Roadside zoos are a collection of animals who live their lives on constant display for the public. The animals often live in deplorable conditions: barren cages, inadequate food, water, shelter, and veterinary care. They are forced to interact with the public and their sole purpose is to generate money for their owners. Once they are no longer profitable, they become disposable.
