When we reach out in love to others joy is released in our lives. God has not called us to "in-reach"; He has called us to "out-reach." Don't wait until you feel like doing something loving; start doing it on purpose! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/switchizen/message
Are you serious about transformation? I’m not talking about polishing yourself, improving yourself, making things a bit better. I’m talking about the reset button—a reinvention that changes the game. That means an overhaul in what you believe and how you do your job. If you’re up for that, then right here, right now, you can start. Prayer, simply put, is conversation with God. That in mind, shouldn’t we be doing it in a way that pleases Him? Not to get us on a good list so that He’ll do what we ask, but to really understand how to talk with Him, and share our concerns, fears, and pleas. We would never subject a friend to demands made out of fear or pride. How could that be a good way to talk to God? The Bible says a lot about prayer, including Jesus’ words on how to pray (The Lord’s Prayer - Matthew 6:9-13). One parable Jesus shared with his disciples, speaks directly to my question. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/switchizen/message

Though we’re all subject to the blessings of God, some are more blessed than others. I believe that favor has something to do with that. What was it that attracted God to Mary? “The angel went to her and said, ‘Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you’.” (Luke 1:28) That’s the type of favor I want to tell you about. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/switchizen/message

What makes you, you? Is it what you’ve done? What’s been said about you? Is it where you’ve come from or where you’re going? These are questions we all wrestle with at some point or another. The answers to these questions matter so much because when we know who we are, then we know what to do. To take it a step further, when we know who we are in relation to our creator, then we start to discover who we are and how to live in relation to our community and our culture. So, who are you? And what are you going to do? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/switchizen/message
Suppose an individual believes something with his whole heart; suppose further that he has a commitment to this belief, that he has taken irrevocable actions because of it; finally, suppose that he is presented with evidence, unequivocal and undeniable evidence, that his belief is wrong: what will happen? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/switchizen/message
