Making Android Apps. Udacity Student. Bluepandadev Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
I made $5 from donations, started learning game making in unity, and still plan on always learning more! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
Thinking about a drawing app as a chalkboard app was a change in perspective that helped motivate me to tackle an app problem again. Even though it was the same problem (making an mvp drawing app), the different perspective made the problems seem easier to tackle. It at least helped me TRY. Some problems feel so overwhelming that's it's hard to even try, but a change of perspective can help that. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
I'm working on a drawing app and trying to focus on a minimum viable product. I also want to build the app in a way that makes it easy to add features later, but when I'm just following tutorials it can be hard to figure out best practices. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
Who knew that feature creep could be a problem for something as simple as a tip calculator app? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
Tried out the Unity game engine, now starting on a tip calculator app. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
This is my sixth app on the Google Play Store. On to the next one! Also, time to study. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
TextWatchers are fun, but watch out for the infinite loops! I also made a tool in VBA to help me with app translations. Trying out other programming languages is much less scary now that I've got basic programming skills under my belt. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
I still feel like a beginner, but teaching what I know is fun and helpful for me (and hopefully to other people too). I also want to keep doing small, easy apps so that I can quickly iterate through my app development process, and hopefully I'll be learning the skills to build better (and cooler) apps along the way. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
I want to try Kotlin, Instant Apps, and test the app bundles feature, but I probably won't get to all of that. Time to use the whiteboard to prioritize. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
I finished the Random Number Generator! I forgot to mention it, but Android Studio made it easy to create an app bundle. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
I finished the ABND from Udacity! Now on to getting a job (I'll try not to fail the interviews...), and continuing to develop Android apps. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
It's good to get outside in the sunshine one in a while. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
Lasers at the dentist are the best. Working on Inventory App and Random Number Generator. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
I made one of the top scorekeeper apps in the Google Play Store using SQLite (bit.ly/amandafarrell_scorekeeper), so making another SQLite database for the Inventory App (the final project of the Udacity Android Basics Nanodegree) shouldn't be too bad. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
Bought myself a big whiteboard and a bunch of dry erase markers. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
Should be working on the News App project for the Android Basics Nanodegree from Udacity... --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bluepandadev/support
