Justice for Sergio

What is justice for Sergio Reyes? In Episode 1, Sergio's friends, classmates, and family introduce listeners to the teenager behind the headlines: one of six children, an avid handball player, always ready with a joke or a smile, a young man on track to graduate high school and dreaming of a life beyond Bushwick.

In Episode 2, the Justice for Sergio team travels to Bushwick, Brooklyn, the neighborhood where Sergio Reyes lived and died, and explores the role of guns in the lives of police officers and teenagers in New York City. Includes clips from interviews with a rookie NYPD officer, Dolores Osborne, Cynthia Moten, and Flacko Jimenez. 

In Episode 3, the Justice for Sergio team shares what justice means to them, how they'll continue to pursue it, and what their hopes are for their futures, communities, and generations to come.  Includes clips of interviews with Cynthia Moten, Anne Schellhorn, James Lapine, and the Rev. Winnie Varghese.
