The conversations I have with my friends over dinner are always so meaty (pun intended)... and every now and then I press record
The world can be so black and white, and I think as a black women it’s easy for me to feel like the “black struggle” is the only or most important one. That’s far from the truth. The reality is the world is full of so many different ethnicities and we do them a disservice when we try to monopolize the struggle! **PS: it was “wine night” and we were definitely feeling it
If we could just, as a human race, take our influence off of everything we will really see what naturally (without human tampering) is supposed to happen because people would actually live by instinct (and/or hopefully God’s influences) instead of peoples judgement. But that will never happen, we’re too far gone
I’m not perfect so I’m sure I’ve hurt many people, but if I’ve made ANY woman feel ashamed for the shape or size of their body I’m truly sorry. I hope that when you listen to me express myself and engage my friends in this conversation, that you began to have the conversation as well. I support Body Positivity ✊
