My place of thought sharing
After hitting a few setbacks with dance I return to my Sedentary Movement practice, but having the parameter work squared away. Investing in other areas of my life feels great so not moving so much anymore, begun to time my mind-body practice and wishing to do it more.
Today the need arose to update my practice, and inspiration found on Youtube led me to try broadening an approach that I used only as accents during my regular practice. Let’s see if it stands the test of time.
A log of today’s research, trying out old solutions to new setbacks, perhaps better would be to adapt in a more fresh manner. Just waiting face to face with the problem until a solution makes itself known, but alas, such is my conditioning from childhood math and programming: applying standard formulas and recipes to all new issues.
Lately less guitar, more improvising sound in my head; how I aproach guitar playing instinctually rather than playing what I hear; a bit more on stiffness and balancing out the parameters of my movement practice - I’m in a good place :)
Watched a shaolin monk give a TedX talk about mastery and success. I describe it in broad strokes and discuss what I can take from it.
