In this episode we interview a true master of hunting big mature bucks, Jerry Everhart.  Jerry is one of the hosts of the Hunt Fish Journal Podcast and has been detailing Rut Functional Hunting for several years now.  Tommy and Chad have used this method of hunting which utilizes mock scrapes and licking branches to draw in the mature bucks.  This method is widely used by hunters everywhere but there is more to the story and the intricacies that make this method unique and different from anything else you may have tried.  Enjoy part 1 of this interview.

A quick update on what we've been up to and what we've been doing to get ready for the season.  Deer hunting is something we prepare for year round.  If you haven't started to prep for the season then get out there and get started.  It's never to late and always better late then never.  We also share some spring turkey stories.

In this episode we interview one of the pioneers of saddle hunting John Eberhart.  John is an accomplished whitetail deer bowhunter with decades in the deer woods and the trophy wall to prove it.  John hunts strictly public land and land that he obtains permission to hunt.  He has never paid for a lease or hunted managed properties which makes his accomplishments that much more impressive.  John is a nut about scent control just like us and he doesn't hunt the wind.  This mobile method of hunting has allowed John to take deer with a bow in multiple different states.  John has taken 31 record book bucks from the Michigan and 19 from out-of-state.  This is a very informative interview for the experienced and beginner hunter alike.

On this episode we interview the Vice President of Ozonics Hunting Buddy Piland.  Ozonics is a game changer in the evolution of hunting and how we approach scent control and the way we hunt big game.  This interview clears up some misconceptions about ozone and how to properly use the product.
