As the 47th anniversary of 1979 Iranian Revolution approaches, serious questions exist about the future of the Islamic Republic. Is this the beginning of the end for Iran's clerical authoritarian regime? Can the Iranian regime survive this existential moment? How should the international community respond? In what has become an annual tradition, Evan Gluck (NY Guitar Repair) hosted a guitar repair roundtable at the 2025 Fretboard Summit. This year, he brought Ceil Thompson (StewMac); TJ Thompson (Pro Luthier Tools); Mamie Minch (Brooklyn Lutherie); and Mark Stutman (Folkway Music) onstage. It's an insightful (and often hilarious) talk about the realities of running a guitar repair business. Very quickly, these five guitar repair experts go deep on customers, the surprise revelations they've had in their careers; the tasks (and people) they avoid; and much more. Give it a listen. It may just make you a better customer the next time your guitar needs to be repaired. Our next Fretboard Summit takes place August 20-22, 2026, at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. THE RUGBY ODDS — Season 6, Episode 16
This is us. Moms who've lived it — sitting together having a real, unfiltered conversation about the one thing that keeps so many of us stuck: the feeling that it's all so damn unfair. We talked about the hard parts of co-parenting after divorce — the uneven load, the chronic illness with no support, the special-needs kids mostly on one parent's shoulders, the guilt, the waiting for him to step up or see what he lost, the resentment that still flares even when we think we've done the work.We named it all. Then we went deeper. We explored how that loud “it's so unfair” story is often rooted in something quieter: an old belief that we're not quite worthy, not quite enough, not safe unless someone else makes it right. We talked about the moment we realized we chose these men (the signs were there), how guilt can quietly turn us into over-functioning parents, and why acceptance doesn't have to feel like giving up.We also got honest about what finally started to move the needle for us: looking at the resentment in the body (especially the liver), using gentle homeopathic support to help clear what talk therapy alone sometimes can't touch, and doing the slow work of reclaiming our own worth instead of waiting for fairness from the outside. There were a few mic-drop moments. There was laughter. There were tears. And there was a lot of “oh… that's why it's been so hard to let go.”If you're tired of carrying the unfairness like a quiet weight in your chest every time you co-parent, this conversation might be the one that helps you see it differently — and finally feel some space around it.Click Here For Destined Homeopathics Blend: UnburdenWelcome to Panel Rant Thursday.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MyCoachDawnInstagram: (@dawnwiggins)Instagram: (@coachtiffini)On the Web: https://www.mycoachdawn.comA podcast exploring the journey of life after divorce, delving into topics like divorce grief, loneliness, anxiety, manifesting, the impact of different attachment styles and codependency, setting healthy boundaries, energy healing with homeopathy, managing the nervous system during divorce depression, understanding the stages of divorce grief, and using the Law of Attraction and EMDR therapy in the process of building your confidence, forgiveness and letting go.Support the show✨Join the Cocoon Community - your people are waiting! ✨ Stress-Less Flower Essence

Big Fat Five: A Podcast Financially Supported by Big Fat Snare Drum
Welcome back to Drummers on Drumming, powered by Big Fat Snare Drum. This episode is a new installment of The Drum Panel, and it's Part One of Two diving into Chick Corea's Cheap But Good Advice For Playing Music in a Group. I'm joined by good friend of mine Rafa Vidal, who also plays with the band Almost Monday, who are currently killing it, and of course Eric Somers-Urrea is back on the panel. We start off reacting to a post from Tommy Igoe about drum education and who should really be setting the agenda in lessons. That opens the door to a bigger conversation about intention, listening, and what it actually means to function inside a band. From there, we break down the first six pieces of Chick's advice and what they look like in real life: Play only what you hear. If you don't hear anything, don't play anything. Don't let your fingers and limbs just wander—place them intentionally. Don't improvise endlessly—play something with intention, develop it or not, but then end off, take a break. Leave space—create space—intentionally create places where you don't play. Make your sound blend. Listen to your sound and adjust it to the rest of the band and the room. We also get into a Rafa's new endeavor called Touch Grooves. Check out more information on that HERE --- Get Your Copy of the Drummers on Drumming Book Today

When you sit down to write, it's tempting to aim for perfection right out of the gate. But the truth is, your first draft isn't meant to be flawless—it's meant to exist. The real transformation happens later, in the rewriting and refining. Allowing yourself to write imperfectly opens the door to discovery. It's through revising, reshaping, and rethinking that your message gains clarity and power. Every rewrite deepens your understanding of your story—and every messy moment moves you closer to the book you're meant to create.
