CIFR has recently released a research working paper titled ‘In-House Management: Making and Implementing the Decision’, which addresses a key issue currently facing the governing boards and management of asset owners such as large superannuation funds: when is it appropriate to manage some assets in-house, rather than outsourcing this task to external investment managers? And what’s the best way to do it? This research was conducted by an internal CIFR research team comprising: Dr Geoff Warren (Research Director), Professor David R Gallagher (CEO) and Mr Tim Gapes (Centre Director).
