In this show, I dive into the toughest, funniest, and most controversial topics known to man. I intend to be serious at some points but hilarious at others, always keeping the audience guessing. I hope you enjoy! Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/euan-dunn/support
Happy April-fools day! Today both myself and special guest Eli Roberts, hop on the podcast (through a zoom call) to discuss his recent commitment to Bellarmine University to play basketball. In addition to that, we discuss our main topic, contemplating whether humans are superior to other life on this earth. The audio is a little different than you may be used to but the conversation remains strong throughout. I hope you enjoy! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/euan-dunn/support
In this raw unedited episode, I give my thoughts on the corona-virus and how it has affected our world. With school being closed, people my age have potentially lost a handful of things: prom, our sports seasons, our senior trip, and perhaps even the ability to walk the halls for the last time. This is rough, however, is it life-altering? Listen to hear more and I hope you enjoy! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/euan-dunn/support
In episode 8, I dive into forgiveness and why it's essential to the functioning and flourishing of our world. When discussing the topic, I explain and reference a book called "The Sunflower" by Simon Wiesenthal, a survivor of the holocaust. In the philosophical narrative, he is summoned to the deathbed of a member of the Schutzstaffel (SS) and is asked for forgiveness by the dying the soldier. I use this lens to unravel all aspects of forgiveness and provide my opinion on how one should approach it in today's world. As the 2020 Tokyo Olympics come closer and closer (assuming they are not cancelled due to the coronavirus), the debate about the presence of transgender athletes has arisen once more. Where do we draw the line when it comes to inclusion? Is it safe and fair to allow transitioned athletes to dominate the sports world? I ask you to keep an open-mind, as all these things will be discussed on this segment of Consider it Dunn. I hope you enjoy! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/euan-dunn/support
In another controversial episode, I speak on human relationships and whether people should be willing to build them with others who don't believe the same as they do. If you were a Republican, would you date a Democrat? If you were a Democrat, would you date a Republican? Even easier than that, would you be friends with someone who thought differently than you? I cover all these questions in this short segment and I hope this makes you ponder on how you deal with this in your own life. I also hope that you enjoy! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/euan-dunn/support
If you have listened to any of my podcasts before, you know that I have had some run-ins with my schools administration. At certain points, I do believe things were handled the right way, and at other points I believe that people I love and myself were treated unfairly; however, this podcast is not about me or those people. Today I cover the rights that students have in our public school systems. I talk about what you can say, write, wear, express, post, and much more. I hope you find this useful to you. Welcome and thank you for listening in to episode four! In this segment, special guest Evan Showalter and I dive into the current nature of high school cliques and relationships. We break down both in separate parts of the episode. If you would only like to hear about relationships, feel free to skip to about eighteen minutes and you will manage to save some time. Evan discusses how he currently is involved with parts of the topic and why they are important to him. We hope you enjoy! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/euan-dunn/support
At around 10AM this morning on the west coast, Kobe Bryant and his daughter were killed in a helicopter crash along with seven others. They were on their way to one of his daughters basketball events-a trip they had taken so many times in a helicopter- when the helicopter descended through a certain type of mechanical failure. I spend this raw, unedited episode reflecting on his impact on the world. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/euan-dunn/support
Hello everyone and welcome to episode two. In this slightly controversial episode, I dive into the complicated nature of morality; what it is, ideas about where it came from, and whether or not mankind falls under a universal standard of morality. Like the first episode, this is not going to have a concrete answer or an abundance of evidence that is tangible (like the conscience). When looking into issues this complex, you have to look inwards and the nature of humans in our world for the pieces to come together. In addition to defining and explaining morality, I also speak on the beliefs on the topic by each generation. Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/euan-dunn/support
In this opening episode, I waste zero time, diving into one of the most provocative topics known to all of mankind: where do we go after we die? I strengthen the discussion with the inclusion of near death experiences and the legitimacy of very famous accounts of them, and then proceed to discuss justifications and possible evidence of the existence. Enjoy! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/euan-dunn/support
