As part of the Digital Technologies studies, Year 5 students from John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School in Perth, Western Australia have created a podcast that showcases their learning, their experiences and their lives.
Year 5 Matters blasts off with Year 5P this week, who take you on a journey through the solar system and beyond. The episode theme is Space and students discuss what they know, what they think and why in this informative section. Next is story time, where Charlotte's story 'Sir Zog' was chosen by the class as it fit all of the criteria of a successful short story about space. Third is a quick stop into Year 5P to introduce the class' most loveable friend, Totoro - a stuffed animal that keeps us company in class. Finally, we ask our most pressing space questions to one of the high school's Science teachers and get some fascinating answers. All this and more on the first episode of Year 5 Matters!
