Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:6-8, Acts 1:15, Matthew 28:16, Matthew 28:20, 1 Peter 3:15, 2 Peter 3:18, 1 Peter 4:11 During the forty days between Jesus' resurrection and His ascension, Jesus saw many individuals and small groups, but He also saw over five hundred people at one time. Where was it, and when did Jesus see this large group of people? Jesus kept showing up… ⁃ Jerusalem ⁃ Emmaus ⁃ Mount of Olives ⁃ Galilee (Pastor shares why he thinks that Jesus may have been in Galilee when He saw the 500. Pastor shares several pictures of the area around Galilee.) Those Jesus appeared to had a heart to share the amazing news after seeing Jesus truly was alive. Because Jesus is alive - because there are convincing proofs - what does that mean for our lives? ⁃ sharing the Gospel message ⁃ Obeying what Jesus had commanded APPLICATIONS ⁃ Purpose: Testimony - The One who rose, changes our lives and He is coming back! Peter's testimony - 1 Peter 3:15 “but in your hearts revere Christ as lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” When God has changed our lives through Jesus Christ, that gives us a testimony, it gives us purpose to share our personal testimony with friends, family, strangers. Our testimony isn't just what we say, it's how we live, too. ⁃ Purpose: Maturity - We are to grow in our faith, in our witness, in our knowledge of the living God, and not remain baby believers. 2 Peter 3:18 “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” We are not saved because we are mature, but rather it is because we're saved, we want to mature. We don't; want to remain baby believers, we want to grow up in Christ. And that gives Him glory, Our purpose is anchored and centered in the Lord Jesus Christ, our risen King. And we are to keep on maturing. ⁃ Purpose: Service - We are called to service Him with the gifts He has given us, with the time He has given us, with the opportunities and settings He has given us, 1 Peter 4:11 “If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.” Speak the words of God and bring joy and hope, conviction and power into the lives of others. And serve them in God's strength so that He is praised through the witness we share of Jesus and who He is. Be encouraged to serve Him with the gifts you've been given., to serve Him with your lives, your talents, your examples and in the opportunities He provides. Our purpose is to live for Him - Not for ourselves - but for HIM! Today, people are coming to faith in the Lord Jesus like never before, faith in Christ is exploding. Does God speaks? And if He does—how does He speak?I used to wonder, used to doubt,Was it His voice or just my mind? Was it His wisdom or was it noise? Was it heaven or the voice of the evil one?See, I sat in sermons, listened to preachers,But still—I doubted, I questioned. How could the voice of the AlmightySound so much like silence? But then I searched the Scriptures,I traced the echoes of His voice,And I found Him—Not in the whirlwind, not in the fire,Not in the earthquake,But in the whisper, the stillness, the knowing. For his word says, be still and know that I am GodWe were created to know His voice.Like a child knows the voice of its father,Like Adam and Eve knew Him before they even knew sin.Genesis 3:8— They heard the sound of the Lord…Walking in the garden, in the cool of the day.For his sheep knows his voice, and when He calls upon them, they answer. We know our fathers voice, by his Spirit. The indwelling of the Spirit gives us the ability to hear God`s voiceSo why do we doubt?God speaks. And when He speaks, it is not a riddle. It is not a puzzle, not a guessing game.To Moses, He said:"With him, I speak face to face, clearly, not in riddles."So why do we act like He is hiding? The voice of God is not some distant mystery. It is a discernible, comprehensible statement. The voice of God is plain and clear to understand. For God talks to us for us to understand him.Not meant to confuse, but to guide. Not meant to be distant, but to draw us close. The question is not "Does He speak?"The real question is— Are we listening?

You've got the right outfit, hair and makeup are on point, but when it comes to conversation how deep are you willing to go? One of the biggest challenges when you start dating is secretly decoding what he meant when he said that? You start conference-calling your closest friends to play detective and decipher his messaging, but why are you not asking him what you really want to know? Why are women so scared of asking the wrong questions and scaring him off too early? It's clearly better for us all, emotionally, to find out A.S.A.P is he really into you, does he just want to hook up, or is he really searching for a committed relationship. There are three things we must conquer completely, If we are to see things, of truth very clearly… These three difficulties of temptations influence, can only be beaten by stubborn discontinuance. Like Joseph the Dreamer literally ran away to avoid, possible temptations that kill and destroy - so must we, flee the wilfully bold sins Otherwise darkness seeps in and makes cold our skins. To numb us, and we lose our joy to seek the Lord, While we're busy with rough temptations that demand to be adored. The first temptation to overcome is the WORLD and its pleasures. The second is the DEVIL himself and all his promised treasures. The third is the hardest, we must conquer OURSELVES, and know that without God we have zero innate wealth. There are the three helpers that can aid us, There are the three methods that can save us… I have HOPE for myself, that I can conquer myself, Through the person of the FATHER my Lord. I have FAITH for my community, That through JESUS we can have unity, and finally cut the Devil's chord. I believe that through imitation of CHARITY, I can start to comprehend the HOLY SPIRIT, that pearl, Who is ever generous towards us, and who defeats the selfishness of the World. Purity of heart makes us bold then to seek Him, But much indulgence in sin makes us bleak, then we fear Him… Not in the good way of gentle respect, but in a sick way that is incorrect… Those who are bold in their sin are shy approach the throne, Those who are meek within and accept reproach to daily atone, are bold before the Father, their purity makes them so - There is great strength in this dignity, and it leaves the soul aglow. So remember the three traps are: The World, The Devil and Ourselves. The three helpers are: The Father, The Son and Spirit, themselves, The three methods are: Hope, Faith and Charity, Apply them all daily, like medicine to receive clarity.
What are the effects of not hearing Him? Not receiving your counsel from Christ and Christ alone? Find out in this episode of Hear Him, the trickle down effect.
Prayer, simply put, is conversation with God. That in mind, shouldn’t we be doing it in a way that pleases Him? Not to get us on a good list so that He’ll do what we ask, but to really understand how to talk with Him, and share our concerns, fears, and pleas. We would never subject a friend to demands made out of fear or pride. How could that be a good way to talk to God? The Bible says a lot about prayer, including Jesus’ words on how to pray (The Lord’s Prayer - Matthew 6:9-13). One parable Jesus shared with his disciples, speaks directly to my question. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/switchizen/message
