Heroes In Theory is back with a new cast and a new story! A minotaur, a hybrid of man and nature, a human and an elf meet up as a part of a crotchety old Kenku's crew aboard the Ship LAST RESORT. The ship, the crew, and the adventure are all sure to be a strange combination of exciting and deadly. Join us as we set sail for a new adventure!

It seems Slim is the only one who can see Haldur's ghost, and this troubles him deeply. The party heads into town and does some much needed shopping, Slim has his encounter with the mysterious Madam Sterling. Meanwhile, a shocking development arises as the party witnesses a hostile takeover. Friends become foes and foes become friends as the second trial is announced!

The First Trial is done! Join the party as they deal with the aftermath, become involved in a life or death chase, exchange blows with another Nightmare Feeder, receive a proposal for a new alliance, and take Slim shopping for clothes!

The party goes to Vic's side as he is recovering from the attack he is forced to make a fateful choice and take an oath. Dorothy and Slim share a tender moment, and the First Trial begins. Knowing that someone that care about will die, the party steels themselves and wrestles with the fear that when the time comes, they won't be able to kill another gladiator...

The party begins their first training session, but are interrupted by a terrible beast. One of the heroes is gravely wounded, while another of them makes a secret pact in the shadows...

Slim goes to Dorothy's house for a taste of authentic Orc Cuisine, Duuraus experiences acceptance for the first time, Lucy And Vic meet many more of their competitors as all roads lead to the First Trial.

The Heroes find themselves trapped as slaves, forced to enter into the brutal gladiatorial games known as The Blood Trials to earn their freedom. They encounter this year's other Trial Takers and form a group that they hope will see them through many storms.
