“I cannot sit on the sideline.”Travis Hunter Couldn't come to Duuval and not talk to our guy Travis Hunter!! We were able to catch him for a few minutes on his off day while he was at the facility with his family and we had to ask him all the things everyone wants to know and put truth to the headlines and rumors that constantly surround this young star. Heading into his second year with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Travis keeps it real with us about life on and off the field. Coming off an injury, He opens up about his determination to continue playing both sides of the ball, the physical and mental demands that come with it, and the expectations surrounding one of football's most unique young playmakers. Ryan and Channing push back on all the snaps he takes and being a Hall of Famer at one position is tough let alone trying to compete at two! But Travis makes it clear and lets the guys know what drives him to be out there for both! Travis' bond with Trevor Lawrence is what keeps him grounded and confident on the field as well as the respect and brotherhood he has with his teammates on both sides of the ball, although they have labeled him with a “cheat code” nickname… He reflects on becoming a dad, balancing family and football, and navigating the pressure to live up to the hype while continuing to grow into the player and person he wants to be. The growth and perspective this young man has at such a young age is truly remarkable. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

What if the young employee you think is underperforming is responding to the expectations of the manager leading them? Construction companies put enormous effort into recruiting young talent, bringing in interns, paying referral bonuses, and onboarding new employees. But one decision can dramatically influence whether that investment pays off: who manages them first. In this episode, Bradley Hartmann explores the Pygmalion Effect. The idea that a leader's expectations can influence how they treat people, shaping employees' self-belief, behavior, and ultimately their performance. For young professionals whose identities and confidence are still developing, those expectations can be especially powerful. In this episode you'll learn Why a young employee's first manager can become one of the most influential leaders of their entire career and why assigning new talent shouldn't be treated as an administrative decision. How high expectations can elevate performance while the opposite—the Golem Effect—can cause young employees to internalize a manager's low expectations and perform accordingly. Why construction leaders should rethink how they assign managers to interns and early-career employees, choosing leaders who genuinely want to challenge, teach, develop, and invest in them. Play the episode to learn how choosing the right manager, and setting the right expectations, can help your young talent see and achieve potential they may not yet see in themselves. The Rizzuto Show has been waiting since January for the moment humanity would supposedly lose gravity for eight glorious seconds, and now the big day has arrived. Do we float? Do we fly? Do we immediately jump out a window based on something we heard on the internet? Thankfully, only one of those ideas gets discussed with any enthusiasm.Episode 26 kicks off with the crew preparing for the alleged gravity event and quickly asking the much more important question: where is the gravity cult? Because if the internet promises a supernatural event, somebody somewhere has probably already purchased matching tracksuits and appointed himself Supreme Gravity Commander. Thus, the Gravitonians are born, Idaho and Arkansas get dragged into the investigation, and a completely reasonable conversation becomes exactly the kind of funny podcast chaos you'd expect from The Rizzuto Show. From there, somehow, things get even stranger. The conversation tumbles into Heaven's Gate, Jonestown, Marshall Applewhite, Nike Decades, purple shrouds, Flavor Aid getting absolutely robbed of its historical brand recognition, and the crew trying to remember which unsettling cult detail belongs to which unsettling cult. This is less of a history lesson and more four people opening the same mental junk drawer at once. Eventually the crew becomes especially fascinated by Heaven's Gate's sneaker selection, because apparently even impending extraterrestrial departure requires a respectable shoe game. Then somebody wisely decides it's time to stop talking about cults and play trivia. This turns out to be only marginally safer. The Rizz Quiz returns with contestants getting 45 seconds to answer as many questions as possible—but one wrong answer immediately ends the run. No passing. No mercy. No blaming the educational system afterward. Questions cover everything from Roman numerals and the Grand Canyon to Nutella, Winnie the Pooh, human anatomy, Peter Pan, baseball, Garfield and the horrifying mathematics of nickels.Chris starts things off before the Colorado River causes problems. Diego gets ambushed by the number of years in a century. Brad suddenly turns into the final boss with a seven-answer run featuring hazelnuts, Rhode Island, Africa, Piglet, club sandwiches and Canada. Jared tries to chase him down until the “white part of an egg” becomes an intellectual brick wall. Then Round Two arrives.Brando tears through Jefferson City, football fields, Cookie Monster and Dr Pepper before the human skeleton ruins his streak. Cameron learns that lions have a pride, not a pack. Aaron encounters a fairy named “Tinder Bell,” which frankly deserves its own dating app. Finally, Brian gets Garfield's least-favorite day correct before informing all of St. Louis that there are 50 nickels in a dollar. There are 20.We checked.Probably twice after this episode. It's another funny podcast packed with daily humor, sarcastic commentary, weird stories, St. Louis radio chaos and the beautiful sound of confident people discovering they are confidently incorrect. If you enjoy comedy podcasts where celebrity gossip and weird news can suddenly give way to a serious debate over cult sneakers and elementary-school trivia, welcome home. Expectations were already low, and somehow we found a basement.Come for the eight seconds without gravity. Stay for the contestants losing their grip on arithmetic. This funny podcast episode proves once again that The Rizzuto Show can turn a ridiculous internet claim, an uncomfortable history detour and a handful of trivia questions into a complete collapse of civilized morning radio.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Donno lays out what would qualify as a successful season for the Miami Hurricanes, arguing that after making the national championship game last season, the next step is finally winning the ACC. He says the minimum goal should be an ACC championship and at least one College Football Playoff win, with the ultimate goal being a national championship. Plus, the guys break down Miami's schedule and what it could take for the Canes to make another deep playoff run.

I gave a lecture about "Blending the Elements of Experiential Design" on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Seattle XR in Seattle, Washington. (PDF of Slides]. At the end, I run through some examples of the types of interdisciplinary fusion that I see within the context of immersive storytelling and immersive art. This lecture also digs into the process-relational philosophical foundations, as well as how I'm gaining additional inspiration from Empedocles, Aristotle, and the Classical Quadrivium (Four Arts) of Math, Music, Geometry, and Astronomy. For my 30+ hours of coverage of Venice Immersive, then I apply this archetypal framework to help describe the context, quality, character, and story of each of these projects. You can see an overview of how I've been using this framework in this PDF on "Venice Immersive 2025 Archetypal Categorizations" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01M5NcOYzx0 One of goals of this talk was to further define the archetypal nature of the elements, and how I'm conceiving of them as a possibility space of design tradeoffs (C.S. Peirce's "Firstness"), but also as the concrete decisions that an experiential designer makes ("Secondness"), and then finally how these decisions are experienced more from a phenomenological experience as the audience as we feel, sense, act, and make sense of these experiences, and what they might mean ("Thirdness"). I do not actually dive into Peirce's concepts of Firstness, Secondness, or Thirdness in this specific talk, but I wanted to elaborate on these concepts in this write-up as these have been crucial concepts to help translate the overall abstract Firstness quality of my talk, and ground it into the Secondness of something that is a bit more practical and pragmatic. For Peirce, his semiology is grounded into a triune theory of actualization that goes from a non-Boolean possibility space as Firstness, and then grounds into a Boolean actualization of secondness, and then an interpretant mediates from the concreteness of the Secondness object back to the Firstness of the fundamental archetypal qualities or meaning. I find speculative philosopher James Bradley's summary of the Peirce's triune semiology to be the most easy to digest in his essay titled, "Beyond Hermeneutics: Peirce's Semiology as a Trinitarian Metaphysics of Communication." I can also recommend this article on "Peirce's Theory of Signs" from the The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy for a comprehensive recap, and there's also this excellent YouTube series primer by Philosign's Markus Raninen titled The Basics of Semiotics. But here's Bradley's description of Firstness, Secondness, and Thirdness, which I find myself coming back to again and again. "Within the fundamental speculative triunity of activity, difference and order, or firstness, secondness and thirdness, semiology is an analysis of order or thirdness… Thirdness is analyzed as idea or sign, as the exchange of information between individual entities, and as interpretation; in other words, thirdness is itself a threefold of sign, object and interpretant. Here, sign occupies the position of firstness because it is the potentiality for interpretation; object occupies that of secondness because it is determinate; and the interpretant occupies that of thirdness because the interpretant has the sign-interpreting or sign-ordering role, and so has the status of a third. [24] Thus for Peirce semiology is the analysis of the triune relation of sign, object and interpretant." It's still a bit obtuse, and one way that I like to think about it is through the experience of communication. You have a possibility space of meaning you want to convey (Firstness of the sign/potential), then you choose specific words that convey that meaning (Secondness of the object), then someone listens to those words and phrases, and then connects those words back to a meaning space (Thirdness of the interpretant mediating between the two). For Peirce, each of the Firstness, Secondness, and Thirdness can also refer to themselves, like you can have a Firstness of Thirdness or Secondness of Firstness. It gets a little bit confusing, but I found the following graphic from Collected Essays in Speculative Philosophy (2021) by James Bradley and edited by Sean McGrath to be very useful. Within the context of immersive storytelling, then it's a semiotic process of communication of meaning where you're able to use all sorts of affordances from game design, literature, social dynamics and relations, music, film, lighting, architecture, dance, theme park design, sensory design, and embodiment. My Elemental Theory of Presence attempts to simplify this into the following: Fire Element of Active Presence: Interactivity, Agency, Game Design Air Element of Mental & Social Presence: Meaning, Semiotics, Language, Possibility, Form, Relationality Water Element of Emotional Presence: Experiential Processes, Story, Film, Music, Cycles, Time Earth Element of Environmental & Embodied Presence: Sensory, Immersive, Worldbuilding, Space I elaborate on the various philosophical frameworks that I'm leaning up within this talk that I gave on June 6, 2026, but since then I've been diving more into Peirce and his Triune Metaphysics and Semiology of Firstness, Secondness, and Thirdness, which has been a helpful framework as I've been applying the elements to my Venice Immersive Coverage and categorizing the elemental center of gravity for each of the nearly 40 projects that I covered. Again see this framework in this PDF on "Venice Immersive 2025 Archetypal Categorizations" to see how I have been thinking about each of these projects. I used this approach in the introductions for each of my podcast episodes from Venice (see the links down below). Firstness of Fire: Creativity, Novelty, Intention, Purpose, Goals, & Aristotle's Final Cause Secondness of Fire: Interactivity & Core Gameplay Loops Thirdness of Fire: Agency & Will For Active Presence Examples of Fire: Game Design, Locomotion Options: No Movement, Automatic movement, Teleportation, or free roaming. The LIVENESS of the Live, To what degree does the experience encourage the expression of will and agency? And to what degree does that alter how the narrative unfolds (narrative agency vs participatory interactive moments that customize and flavor the experience)? Virtual CGI vs Cinematic 180/360 Video, Again, check out this PDF on "Venice Immersive 2025 Archetypal Categorizations" to see how I've ranked nearly 40 projects from Venice Immersive 2025 on the relative elemental center of gravity. Some projects feel more like a cinematic immersive film, which would be a bit more biased towards the Water Element. Some projects are more focused on the experience of a world that was build, and more focused on the Earth Element. Some projects are asking you to Read a book together with other people, which is more focused on the Air Element. And then other more game-like experiences are focused on using interactions as their primary mode of engagement, and so they're more focused on the fire element. There are 64 total combinations of the elements in terms of the first, second, third, or four centers of gravity, and you can see the comprehensive visualization here: Technically, all four elements are always happening all at once all at the same time. However, in experiential design, then creators can emphasize and blend elements together. So I find that ranking the elements can be helpful in determining an overall center of gravity, and that looking at the first two centers of gravity can achieve a sufficient job of creating some ad hoc, immersive and "elemental genres....

What happens when you really click with another person or couple, maybe even have great sex, and then find yourself hurt or jealous when they connect with someone else?In Episode 83, April and Scott talk about the invisible agreements we sometimes create in non-monogamy without ever discussing them.Maybe you've played together before and assumed it would happen again. Maybe you went to an event together expecting to spend the night together. Maybe you felt close to someone and were surprised by your jealousy when they met someone new. Problems can arise when those assumptions affect how we treat someone who never knew we had them.We also explore how differently people experience sexual desire. Attraction, chemistry, and opportunity may lead one person toward sex, while someone else can enjoy the same chemistry without wanting to take it further. Previous sex doesn't guarantee future sex.We talk about what happens when disappointment creates pressure, why someone else shouldn't have to manage our reaction to hearing no, and how this can affect consent. April also shares how fear of disappointing people influenced some of her own choices in the past.Plus, we get into jealousy between friends and play partners, compersion, autonomy, community, and why communicating our hopes can prevent unspoken expectations from creating hurt feelings.Want more of our deeper conversations? Welcome, gorgeous souls, to Episode 444 of Aligned Abundance! ✨In this week's episode, I'm exploring the difference between healthy and unhealthy expectations when it comes to manifesting your desires - and whether your expectations could actually be blocking what you're trying to receive. Having big dreams and believing they're possible is a powerful part of manifestation. But there's a difference between expecting abundance to be available to you and becoming emotionally attached to exactly how, when and in what form your desires have to arrive. In this episode, I'm sharing why our ego can become so invested in a particular outcome that we unknowingly put our desires in a chokehold. I'll explore why releasing expectations doesn't mean lowering your standards or giving up on your dreams, but instead expanding your expectations beyond what you can currently imagine and creating space for something even bigger, better or more aligned to find you.In this episode, I'm sharing:Why healthy expectations and attachment aren't the same thingHow your ego can become emotionally invested in a specific outcomeWhy releasing expectations doesn't mean lowering your standards or dreamsHow focusing on the exact "how" can limit what you're available to receiveBecause sometimes the most abundant thing you can do is hold the vision, take aligned action and leave enough space for the Universe to show you just how much bigger and better your dreams could become ✨Resources mentioned in this episode:Reset to Receive (FREE 60-min Reset): 19th AugustJoin the Manifestation Membership: August's Theme: Possibilities-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Explore More Ways to Manifest Your Dream Life...
