    Three Day Lesson 1. The students will analyze the lessons learned from Dr. Seuss’s Yertle the Turtle. 2. The students will identify philosophers from the Age of Enlightenment and explain their philosophies. 3. The students will compare and contrast the lessons learned from Dr. Seuss’s Yertle the Turtle to Enlightenment philosophies of the 18th Century. 4. The students will evaluate the extent the Age of Enlightenment philosophers had on the creation of the Declaration of Independence.
