Returning to standard programming, my friend Hassan joins me to kill time in between travel seasons to talk to me about his recently completed trip to Lebanon. Hassan is American, and very very white, but his father is a dark skinned Lebanese Arab. Hassan visits there sometimes to meet family, and now as an adult, fills me in on the ins and outs, the roman ruins and the bombed ruins.
