We talk honestly about the hidden gap between our “front stage” and “backstage” lives, why isolation quietly destroys leaders and families, and the six relationships every person needs to thrive.Together, we unpack what it looks like to build real friendships that include truth-tellers, why spiritual intimacy matters more than simple accountability, and how God often guides our days through interruptions we didn't plan. We also wrestle with a practical question many of us face: how do we stay faithful to what's in front of us without carrying the weight of outcomes that only God controls? This conversation is a refreshing reminder that we were never meant to do life alone—and that the path to lasting faithfulness is found in humility, trusted relationships, and daily dependence on the Spirit.Support the show

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu every day would walk from Akrūra Ghāṭ in Vṛndāvana and sit down at Imlītala. It's preserved in a temple, and there's a little shrine outside where Caitanya Mahāprabhu used to sit under the tree and see the Jamunā. It's a celebrated place where you can remember Caitanya Mahāprabhu sitting and chanting, as it is mentioned in the śāstra that he would come there early in the morning—especially because many people came to see him at Akrūra Ghāṭ and he was besieged by the crowds, people wanting to just look at him and ask him questions. So, he would retreat to Imlītala, and there he would sit alone and see the beauty of the Jamunā River. It is said that he would chant into the late morning and early afternoon, just chanting japa. So that place is very special. We can remember how Caitanya Mahāprabhu is setting the example for all of us: how to relish Kṛṣṇa consciousness is taking time away from any other obligation to just sit and absorb the chanting of the Holy Names. There is nothing more effective than examining oneself and considering one's relationship with Kṛṣṇa by just chanting and hearing the name. We don't have to speculate. We can just suspend any doubts that we have and remember that God is a person; He has a name. His name is non-different from Him, and if we just chant sweetly and let it hit our ears without any expectation or any extra strain—and just be patient and consistent—then everything else will be done by Kṛṣṇa. After all, we're helpless and He's the Supreme Controller, so don't try to do anything extra other than what you can do, and everything will be okay. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

We explore the truth that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man; he is one person with two natures, both Divine and human. Fr. Mike explains that we call Mary the Mother of God because, from the very moment of his conception, Jesus was fully God and fully human. Fr. Mike also goes over heresies in the history of the Church that have denied the humanity of Christ, rejected the divinity of Christ, or confused the fact that Jesus is the Son of God by nature. The Church has always responded by affirming that Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God who became a man and our brother without ceasing to be God and Lord. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 464-469. Most people don't quit because God told them to move. They quit because something invisible made them uncomfortable. In this message, Pastor TJ Tyus breaks down the one principle that determines whether you drift through life or stay rooted in what actually matters: Priority over Preference = Stability. When preference wins, you drift. When priority wins, you remain. You'll learn: → Why you keep making the right moves for the wrong reasons → How invisible "music" (pressure, comparison, feelings, culture) pulls you out of your assignment → The real reason you can't stay committed — and it's not willpower → How to decide before the pressure shows up → Why staying seated is not passive, it's the most active thing you can do Rosa Parks didn't stay seated because she was tired physically. She said: "I was tired of giving in." This message will challenge you to stop giving in to preference and start living from priority — in your health, your relationships, your faith, and your future. A blood moon peaked at 3:33 AM on the first night of Purim — while the Israel Iran war tensions are at a breaking point. This is not a coincidence. And this is NOT astrology. The March 3rd lunar eclipse landed on one of the most historically loaded dates on God's calendar — Purim — the Jewish feast commemorating Israel's miraculous deliverance from ancient Persia (modern-day Iran). At the exact same moment, 333 days remained in the year. The last time a blood moon appeared over Jerusalem. The crucifixion of Jesus Christ in 33 A.D. I'm a former astrologer. I know exactly how this deception works from the inside — and I'm breaking down what this blood moon eclipse actually means through a biblical lens, not a New Age one.   In this episode: ✦ Why the red moon on Purim is impossible to ignore ✦ What 3:33 AM means and why the occult is obsessed with it ✦ Kabbalah, numerology, and why global elites move around symbolic dates ✦ The documented pattern of blood moons and Israel's history ✦ What Joel 2, Matthew 24, Luke 21 & Revelation 6 say about the last days ✦ End times signs — how to tell the difference between biblical discernment and New Age deception ✦ The mark of the beast, the rapture, and the return of Jesus Christ ✦ Why the apocalypse is not the end — it's a transition ✦ Where YOU stand with God right now This is not conspiracy theory.   The heavens were placed for signs and seasons (Genesis 1:14) — "moedim" in Hebrew — appointed times on God's calendar. The end of the world as we know it isn't random. Biblical prophecy and end times prophecy have been pointing to exactly this convergence: wars, celestial signs, Israel surrounded by enemies, and a world moving toward one final authority. The question is not "What does the eclipse mean?" The question is "Where do you stand with God?" The mercy window is still open. Jesus Christ paid the debt. Anyone who repents and trusts in Him is forgiven and restored. That's the only thing that matters when the signs of the end times are this loud. .. Ways to Support the Show:

Read OnlineJesus said to her, “Go call your husband and come back.” The woman answered and said to him, “I do not have a husband.” Jesus answered her, “You are right in saying, ‘I do not have a husband.' For you have had five husbands, and the one you have now is not your husband. What you have said is true.” John 4:16–18Today, we are given the beautiful story of Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well. The story begins with Jesus resting by the well, for He was “tired from his journey.” A Samaritan woman approaches the well at noon, during the heat of the day, most likely to avoid the scorn of the other women who looked down on her. Jesus then does something that greatly surprises her: He asks her for a drink of water.Jews used nothing in common with Samaritans, yet Jesus was willing to drink from her utensil. When she questioned Him about this, Jesus responded, “If you knew the gift of God and who is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,' you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”The “living water” Jesus desired to give her was the spiritual gift of grace to renew and refresh her soul. His divine eyes enabled Him to see her spiritual thirst, and His compassion filled Him with a desire to free her from her many burdens. The passage above might sound harsh at first: “For you have had five husbands…” Why would Jesus bring up this woman's humiliating situation? Because she had clearly been searching for fulfillment throughout her life, engaging in one failed marriage after another. Now, she was living with a man who was not her husband, a reality that left her dry and thirsty.By speaking this way to the woman, Jesus lets her know that He knows all about her, loves her, and longs to fill her with the satiation she has been searching for throughout her life. He does not judge or condemn her; He invites her to experience the freedom He longed to bestow upon her. After the encounter, the woman left the well overjoyed and even left her water jar behind, symbolizing that she was no longer thirsty—spiritually speaking. She then confidently went to the people of the town and said, “Come see a man who told me everything I have done. Could he possibly be the Christ?”Each of us needs to see ourselves in this woman. Our sins fill us with shame. The guilt of our hidden sins weighs us down, leaving us thirsty. If we can identify with this sinful woman, then we can also expect the same depth of compassion from Jesus. Too often, we hide our sins, even from ourselves, justifying our actions, downplaying them, or ignoring them. That is not the path to freedom. Freedom only comes by allowing our Lord to reveal our sins to us, facing them, and encountering God's abundant mercy.Reflect today on the importance of opening your eyes to see the reality of your sins. Don't run from your past—confront it, understand it, confess it, and receive the living water of mercy. The holier you become, the more clearly you will see even the smallest sins you have committed. That is good. It is necessary if we want to be healed and refreshed by God. Imitate this sinful woman today. God is never ashamed of us. Let the shame and guilt dissipate within God's abundant mercy so that like this woman, you will know that God knows you through and through and loves you despite your sin.My Lord and Source of Living Water, my soul is often dry and empty. I long for satiation and fulfillment. Please forgive me for trying to fulfill my soul through sin. I repent of my sins and ask You to reveal to me the full depth of those sins. As You do, please give me the grace I need to repent with all my heart so that I can be filled with Your abundant mercy. In this episode, I'm sharing a powerful shift that helped me stop measuring my homeschool against someone else's timeline — and start recognizing the kind of growth that actually matters. We'll talk about why comparison can quietly erode confidence, why every child's learning journey unfolds differently, and how curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning are often the truest signs that education is working. And if you're raising a child with learning differences or special needs, we'll also talk about the unique courage it takes to trust a slower, more individualized path. You want to homeschool your kids… but your husband isn't on board. Now what? This is one of the most emotionally charged decisions a Catholic mom can face — because underneath the schooling question is something deeper: "Am I doing a good job?" "Are my kids going to be okay?" "What if something bad happens?" In this episode, we slow it down. We talk about: Why you want to homeschool (and what feeling you're actually chasing) The difference between fear and discernment Why every schooling option has both beauty and drawbacks How to tell if God is truly calling you to homeschool Why God is not a trickster How to approach your husband with peace instead of panic What to do if you feel called… and he still says no Most moms approach this conversation rooted in fear. But fear does not come from the Lord. If God is calling you to something, He will bring unity. He will bring clarity. And He will take care of your children — because they are His first. Your job is not to control every outcome. Your job is to discern and trust. You are stewarding souls. God loves them even more than you do.

Gospel Luke 15:1-3, 11-32 Tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus, but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them." So to them Jesus addressed this parable. "A man had two sons, and the younger son said to his father, 'Father, give me the share of your estate that should come to me.' So the father divided the property between them. After a few days, the younger son collected all his belongings and set off to a distant country where he squandered his inheritance on a life of dissipation. When he had freely spent everything, a severe famine struck that country, and he found himself in dire need. So he hired himself out to one of the local citizens who sent him to his farm to tend the swine. And he longed to eat his fill of the pods on which the swine fed, but nobody gave him any. Coming to his senses he thought, 'How many of my father's hired workers have more than enough food to eat, but here am I, dying from hunger. I shall get up and go to my father and I shall say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I no longer deserve to be called your son; treat me as you would treat one of your hired workers."' So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. His son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.' But his father ordered his servants, 'Quickly, bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.' Then the celebration began. Now the older son had been out in the field and, on his way back, as he neared the house, he heard the sound of music and dancing. He called one of the servants and asked what this might mean. The servant said to him, 'Your brother has returned and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.' He became angry, and when he refused to enter the house, his father came out and pleaded with him. He said to his father in reply, 'Look, all these years I served you and not once did I disobey your orders; yet you never gave me even a young goat to feast on with my friends. But when your son returns who swallowed up your property with prostitutes, for him you slaughter the fattened calf.' He said to him, 'My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours. But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.'" Reflection I like focusing on the unhappy brother. Because he's so like the righteousness of so many of the people that Jesus was trying to reach. If you do what you're told, that's all that's required. But Jesus is coming into the world not for those people, but more for the sinner, for the younger son, for the one who sought life and wanted it more than anything else but made all the mistakes. And that's what we need to take to heart about this passage. God favors those who long to live and find life, and you can't do that without making mistakes. Let us never fear that our sins are the obstacle. We need to have passion, enthusiasm for life. We need to seek it and we make mistakes, and when we make mistakes, then we simply recognize that we are always forgiven.] Closing Prayer Father, your love is consistent. You are our father. You're the father of those of us who sin. You're the father of those of us who follow the rules rigorously. Let us be the same. Let us embrace all those who seek to please you and not judge them. And we ask this in Jesus' name, Amen. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In today’s culture, fear often keeps us from speaking truth—even when someone’s actions are harmful to themselves or others. Aaron D’Anthony Brown encourages believers to confront sin with courage, clarity, and love, following the example of Jesus. Speaking truth doesn’t require aggression; it requires wisdom, discernment, and a heart aligned with God. Honest, righteous communication strengthens relationships and fosters spiritual growth in ourselves and others. Highlights Fear of confrontation can keep truth unspoken, enabling harm to continue. Jesus was not afraid to call out sin, yet He did so with purpose and discernment. Speaking truth effectively does not require anger; it requires wisdom and courage. Honest confrontation helps others grow spiritually, just as we rely on accountability to grow. Let your words be clear, consistent, and aligned with God’s righteousness. In our modern culture, telling someone anything remotely offensive has become taboo, even if they’re hurting us or hurting themselves. The thought of having any sort of confrontation proves too much. We become paralyzed before finding some justification to simply let things be. Yet at the same time, we continue to complain about said things. Recently, a friend of mine was sharing with me about someone in his friend group who was dabbling in transgenderism. My friend was afraid to share his thoughts on the issue with this person and instead remained silent, even though he was clearly concerned about his friend. There are so many people who feel like this today. Rather than tell people the truth, we tell them lies, or nothing at all, which they then interpret as affirmation, even though we know it to be sin. The solution is simple - put yourself in their shoes. What would we want people to do for us if we were sinning? Call us out? Leave us be? We ourselves know the right thing to do, but are not doing it. Jesus says to let our “yes” and “no” be clear. Let’s talk about how to do that. Intersecting Faith & Life: Recognize that Christ was offensive. Some of us in the modern church have started believing that Jesus got along perfectly with everybody all the time, but that just wasn’t the case. Jesus called people out on their sin. He wasn’t afraid to go against the culture. Why do you think there were so many who rallied against Him and were bent on having Him killed? Certainly, Christ did not offend for the sake of hurting others. There was truth that they needed to hear, and oftentimes they didn’t want to hear it. Nonetheless, what mattered most was the truth. The same applies to us today. Understand that the truth doesn’t have to be offensive. We often grow squeamish at the thought of treating sin with aggression. But here’s the reality: you don’t have to be aggressive. There is such a thing as righteous anger, but calling someone out for bad behavior doesn’t require you to be angry. As discussed, Jesus was not the pacifist we often make Him out to be, but He also didn’t go around yelling at everyone He caught misbehaving. Effective communication requires wisdom, something we can attain by first stepping out of our comfort zones and having these tough conversations. We need one another to grow. We’re no different from the people we complain about. Our struggles may differ. Some are certainly more severe than others. However, like the people we are afraid to confront, we have struggles we don’t realize ourselves. You’re hopefully not the same person you were a year ago, or five years ago. Why? You’ve learned more about yourself in that time. Some of which you learned on your own, but other things were brought to your attention. We need God and fellow believers to give us the wisdom to become aware. Likewise, we need to use the wisdom we’ve been blessed with and admonish those around us - effectively, honestly, and righteously. What actually separates Catholic and Protestant belief, and does it still matter? In this Hot Topic teaching, Pastor Russell Howard walks through four major areas where Catholicism and evangelical Christianity converge and diverge, covering the canon of Scripture, the authority of the Bible alone, the veneration of Mary and the saints, and the nature of justification before God. At the heart of the conversation is one defining question: is Christ's work on the cross a finished act or a contribution to an ongoing process? Whether you grew up Catholic, left the faith, or simply want to understand what you believe and why, this teaching gives you a biblical framework to think clearly and speak charitably.
