The Community Relations Council was established in 1990 to lead and support change towards reconciliation, tolerance and mutual trust. We're a a catalyst for good inter-community and inter-cultural community relations work in Northern Ireland.
The Community Relations Council provides seminars and discussions centred around peace building and good community relations. In this podcast episode, you’ll find talks by Professor Alan Sharp, Dr Eamon Phoenix, and historian Liz Gillis. Who came together to discuss Partition in Ireland during the years 1920 to 1922. This was during our special one-day regional conference entitled “Partition: A dividing Ireland in a dividing Europe” held in Cookstown on 21 November 2019. We’re pleased to have been able to bring you this event thanks to our partnership with National Heritage Lottery Fund NI.
