Dr. Daniel Papp lectures students on the recent political and economic history of Russia (2009). Papp starts with the waning days of the Soviet Union with Mikhail Gorbachev’s economic reforms, the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the birth of the Russian Federation. With the Russian Federation, Papp discusses Boris Yeltsin, Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev’s leadership and the troubling economy of the 90’s and the growing and hopeful economy of the new millennium.
