We were delighted to interview Alan Davey whose experience of his business completely changed after understanding how he experiences life. In particular his decision making and staff relationships resulted in boosting his and his businesses performance. Parenting can be overwhelming and frustrating. We would like to have an ideal relationship with our child, and we blame ourself or our child if it isn’t perfect. It is very helpful to know that we are always doing the best we can in our parenting. It takes away the guilt which is so familiar.
We address overwhelm and burnout: how to stop it and what to do about it. When we feel overwhelmed we feel like we have to do everything right now. When we see how we are experiencing life, in this moment, we see that overwhelm comes and goes and see it for what it really is.
If you are depressed, let is tell you, there is always hope. Why do we take a depressed thoughts more seriously than others? We think it defines us. But what if it is simply passing thought? It is an experience we have in a given moment, and moments are changing and so it our thinking.
How ‘should’ we look? What is beautiful for us as an individual? And how are we experiencing these ideas? We have a lot of rules and regulations about food, we feel pressured by society about how we should look? Let us explore further where our experience is coming from...
When I understand myself more I also start to understand others. I can only ever experience my thinking in this moment and so does everyone else. I see that I cannot possibly think the same as anyone else, and that my feelings are coming from my own thinking about the world. We start to be more compassionate with others and ourselves.
We pin our happiness to something in the future and when doesn’t turn out the way we anticipate we feel disappointed or frustrated. But what if there is only this present moment. I can only experience what is right now in front of me; anything else is created via thought in the moment. The magic happens now not in the future.
Life doesn’t always go smoothly, or the way we plan it, and sometimes things happen that we don’t want to happen. We can feel sad or depressed, it is normal. We talk about our ‘hard’ times. Since we have both come to understand why we are feeling as we are, our hard times have been so much more manageable. We have experienced them with less and less suffering.
Would you like to know why you have anxiety? With understanding this Logic of how our mind works we are more likely to wonder how is my experience created? We start to understand that we are not this anxious person we think we are but that we have moments of feeling anxious.
